FILM RIOT "Cinema Pack" "Horror Pack" "Block Buster Pack" / @filmriot - Zábava
I am truly blessed to have friends like The Corridor Crew in my life!
#blessed #youCaneven
Jude Stephen Walko the main heffe himself
Film not available U.K. :(
Will be available worldwide soon. Will let you know.
Honestly, by only making your film available on iTunes and nowhere else you are cockblocking a whole part of your potential audience.
I don't own any apple products. My last apple product was iphone 3gs and after that i decided not to continue on that path.
Therefore, i do not deal with iTunes and probably never will.
By only releasing on iTunes, i will not be able to support you (even though i would like to)..
In todays world you NEED to make your product accessible, and only releasing it on one platform is a huge mistake in my opinion.
At this point, I'm surprised Corridor doesn't have a 3D Scan of THAT Under-Highway spot given how often they've filmed there.
Nurolight they probably do, considering Wren has a 3D Scan of the entire neighborhood
They do!
Jude, not gonna lie, when I saw your face in the thumbnail I instantly pegged you as a grumpy, pessimistic, veteran of film that wasnt going to enjoy sharing what he knows. Now, after watching this video I stand completely corrected. You are one of the most knowledgeable and coolest people I've listened to. You are well spoken and I appreciate the fact that you know how to communicate the knowledge you've gained throughout your time in the business. My question to you is, do you think it's beneficial to pursue film as a hobby? I don't plan on commiting most of my life to film just yet, because I have some goals in my life I'm trying to complete now. Should I continue making small videos and things just in my spare time?
james green I think you should definitely continue doing your “hobby”. A “hobby” can potentially become your job in the future. It’s always a learning experience and you may subconsciously perceive “filming” to be a “hobby”, but ultimately, you’re doubting yourself. Just keep researching and stay confident, while listening to those who criticize your work, as someone’s opinion may help you down the line, but I’d say listen to those who are being sincere and honest towards your work.
VoidX Thank you. This is very helpful.
james green Anytime :)
I've been editing videos on and off since high school, really just as a hobby/a skill I'm interested in honing and despite the fact that I'm pursuing a different career path. Never thought it would make for anything on my CV/resume other than a "here's a fun hobby I do so I can show I'm a well-rounded person", but I recently managed to land an Events Management gig thanks to me being able to talk about my video-making experience as they were keen to have someone on the team with some knowledge in this area.
So yeah mate, abso-fucking-lutely: keep making videos, even if they're just small. You never know where honing such a skill might take you.
Icky Hummus that's awesome :)
"What the HECK is directing?" -Niko Puerigner, director of many projects, July 31st, 2018
LUL
I think he is just making sure people actually know what a director is.
He was asking for the viewers silly goode
Joeyzplaza Whoosh
He's pointing out the irony.
My first thought was future niko time traveled to the present
Renii yeah 😂 I thought the same. Just the beard has advanced.
YES .. I came looking for this comment .. it's an older version of Niko
Oh my God.... Dude you are so right.
Jude, this is Jake Bowen, one of Dan Campbell's GVSU pals and one of the guys who drew a bunch of concept art for what will hopefully be your sophomore feature. Just wanted to say congratulations again and that you're an inspiration to people like me with filmmaking dreams. So cool to see you talking with some of my favorite creators on CZcams. Keep on grinding.
Jake thanks so much!! We will be definitely be doing things together soon!
Well what a happy family, here's a random person to ruin it...
Sounds good.
The production values of these vlogs are getting so good--- I am so glad I get to spend a part of my day with your guys after each upload.
Man I love Adrian, im so glad he's apart of the team and we get to see more of the creative behind the scenes
I love learning from older, wiser people. I’m not even in the filmmaking world, but I just loved it. More plz
I'm glad I could have listened to Jude's talk, thank you for inviting him to the vlog :) It's wonderful to listen to someone's real, hard worked experience. Like he said - he earned this gray hair :)
I really liked how he emphasized the need to be a good, nice, reliable guy. Show up early and respect anyone you work with - nevermind if it's your buddy or huge director. That's the spirit! And it can be applied to any branch of industry. Thanks for that :)
Directing is hard, stressful, and costs a lot of money. Especially when you're trying to share your content on CZcams.
Yet it's the only thing keeping me motivated.
huh
help me
I am literally so pumped for urban link. It's sounds great and the pictures on Instagram are awesome. Looking forward to it
Thanks for the interview that was real cool. Your an awesome guy Jude.
please more videos like this.. i loved how you broke down the decision making for even the lil stuff while creating a short.
Thank you guys for making videos like this there are not many many places I have found to learn about the film industry and videos like this really help.
... Ooooh, Industry VETERAN... I was sitting here thinking 'Okay, when the heck is he gonna start talking about animals?' XD
Lordofthepixel AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA same here dude xD
Lordofthepixel
this joke was awful no offense
We'll, it wasn't a joke, it was an honest reaction I had, so I guess no offense taken? XP
Lordofthepixel
If it wasn't a joke then you should be offended
You might be a dumbass m'dude
What a fantastic interview!!! Thank you
The Corridor Crew episodes are getting so good and educational! Well done guys! And thank you Jude!
I have zero interest in film making or theater or any of that stuff (just here for the lulz) and I'm still thoroughly entertained watching an expert be so generous with his knowledge. You guys are all good people with good people skills and a desire to excel. It shows in your work, and in the BTS stuff. Keep it up and stay awesome.
I can’t wait to see how Urban Zelda turns out! It really gives off the “early days of corridor” vibe and I’m glad (and pleasantly surprised) that Adrian is beautifully bringing back more of the video game themes of days past
Guys... the music in these videos is always so on point. Props to who ever is handling it.
That's a lot of solid advice. Not only with just the movie industry but any industry you're trying to get into! Great video!
Jude seems like an awesome guy, really fun and interesting to listen to his stories. And you're a pretty good interviewer, Niko!
This is one of my favorite vids! Thanks Corridor
Well done! Would love to see more of these types of videos. Thanks guys.
Jude, biggest and/or longest setback/dryspell that you recovered from. Thank you
11:12 - This is the realest piece of advice in the whole video. A few years into my own Hollywood journey from a friend's couch to a new Netflix series and EVERYTHING I've done has been through personal relationships and word of mouth. If people know they can count on you, they'll never want to work with anyone else.
A lot of this advice is great for any industry. 🙌🏻
Awesome video...cant wait for the film...!!!
Very informative video. I'm not getting into film-making, but your points about networking and getting experience wherever you can is something I can use for my field.
Really interesting stuff guys and man this urban zelda video might be my most anticipated corridor video ever! soooo looking forward to this
And honestly im pretty hyped that Adrian is doing it too
Jude really exemplifies what he says about personality being important in the business. He just oozes charisma!
Love this, inspired to strive into this business by your channel as always. Thank you for this and all the years of inspirational content
These educational videos are the best. Thanks team
Really appreciate this. Super cool to get to listen to the conversation and all the advice, and to hear the some of the same advice from another industry professional that Niko has brought up over the years. I hope there will be a follow-up video, because it'd be cool to hear more stories about Jude's experience in the industry. Sounds like there'd be at least a few neat stories! Cheers!
This dude was awesome. Not at all what I pictured a "typical" director or producer from California to be, to be fair I've never met a director or producer. He seemed so upbeat and down to earth and it was pretty cool to hear what the different job titles actually entail. Great video
I feel that. Dedication and passion in what you do.
This guy is really good at explaining this stuff! Thanks for the video!
More interviews like this would be great!
Hey guys. Just a quick one to say that this is brilliant. Informative, fun, expertly crafted! Corridor Crew are smashing it these days. Jude was awesome and I would've given an arm and a leg to have a resource like this for hints and tips when I started out in the industry. Those snippets of advice from a veteran producer are priceless! Would love to see Jude back again. My question to him would be what avenues did he explore to secure funding for his film and where did he start when raising funds for previous productions? Stay classy Corridor.
Congrats Jude and good luck!!
This should be a recurring segment called "Hey Jude" where all the question start that way. For example... "Hey Jude, What's your preferred method for establishing a shot?"
Very inspirational! Thx
Niko the wise: on gun handling
I saw the photos on Instagram of the set of urban Link, and we need to wait until September?! NOO! it looks like its going to be so kick ass! a whole month is such a long time!
Niko and Future Niko in the same room...
I'm pretty sure Doc Brown warned us about this kind of thing...
I love your guys videos they always know how to make me laugh
So Nico goes on to invent time travel in the future and comes back in time with a new identity and a bigger beard to teach and make projects with his younger self... that's cool.
Jude, thank you for taking time to hang out with the Corridor crew and answer questions. When you mentioned the process of producers coming on line first for a script, what about the script pitching process catches the producers attention the most? In your opinion, what makes or breaks a script pitch? Thank you again for your help and for Corridor hooking us up!
allseeingdragon006 I don't think you should "trust" this individuals "opinion" on what "makes or breaks a script pitch". As he said, he's controlled by the "elites" and the annoying group that gives you limitations on what you're trying to accomplish. Hollywood isn't dependable...believe me.
You should start by doing storyboards, as I believe they're more interesting and should get your the attention of your audience/demographic very easily. Scripts are outdated, imo, but if you feel that confident in dialogue and backgrounds scenes, try it.
Great vid! More help tips on scripting and pitching plz!!!! Y'all rock
I love when these videos are longer =)
Dude what Jude and Nico said was, despite being pretty much what industry people always say, pretty boosting in this time of my life.
Why does jude just look like what Niko 20 years in the future would look like 😂
Jude has won my heart!
He's awesome! Great personality, I can see why he's gotten so far in the business. I hope for nothing but the best for him and all of the corridor crew. I don't have, nor have any idea how to use itunes, as much I'd like to help out, so is it on vudu or fandango or anything like that? I'd love to see the film and I'd love to pay to do so haha
This is great!
THAT DUDE IS AWSOME!! Especially because of his OingoBoingo shirt!! Lol.
I know this question isnt directly for his position being a director and a producer but I'd really appreciate it if you could ask how a set photographer plays a role in a film. I have a deep passion for photography and a huge appreciation for the art of film making, especially those that incorporate practical effects, and im looking for a way to merge these two worlds. Insight from the man himself or even you guys at corridor would mean the world to me. Keep up the fantastic work on both channels, you guys are true inspirations to all aspiring content creators and artists.
Thanks Corridor! I want to be an actor, I mostly study theatre but in the end and actor is and actor no matter what field of entertainment.
This video really helps me out to figure out how exactly to get into the business of acting even though he is talking about directing he has sad similar things that I've heard from the millions of actors I've watched in panels and interviews. Thanks a whole bunch Corridor.
And if he has any advice for actors specifically, I am all ears.
Lucid Psycho I honestly don't think "acting" is that reliable. I mean, where is your final destination on this vague ambition? It's way too mainstream and it's all about being attractive to get any real attention thee days.
Don't rely on acting, be open-minded in the art world. Try to expand your horizons on the countless of other fields when it comes to storytelling or filmmaking. Being a "famous" actor is sort of a myth, but with years of dedication and luck, you might be able to make it in the acting world...just don't get your hopes too high.
VoidX Not trying to be famous. Just like acting.
Lucid Psycho No, I know that, but it’s the most common mistake in that career. I mean, acting could lead to voice acting and other means. Just trying to help, dude :)
VoidX Apologies, I interpreted your comment as a lot more negative. I want to do any type of acting. Stage, TV, Film and especially voice acting.
I honestly just really like doing it and have tons of doing so. Voice acting is something I've looked into for quite sometime and would love to do.
Lucid Psycho I wasn’t being “negative” in the least, just realistic, lol
Yes, I know what ya mean. The thing about voice acting, is that you have to do a ton of theater work and you don’t get paid well unless you’re lucky enough to be on an on-going series. But I’m sure if you’re willing to do anything with acting, then you’ll eventually make connections and be lucky to act in something worthwhile. I hope the best for you, dude!
really useful video!
Good Job on 1M SUB's!!
13:57 Excellent advice, and applicable in any profession
Hey guys! Love your work and I have been following you for quiet a while! Just watch out for the credits to the few short shots of the neistat vlog? I don't want to be too picky but I still think it's important right?
This was pretty awesome
Veteran!!! God when the notification about this video was up, I thought they were talking about animals on sets. Veterinarians.
But man those secrets Jude reveals are awesome, really motivates me.
Love the channel
You guys are awesome
Great video lads keep it up
At what age did you start working in the film industry?
Did you do a lot of commercial work before films, and if so how did you transition to working on films?
When working as a PA, do you have any advice to network with people and be seen as a hard worker at the same time?
Have you had trouble balancing your career and your personal relationships?
I have a lot more questions, but these are the first that come to mind. I'm currently going to college for film production and wish to create videos for a living.
11:17 I had a college professor, Pat Cronin, that said the exact same thing.
Now I need to see that expensive scene
In high school I started making small films but never really got anything good out there. They were all pretty cringe but it's pretty fun. We are hoping to make some good stuff so I'm glad to see this video
Jude seems like an awesome dude
So... the same bridge location as in Nerf Team Fortress, Portal Trick Shots, Photoreal and a few other stuff either here or on FreddieW's? Good thing you went location scouting.
Lot of good life lessons here that apply to many passions in life. This is not to overlook Jude's movie but I'm also interested in checking out that Sunny Korean movie he talked about :)
that`s kind of videos we want
Jude is such a cool dude !
13:56 is probably the most widely applicable life lesson that could be taken away from this video
My question would be: Who is "more in charge"? The director or the producer?
Tom Koopmann producer can tell the director what it can or cannot do because it's the person responsible for the budget and organization of everything including time. It is necesary to put limitations because the project is on a deadline.
Personally I would compare filming to a car. The director is the engine while the producer is the steering wheel. Without the engine, a car won't even start. Nothing will work. Similarly, a movie production without a director is absolutely unheard of because it requires a single person with a vision to push everyone towards that vision. Meanwhile, most modern steering wheels have a lot of functions, but its ultimate goal is to prevent a car from crashing. A producer might be involved in a lot of different aspects of a shoot but the producer's main goal is to make sure everything moves in harmony with the director while also making sure the director doesn't drive the shoot into the ground.
I love you guys I have been watching since 2013
I'm late to the party, but... this guy as eyes as clear as tropical water!
Btw how is Adrian's collarbone doing? Are you fine again?
MonkeyDeRuffy777 I’m healing quickly 👍 thx!
Glad to hear that!
i love your guys vidio keep it up
I watched that movie "Sunny". It was really good
I gotta know...what is that taco place that you guys went to?! I definitely want to visit it when I'm down in LA next
Partys Show TV ... but at the end of the road ... its hard work with your self.... !!! in any job!! so if you love your job and the people around it , you never get tired very much!
Question for Jude, what's the worst experience you had on a set? Whether it be crazy people, terrible weather, etc.
Interesting video thanks for having him on! I'll for sure check out his movie.
Rocking the oingo boingo shirt! Nice nice
Would love to hear stories about his shortest project and his longest project.
I always watched ya'll's channel and every time I saw your RED Epic Dragon, I would think to myself: "Dang, I would love to shoot on a RED. My films would be so much better if I had one of those!" Then I shot a short film (not for profit, just for fun) on a RED Scarlet, and I realized that, the Scarlet at least, was a lot of extra hassle to film and edit with than it was worth. I quickly realized that I don't need fancy cameras to make good content. I need good creators, not good equipment.
He seems like the coolest guy ever :D
I love his personality 💖
i wish i had the people around my area to do work like the corridor crew as well as the money to do so
Jude is Awesome!
you know what I've always wanted to ask a producer and/or director? If they think the 30fps is more cinematic rule holds up, and why they believe it adds/subtracts from the media genre.
Dear Jude,
What is your opinion on film school? I currently attend UNCSA for Production Design and love every second.
OMG this is so hard on the ears ... i love you guys and your video are awesome but this was a such a hard video to get through ....grrrrrrrrr
That guy is so cool !
So what Jude is very true about getting into theater or such. I join a theater group as tech because my sister where in it I was interested in the tech side of live shows and in movies and the instructor was looking for someone. Four theater productions later I am friends with the theater instructor and I find out he helps on movies and commercials alot apparently and he said to me "I can't make it to this PA position on this shoot. So I gave the Director your number and put in a good word for you." I got the call went and enjoyed the whole thing from the worst parts to the better ones.
Ring-a Ding Ding Boys! New video!
