We line up the Cross versus its upgraded GLS sibling in our latest Car Comparo. The looks might be subjective but are the differences inside and under the metal worth going for the highest Xpander variant or are you okay with some bolt-ons instead? Let us know in the comments!

Nahh. Xpander Cross way too expensive. I'd rather spend a bit more for either the Hyundai Stargazer X or the Honda Br-v Vx and get the complete safety features (not gimmicks!!!), more advanced tech, more powerful engine, better handling, and better fuel economy. Well, most especially the Stargazer X since it's the roomiest among its competitors. The Br-v is somehow cramped, though.
And what are looks for if the Xpander (especially the Cross variant) significantly lacks many top-of-the-line features and has a conservative engine and transmission setup? The Stargazer's "odd" looks are nothing to be ashamed/frowned upon, and if anything, they are future-forward.

The Stargazaer is a egg man, plain and simple. If youre all about that boring egg life more power to you, personally I want something that reminds me im not totally dead inside. If the Stargazer's looks are your vision of the future, the future is pretty dystopian. Also ADAS is a huge gimmick but that in and of itself is not as bad as the risks it poses with things that literally control your steering wheel while driving and push you in a direction you dont want to go, I can do without all those distractions thanks.

Many buyers of the Xpander either come from the Boomer or Gen X generations (those aged 40s to 60s) and that their number one reasoning for why they choose the Xpander above all else is parts availability… that aren't even genuine parts. "Nakakamura" sila sa mga pyesa ng Xpander kasi hindi galing sa Mitsubishi ang brand ng mga parts nila, at hindi rin sila sa Mitsubishi mismo nagpapa-PMS. Lakas maka-"SUV" looks ng Cross but it's too expensive and they do little to nothing to the actual performance, handling, and safety of the car. For ₱1.3M the Xpander Cross's safety features are way behind the competition, especially the Honda BR-V VX and the Hyundai Stargazer X.
