Mojo Mike: I retired in 2019 and I was totally in the dumps and without direction. I was really feeling lost. Aviation was just a dream, a topic to kill time on CZcams living vicariously thru others. One day I came across your channel and your various evaluations of the Czech Sportcruiser/PiperSport and other small GA aircraft. I became totally addicted to your channel and your enthusiasm, but more importantly your open humility about your journey into aviation. Watching a young black dude "reaching for the gold ring" in America, and having success, really struck a chord with me. You gave me clarity that the only thing standing between me becoming a pilot or not was myself. Within a year I had devoured all of your videos and a ton of other online aviation stuff, including Trent Palmer and Paul Bertorelli at AvWeb amongst others, and bought myself a PiperSport. In 2020 I got my certificate, and I just flew my 500th hour the other day. Without guys like you (especially you) and the other aviation content providers, I can guarantee you that I would never have become a pilot. Thank you so much. Mojo Mike: Congrats to you and your wife. You were probably one of the first aviation sites I started to watch on CZcams. I started watching every episode while you were building that beautiful airplane. I'm sorry to see you sell it but can understand why with the little ones. Whoever buys it (boy would I love to) is really buying a piece of you. All you need to do is point them to your channel (chances are they already subscribed) and that's all you'll need to say. I can't wait to see what happens next. I would also like to say congratulations on your flight school. I wish I lived close because there is nothing more I would like than to have you take me through my IFR. Good luck with your little ones and the flight school. I’ve got to know, with all the pressurized planes out there, what are your initial ideas for your next plane with your kind of panel that you are now use to?? A single, twin for the family’s added safety, or even turboprop for safety and speed?

Wow. Always a surprise, yet we always knew you are constantly stepping up and this day was inevitable. 661MG is a fantastic platform and will make the next owner very happy. We have struggled with our next upgrade. Always want faster and higher, but very few in that category maintain the chute option. (Vision jet doesn't fit our mission or accountants plans). Looking forward to your next steps (and I have an idea what it is but will reserve comment ...)

Mike, I was the unofficial “copilot” of my dad’s Cessna 337. It had two NAVCOMs, ADF, glide slope indicator and autopilot. Your plane puts that 337 to shame. The auto prop pitch
control, push button start GPS, 3 point seatbelts, Sirius XM and parachute weren’t even dreamed of in the seventies. The very paint gives the aircraft a natural metal look. It’s just a very beautiful aircraft! So when you announced you were selling your Sling I was shocked until you said the magic words”pressurized cabin”. So I’m excited to learn about the next stage of your advancement in general aviation and looked forward to your future videos.

Anyone with kids understands. As you add kids and they get bigger, your modes of transportation may need to change. We have two kids and I remember having to give up my sport sedan when our second kid came along. Switching to the minivan was a bit of an adjustment. 🙂

Buy a lancair 4p. I have about 50 hrs of right seat flying 137lt. My buddy built it over 6 years. It is pressurized and very fast.
It's worth every penny that the new owner gives for it! Good luck with the sale. I hope you build your next plane too!

Mike, pressurization is a game changer, both for comfort and for getting over most weather. I don’t know what your budget looks like, but may I suggest a Piper PA-46 (piston or turbine). They are wonderful 6-place, pressurized, cabin-class aircraft that have long legs. I have 3 small kids like you. We love our PA-46! It’s a mini-airliner. You will need about $500K to get into the bottom end of the PA-46 line, but they are well worth it. I won’t lie, they are expensive to maintain but cheap for what they do (if you understand what I’m saying). You will cruise between 225 knots to 270 knots in the flight levels. FIKI equipped of course. Best wishes! I enjoy your vids. Btw, some of your vids covered the Velocity aircraft. I built (and still own) one of those too. Another fast, efficient, cross-country aircraft, but not pressurized, of course (or FIKI), so would meet your new needs. Cheers!
Wow Mike, I am a fare weather pilot, so altitude and oxygen has never been a problem! If you feel you need to go higher in a light aircraft due to weather you should be on the ground, regardless of your rating. Also, kids grow up at lightning speed. Before you know it, it's just you and the wife again. I would think twice if I were you, can't beat the economy of that sling! You will have to fork out a lot to get something better, unless you have the means to go Diamond DA50, you may end up regretting it!
