Quick overview of how to diagnose why your Jeep Wrangler JK has NO HEAT. This is in a 2014 model and it ends up being a faulty temperature blend door actuator which is a very common failure on these. If your engine is not getting up to operating temp or one/both of the heater core hoses are cold this video wont help you. `

(2014 Jeep Wrangler JK) I actually just fixed it w/out having to take anything apart...The plastic arm was just jammed in the spline shaft. I laid my head underneath, awkwardly, and shined a flashlight on the white arm and pushed on it till it moved. I turned the Jeep on and switched from cold to hot and it worked on its own. 😊 Thanks for the video!

Perfect mix of on-target information and visuals, without a lot of needless blather and self-promotion. Heater is now working - thanks!

Very helpful today. Turns out my actuator was only "stuck" once I shoved it manually it went back to correct operation (no replacement required...yet!) Thanks for showing exactly what to look for.

In my case (2011 JK), the pivoting arm was just jammed in the cold position. Without taking anything apart and laying on my back in the footwell, I took a look upwards directly above the gas pedal area and with a flashlight had a pretty clear view of the mechanism. With the key on I rotated the dial and nothing was moving. I used a piece of wood dowel to poke and prod the part around a bit, heard a click sound, and it came back to life. I sprayed some white lithium grease on it and it seems good to go. I'm still going to buy a new part though and replace it in the very near future. Thanks for the video!

The door blend actuators on Jeeps are basically extortion.

Hey, I’m wondering if this might work the other way. My JK 2011 is not blowing cold air. I just had it regassed and the mechanic thinks it might be the evaporator. This will cost me many dollars if so.

Wow, thank you!! Great freaking video!! I’m in the process of learning more and more about fixing my Jeep Wrangler 2013 JK. I recently had bad clicking in my dash and my steering controls weren’t working on right side. I replaced the actuator but blindly not realizing the air duct was so easy to remove (being novice). Thus creating my AC/heating system to stay in the “heating” position. It’s looking like based off this video I set the arm in the wrong position. Wish I found this video when I first replaced my actuator 🤪 thanks again dude for great audio, video, and explanation 🤘

Thanks for sharing this, it was a lifesaver! Especially since the dealership wanted over $400 to replace it. Took me less than an hour thanks to your video.

God sent god sent ! You are a blessing. O’Reilys had door actuator for $25 and my oldest son (13) put it in. I held the flash light and screws 🔧. I went 1.5 years shivering before seeing the right video and working on the JKU to fix the problem.

THANK YOU!!!!!! My heater quit working about 2 weeks ago and we’ve had the coldest winter that I can remember in FL, I flushed the heater core over the weekend still no heat, very frustrating. Came across your video and thought I’d try it, looks simple enough. Fixed my heat!!!

I can’t think of what else it could be! I swear I hear my actuator working, but maybe it’s something else! Back to the grind! 😂 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
