- In this episode of Behind the Wheel, a comparison between the 2020 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross and the 2020 Suzuki XL7 in the Philippines. Both offer great utility with seven seats, high ground clearance and frugal 1.5-liter gasoline engines. Will Caco give the win to the P1,255,000 Xpander Cross or the P1,068,000 XL7?

I own a Corolla Altis, 2020 Suzuki XL7 and 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander. Here are my thoughts about the Xpander and XL7 for those who would like know:
Handling :
Xpander has better handling especially around the corners maybe because of the bigger and wider tires. almost no body roll. both have very light steering wheel and short turning radius. XL7 also is very sensitive to crosswinds, you can really feel it when driving on skyway or windy highways
NVH:
XL7 has better NVH for me and less vibrations especially if you hold the shift knob when you rev the engine. However, xpander has a quieter engine when you rev it but when you rev the XL7, it really sounds like a sports car haha! but both XL7 and Xpander pales in comparison with the NVH of the corolla altis. When both are travelling at 100km/hour, XL7 has better NVH. You can really hear the wind noise in the side mirrors of the xpander at these speeds while the XL7 has none.
Aircon:
XL7 takes the cake on this one. it is colder than the Xpander and it has auto climate controls. It also cools your drinks
Headlights:
XL7 also takes this one, although I installed the same 3M tint, the XL7 clearly has a better LED lighting at night especially during the rainy days. In addition, the XL7 has a leveling adjuster so you can control the headlights
Comfort:
Xpander has better driving comfort for the driver (especiall for long drives) because of the tilt and telescopic steering wheel and that enormous arm rest. I always feel numb legs after 2 hours of driving in the XL7 (I'm 5'8 by the way). Both are comfortable enough but when you are alone and travelling in EDSA, both are bouncy at the back because maybe of the stiff rear suspension which is understandable. cannot compare both with the comfort of a corolla altis
Space:
Xpander is wider and you can feel it inside but in terms of the 3rd row legroom, the XL7 is better
Fuel Economy:
Almost both are the same in my experience for mixed driving City and highways. If there is a difference, for me its very minimal.
Safety:
both have just 2 airbags, but the XL7 have side impact door beams.
Interior:
No question on this one, its the xpander but be careful as the piano black plastics scratches easily. mine already has scratches while the XL7 has none yet
Features:
I just wish the Xpander has outside temperature sensor as that of the XL7. In addition, the xpander cannot detect which door is open and you have to check each door which is open, while the XL7 can detect which door is open
how about the looks? which one is more 'pogi'?
@@jaysalva7477I would say the xpander. But the white XL7 really looks good.
this is insane, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these cars
@@jaysalva7477They are both pogi in my opinion. Xpander has a more pogi 'mean' look while the XL7 has a 'conservative' pogi look. 🎉
I am in process of buying the 2023 XL7 (not hybrid) in Jamaica from Stewart's Auto. My mechanic says only the xl7 hybrid will be manufactured globally going forward. How will I get parts to service my XL7 which is not hybrid in future four (4) years down the road?
Keep on praying, working hard and dreaming guys someday you will be driving your own 4 wheels. It was Dec. of 2018 when I first laid my eyes on a Ertiga at one of the Malls in Manila. And ever since, I keep on following AutoDeal videos on Ertiga.
God is so good that fastforward, Dec. 2019 when I bring home my Ertiga.
For with God nothing is impossible. God bless everyone.
Amen
Man, this guy deserves to have his own talk show. 👍
He'd be the only one talking though, no-one else could get a word in. lol.
@@lancered4234 talks faster than the speed of both vehicles combined!
@Mitzi Rascal not me. Been 3 years since I started listening to him. I rarely listen to the comments of others about cars.
@Mitzi Rascal peace and love my friend.
Super agree
Yung feeling na excited na excited kang manood from start to end kasi bet na bet mo ang car, tapos ending wala ka palang pambili ang sakit sakit beshyyyy
It's been 3 weeks of research, googling, going to ertiga, xl7, innova, Avanza, rush, expander, g50, okavango, whoa lots of choices. Then comes to availability of funds. Unlike the government who has the habit to spend more than the allowable budget, I really go to every centavo in my pocket. Having 3 children in college every thing must be consider. Gladly my wife with our small canteen business and I being employed, we decided for xl7. It got style, space and economy that we need as a people transport and a hauler of supplies for our small business. Great review.
Hi Dj, I'm eyeing to buy this car also. Would you mind sharing you're experience like average kmpl and issues you've encountered so far? Thanks a lot
@@jcaspe for the past 4 months im satisfied of having this car. it got style, comfort, gas economy, and overall performance. one thing you will find is that it need a little push on the pedal to overtake but cruising and long drive prefromance is very good. daily drive around 13kms per liter, highway speed between 80 to 100kph 14 to 14.5 kms per liter. AC isvery cold even this summer with 5 passengers. driving in hilly and mountinous area very capable. baguio owners are satisfied according to them. its a good family car. dont expect it to be racing against another car.
Thanks a lot Dj! Hopefully I can get mine soon. :)
You know the hardest part of watching this channel ? Is that you’re not financially stable enough to buy these cars and it feels bad man.
I just wish Philippine public transport improves so we don't have to dream of owning a car. Too expensive :/
Everything starts with a dream
In my opinion ha don't ever bother to buy these two
I feel u bruh 😢😢😢
@@karlo9535 o,
Caco is the most entertaining car reviewer in the country! Period.
For the conios, probably yes. But Ramon Bautista is more entertaining doing car reviews.
Yeah but sometimes his conyos is too much
Agreeeeeeee
Which country
He's THE BEST. And I'm not coño.
Even if the Xpander Cross was priced like the XL7, I'd still choose the XL7 for better NVH, fuel economy and looks. Compared to the other MPVs excluding the Innova (because it's waaay better than these), the XL7 is the most underrated and the smartest choice.
I'd pick the xl7 too just for the better nvh.
Brother of ertiga d best..
How about reliability?
@@gutadin5suzuki multicab, 2009, until now is good
XL7 is going to be my first car ❤️

Woooaaaahhhhhh the long wait is over, thanks for this comparo AUTODEAL AND SIR CACO. MORE BLESSINGS TO COME!
Always amusing and entertaining when Caco presents car reviews. Ride on dude!
So nice review...well presented. I got a good enough understanding of the similarities, differences and the distinct identity of both. Kudos to Caco and his whole team for a brilliant comparo here of 2 very well equipped, value for money 7 seaters...This segment, I think will sell a lot considering the nice deal it offers and each one of these will surely have their own share of excited and happy buyers.
This if the first video review from yourself that I have seen, Really enjoyed your crazy energy approach, very different to most reviewers, but still informative. ,
This is my favorite car review so far😍 cant help smiling while watching this.love your humor,Sir😂😁
Clicked like even before watching the video.
Early this year, I was considering Ertiga, BR-V, Rush and Xpander. Thanks to Autodeals reviews. My number 1 consideration is always the price. Ertiga was my choice. But knowing that XL7 is coming with just a 75k additional on the price, I went for it. Now I'm enjoying my XL7.
Autodeal reviews not only review cars but also helps you decide on what car to buy. Thanks Autodeal.
good choice... i have ertiga but i want xl7 for recomendation of my indian and other asian workmate.
how is the power?
Whats your fuel consumption? City and long drives
The best review ever! Very clear! Now i know what we will choose and its XL7👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Okay, 2 ads agad at the very start of the vid pnanood at tnapos ko for Sir Caco and the rest of the Autodeal team, because u guys deserve it. Keep up the good work po. So much respect!! :)
superb review, thanks sir Caco and Autodeal! This is the comparo that I was dying to see, these 2 mvp's were at the top of my list whew!
I love XL7 and im planning to buy it as my 1st car.. thank you Mr. Caco
Xl7 is value for money, thinking of buying xpander cross?try to consider Toyota Innova E diesel with that price tag.
Haha patawa din Innova touring sport. Useless accessories. Better value talaga innova E.
Or add 100k more and get the base mu-x automatic. But agree with the innova e, bang for the buck mpv. I'm not sold on the xl7 though, i'd rather buy the ertiga and save more.
Go for the Innova!
Mismo toyota innova e tapos palit agad gulong instant rugged look.
Mas sulit sa 1.3m
My innova 2.8 kami sa baguio pang harabas ginawa namin taxi.
Yung crosswind namin na diesel buhay pa
Ung avanza binenta ng bargain dahil sirain. Kaya buti hindi kmi natuloy kumuha ng xpander or rush.
Kahit yung innova gasoline matic mas okay pa kaysa sa xpander cross nato
Love the detailed comparison. More of these kinds of videos please.
Thanks for the review! Thanks Mr. Caco! ☺️
When I see caco, I tap the like button. Please also do comparo of MG ZS, Geely Coolray and Chery Tiggo 5X, that would be amazing!
Watched this comparo several times before we decided to go for XL7! 😉
Perfect time. Already sold on Suzuki XL7 due to its price and features. Can't wait to get my hands on it this coming December. Great Comparo as always Autodeal PH.
How is your experience so far?
I like your humor within the content, never boring.
always the best review.. kudos to autodeal. Hope to buy my 1st car to autodeal someday. 👍👍👍
Excellent video, im amaze at how good are the transitions, they way you explain things, really fast and to the point, this 11 minute video felt like a 5 minutes video, congratulations your job is on another level compare to other CZcams channels. I would like to see more of the XL7 and what version was the one you review here?
Xl7 only has 1 version/variant. 😊
Great video, I'm looking for many options since my country and Philippines share so many things in common, even the car market, greetings from Mexico!
I love this guy. He is hilarious as well as seemingly very objective.
I concur, the host really makes an impact.. parang gusto ko bilhin lahat nang nire review nya hahaha
More of this Comparo episodes please!
Behind the Wheel review of Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid please sir Caco and team. Best car review channel, looking forward everyweek to new uploads.
IMHO, Suzuki offers better (atleast for being value for money) for each of their models as compared to its competitors however Filipinos tend to think that its resale value is too darn low. Been with the old Vitara until the current Celerio and I can definitely say na they are more refined than others.
Bumili ka ba ng sasakyan para ibenta lang? 😅
correct
How's Suzuki's aftermarket service?
Joshua Wilfred San Gabriel acceptable. Mostly naman ng parts meron sa kanila though yung iba talaga na major parts are may waiting time from Thailand or India
true
been waiting for this comparo
Excellent and entertaining review. I'm actually at the crossroad with these 2 models that's why I checked this video out. I noticed that the engine of the XL7 doesn't have a cover on it unlike the Cross and the XL7's engine frame is not well polished as the Cross. Some say it's the "crumple zone" and the XL7 is just not that well painted, but it looks like the body frame and engine frame were welded together in that area.
Caco's feud with Earl is starting to get out of hand! lol! But I love it!
You seem like uncle roger of the Philippines fun and exciting to watch. By the way your productions are great. I loved it. Kudos
Ive been waiting for this. Also, what do youthink about maxus?
I can listen to caco all day. Very entertaining 😁
i like review your channel because you compare with the detail and say the thruth . this is good review.
I bought the Xl7 last August, the fuel economy is insane even with AC on. on the highway, it seems as if the gas gets more the longer i drive!
From Indonesia i gotta tell you this is funny 😂. Especially Earl scene
Awesome review, as usual👌👍
Kahit ambilis nya magsalita, napaka clear ng mga words nya... 👍👍👍👍👍
very entertaining as usual. thank you
GALING MAG EXPLAIN!
HINDI NAKAKAANTOK!
AFTER WATCHING THIS I AM A FAN NOW ☺️
Outstanding review!
Very nice COMPARO.
Kindly include CRASH TEST SCORE in every review. In my own opinion, SAFETY is primary rather than the BLINGs(interior/exterior). My 2-cents opinion.
This channel deserve more subs. Hahaha. Ako lang ba yung tuwang tuwa manuod on this reviews and daydreaming I have one of these car 😪
Haha nice review sir caco .... though its to short but very informative....way to go....
I always love your presentation Caco. Intelligently Funny but detailed. I chose the XL7 as I'm impressed with Suzuki brand since I drove my first gen Vitara 4x4 back in 1994. What sold me was Suzuki's suspension and under chassis' excellent performance and durability.
The best Car review channel 👍.
More of them comparo!
even with 2 featured cars, no wasted moment. nice comparison
The best presenter - sir Caco!
Very informative! Thank you!
amazing comparo!
Good review. Will be better if you can put items like luggage in the cargo area at the back. Cheers.
best car reviewer in the ph!
around 12 yrs ago the kia carens already perfected what these two vehicles are trying to do. says so much about how innovative korean brands are. add to that the old carens is a diesel with 140hp.
sir caco is the best auto reviewer in the Philippines
great review sir caco👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
your the best nothing else
Caco is the best auto reviewer in SEA.
xl7 is my choice i will used the price gap for free gas for the next 30 k miles..parang libre gas k n rin..
Nice comparison between XL7 vs Xpander Cross in similar orange-red colours...
when it comes to exterior, I'd choose the XL7. The Cross seems just a bit too fancy/ stylish which is a bit intimidating especially for people who don't like to attract any unwanted attention (especially from those walking CCTVs in the neighborhood).
Honestly, I'm a girl minimally interested with cars. But wow, I find myself getting more educated by Autodeal hahaha! I love the Ecosport (before) but now.. I might say, I'm picky af already!
Same here! Now I'm addicted to car reviews thanks to Autodeal haha!
He needs to have his own talk show. The best line with a name plate like you going back to school.
Stargazer X owner here! You get what you paid for! Worth it!
Man, Suzuki is killing it on Ertiga and XL7
Oh maybe on Jimny and Ignis too but idk
Too bad this country doesn’t have ignis
@@ShinzouWoSateSateSate the ignis is more like a kia soul but yeah its Suzuki
They are also killing the game with the ever popular Suzuki Swift! Suzuki is rising above the gravity of the games it faces whether it be from sub compact cars to MPVs to SUVs and 4x4s, what have you... This is coming from an Xpander owner. 😉
Even Vitara
I prefer the subtle look of XL7 and fuel economy does the deal.
Kahit d mo tlga afford ung mga nirereview na sasakyan ni caco, papanoorin mo p rin tlga kc super entertaining nung pagrereview nya hahs
this guy is good! The best guy auto reviewer! salute sir
Haha.. this is very entertaining at the same time very informative. Keep it up guys.
You're the man...love it.
Would like to see a comparo of Honda City, Toyota Vios, and Mitsubishi Mirage G4 or, Brio, Wigo, Picanto and Mirage. You guys make good comparos!
I have to say that offers for your market are a bit more flashy than what we have on Europe, but other than the excess on chromed parts, I think these would do well in this market. I wonder why they don't offer them here.
Hi Caco! I request that you should have a Comparo with Toyota Vios, Mitsubishi Mirage G4 and Hyundai Accent
I really enjoy watching
Nice.. they did it again.. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
na enjoy ko panonood sau bro. galing may comedy na pabonus hehe keep up the good work bro.
You guys have some really good videocam equipment. But do please check your focus each shot...
Pls also include power to weight ration in your future reviews😀
thanks Caco.as usual complete and thorough "comparo ".XL7 all the way.
you are my favorite car reviewer
Good content. Hope that you can also include parts availability outside Casa. This is a very important to make that purchase decision on maintaining the car especially after warranty.
This (parts availability outside Casa) info is a good indicator of resale value and if we can keep the car for over 1 dacade (or not). Thanks! 😊
Can you do a reveiw of nissan almera nsport and sylphy? Having a hard time choosing to go honda jazz or nisaan sedans.
I love the humor in reviews
You need to do a comparison for Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. 2 of the best selling rivals in car history.
Sir caco suggest ko lang po sana sa sunod na comparo yung Ford Everest , Toyota Fortuner, and Mitsubishi Montero
Makes me apricate I got our Xpander GLS at 995K with a GoPro in 2018. Better looking than the Cross. :)
Hi, i like you because you are funny i watch your video because im planning to get XL7, Thank you for sharing.
Would recommend this comparo video to my parents especially dad who likes XPander and is a diehard fan of Mitsubishi. I’d personally choose XPander Cross over the XL7, but hey! One can’t go wrong with the latter’s value-for-money proposition.
agree! personally I'd go with xpander cross also
The real value for money is geely coolray. These fakes carbon fiber are rampant on japanese cars recently.
Please make a car review for the upcoming KIA Stonic
cant get enough of this host hihi love you sir caco
XL7 for me as well
We own a Xpander GLS,
but had the Suzuki XL7 come earlier, I would have swayed, courted, possibly pleaded, my family to get us that.
Really have no idea what's up with Xpander Cross and the price.
XL7 really is good value.
And now I want those vented cup holders for that hot coffee they usually give out on take-outs.
just asking how much is the lowest DP for XL7 and expander? How much is the monthly installment for 5 years
I hope you will have a comparison of Maxus G50 vs Toyota Innova
A Comparo for BRV and XPANDER CROSS PLEEEEEEEEAAASE!
