Thanks for the great tutorial! And as others mentioned the old coolant needs to go to a hazardous waste facility or some autoparts stores will also take it for recycling.

This is a good video. Did you notice loss of coolant when you experienced the heat loss on the driver side?

Problem is it works only temporary I did this for 2 yrs straight now the heater core needs replacement flushing doesn't work for long..and in order to swap cores out well it's not easy correct way you need to remove everything steering wheel whole dash, everything..takes several days 2-3 for amateur mechanics..dealerships want $2,000 to replace..yeah...

You absolutely DO NOT flush your antifreeze down your toilet. Ever....You take it to your local collection place like Walmart or the city dump usually offers those services. Definitely DO NOT dump your toxic antifreeze down your toilet for the city to clean it to recirculate back to your drinking water of all the community. Please.

What? in about 90%of the country that is exactly what you do. Quote from Minnesota EPA: "There are two options [for used anti-freeze] , recycle at a MnDOT approved recycling service or discharge to a sanitary sewer system." And sanitary sewer system is your toilet in most places. If you have a septic systerm/field, you should not, but take it to a friends house and flush it down their toilet. You should go to "bob the oil guy" website forums, where your claims have been debunked over and over with actual citations of code in all the states.

I bought my jeep in 2012 and had to replace the heater core twice under warranty because of casting sand. When I asked what happens if it happens again when I’m out of warranty and the infamous answer was I would have to cover the replacement! Well it happened again and I’m not paying $2900.00 to replace it a third time! I’m praying your flush works or it’s time to trade her in! What’s sad is Jeep knew about the issue but didn’t stand behind there product!
