    Its interesting to see you using Sketchup for blocking / modeling your scenes. Its very clever, its way closer to how old games where build levels with BSP Geometry. Pasting texture sheets seems to be way more intuitive that way too. Great work as always!

    Even just watching you create and explore these scenarios,without context or any particular event involving the mechanics or plot of the game,i really enjoyed it. You nailed the atmosphere,and the film ads in the metro are a wonderful detail. i always looked at posters or images and paintings in ps1 games,noticing the faces,trying to understand writings and such.

    Do you actually have rights to use images you created in Dale 2 for commercial stuff? If not or you're just concerned about it try out a local installation of Stable Diffusion. Totally open source and results free to use in commercial ventures. Also there's no limits to how much you can generate which is huge. I tend to generate 50+ images and then pick the best one.

    • @AaronMYoung

    The AI usage is really clever, great work. The failed attempt at english writing actually makes the game feel more like one of those Japanese games from the 90s where the artist would just add random english words and hope it worked. i wonder about the legality of using images from the internet to make textures.

    • @AaronMYoung
      @AaronMYoung  Před rokem

      I'm not 100% on this myself however the images act as a reference and not as a final result as you see in the video. It's not accurate to say these are one to one copies and due to the lower resolution of the final design it's hard to even compare where it might have come from... I put more effort into the texture than just copy and pasting so I guess it's a grey area legally and I haven't found anything that directly says I can't do it so who knows ?
