I wanted a ragdoll cat my whole childhood. Finally, I could afford the ONE! She’s nothing like typical ragdoll temperament & she prefers my husband!😭The black cat I got, for free, out of guilt for buying such an expensive cat, is my most favorite! Lol
That what happened to me with my siamese wanted one since childhood love the talkative Siamese personality ended up with a quiet not vocal, reserve, Siamese but I love him . Cat got from the Humane Society is very social she like a dog.

I adore how spicy tiny Vega is! This video brought me such joy and laughter. I have a tiny flock of 5 who are nearly 7 weeks old and it cracks me up how they run in terror as my 5 year old just chases them wanting to love on them. She successfully picks up a few of them and totes them around while petting and blowing kisses, it's the cutest thing ever.
I think you are so precious and I love Vega too she is absolutely beautiful and so talkative. I think she is touching you as a form of communication

I LOVE Turkens!! I had Turkens when i lived in Texas and they were all friendly. I've wanted them again but haven't found any around where I am in Indiana.

Greetings from Thailand. I got two Appenzeller Spitzhauben hens that were just as wild as your little naked neck. Like you i resolved to tame them if it was the last thing I did. It took four months of daily work, but they finally accepted the love. Now they are lap chickens, but the big problem is chicken math has arrived and I want more but can’t find any.
I told myself that five chicks were enough for this spring. My babies are now 10weeks old and i NEEDED to hatch some more of their mamas eggs. (Their mama is a frizzle cochin bantam) and I didn’t get any frizzles from her eggs the first time. 4 weeks forward, my dream babies hatched. A light brahma and 2 white frizzles. And they all hate me 🙈🙈🐣
She is so adorable! I want to have some different breeds of "mini" chickens one day & definitely would love one like her!!❤❤

I have a Leghorn who has never tamed from chick until almost one year now. She is definitely the smartest in the tiny flock and a free spirit. She will rarely let me pick her up but she knows it’s time to go in the pen when I shake the grub container and she can hear it across the pasture!
My 1 yr old chickens don't like to be handled much, but two out of the 7 let me pick up and hold and love on them. My baby chicks I got at 4 days old are wild child chicks. They are about 10 weeks old now. Only one even lets me touch her, the others scatter. I'm hoping in time the more they see me around and hear my voice they will get used to me.

I have a black australorp that I got as a tiny chick from tsc. She’s about a year and a half now and JUST now is ok with being around me. Still can’t handle her well, but it’s slow going. That’s just who she is I guess.

Awe! So sweet that you got your dream chicken, and she's loving you, too! I finally got your book, my Grange Co Op had it (only propper, since I'm in Southern Oregon!). I'm so stoked to read it through when I get the time! Garden season is riding hard with planting right now, and my little flock of seven (one year old in July) gets to free range the garden 4 hours a day. So, of course, I'm working on protecting beds from curious hens also. ❤ This is my second flock since I've been an adult, I lost my last little flock to raccoons. I waited to get more until I could build the Ft Knox of coops and runs. I'm so happy now to have my chickens! ❤

I have a pair of old English Silver Duckwing bantams. Herald and Henrietta. They are 9 years old and still very bossy and the little hen sounds and acts just like Vega. They look a lot alike minus the naked neck. Same size and colors. I adore them even though they are stinkers. Herald tries to flog but he’s so tiny and his spurs are curled so they don’t hurt. They have raised many broods.

My Chihuaussies (14 and 18 pounds) would try to kill the coyote, fox or wolf also.... Although 8 year old Luke LOVES big doggos.... except when he is on leash.
Lucy has been with me for about 7 or 8 years. And she is still skittish. I think that's just their survival mode

I never thought of a dream chicken lol, the dream is already living the chicken life xD but I've wanted some sebrights, brown and/or silver, I'm getting silver soon :) hope for at least one cute rooster, he'll be a keeper. Also Silkies, male and especially female will be great, black ones coming, dunno if they can give me multiple colors lol. beyond that idk, i'd like black coppers for their eggs, those dragon chickens with the fat feet are interesting, but I like your chicken there, it's very talkative with cute noises :)

I have 3 naked necks. They are full size. I have 2 small frizzles. I just got 6 Black Copper Marans and 4 Turkeys. I hope the Turkeys do ok.
If that little chick can be tamed, you will be the one to be able to do it. I have never heard of a naked neck chicken. i saw the picture and thought she was a rescue chicken. maybe with mange. neck mange. 😅 (do chickens get the mange?) she is really cute.

The best way to get her tamed is to make her a house chicken just until she develops a bond with you it's actually not too hard we've had ducks living in our house adults and you can imagine the mess but we had a chicken that had Rye Neck and lived in the house for a month and a half and we developed a great Bond and she is super friendly now you could even just use a dog crate for them to sleep in at night really anything a plastic container with some straw we bought little playpens to put in our kitchen and just line them with potty pads but we also let the chicken free range in the house where it wasn't carpeted but in my experience that's the best way for them to be around you as much as possible before they get too old and set in their ways

my cochin bantam hen loves to eat and peck at my necklace, she loves me and will seek me out to cuddle at bedtime. perhaps youre just reading her wrong? I have a hen that i get into yelling matches with lol she loves me as well. I can relate to all these behaviors Vega is displaying and know the love behind it. Hope you realize and start to feel the love even if its out of the norm for you!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤️
Where do you find these chickens? Is there some super secret forum? Closest Bantam breeders I can find are like 300 miles away :(
I have a friend that shows chickens and he can find just about any kind of chicken I can imagine. There are a few still on my wishlist, though!
I really want to have bantams but we don’t heat our coop and we’re in Alberta so it gets down to like -40 in the winter

@@WelcometoChickenlandia honestly emus are one of my dream birds to own but I don't have the proper food for them or place for them to get out of the weather the only thing I have is a giant pasture. I only said yes to the peacocks because I already had food they can eat because of my turkeys and quail. but now I have to make plans on the aviary because I currently have them living in one of my chicken runs

She looks like she's wearing a toupee. My naked neck silkie was scared of me for almost a year and I hatched her from an egg!
My experience- When i wear My hat, with my girls they seems to get uneasy, nervous.

I now have a broody Buff Orpington that keeps getting up off the nest to eat then goes back onto the wrong nest if there is one with eggs in it. She is so stupid... What do I do with her? She won't stop being broody.
