"Why do truckers use rest stops"
To sleep..?
Ah, I remember when I was little and when I discovered rest stops existed I was like: "why this exist? All they doo is sitting driving all day, how are they tired?" Lol
Almost every country on Earth use rest stops to sleep and quit driving to gain energy and Malaysia is not left behind.
The reason is in the name of the place. REST area. Why do four wheeler use a rest area ? Trucks (most) have sleeping areas complete with HVAC, refrigerators, convection/microwave ovens and video entertainment including wi-fi. Many trucks have gen-sets or APUs to provide power for the hotel load without idling. Some rival the amenities found in rvs.
Although, it is a good idea for four-wheeler drivers to have a rest after long driving, so long they do not occupy a parking space for trucks in doing so.
In the uk we piss in 5 ltr water bottles on the move, which is what the cruise control was designed for. Live on roadkill bbq'd on the exhaust manifold and sleep once a month, if required 😎
No way to finding parking spot after 6pm in america
In Nigeria 🇳🇬 we call it Trailer park 👍
Here in New Zealand truck drivers drive five and a half hours, take a thirty minute break away from truck, drive for five and half hours, walk away from truck for eleven hours. That's basically auckland to wellington in the north island, picton to invercargill in the south island for anyone who knows New Zealand (nz). We don't have the big truck stops like America does, we do have pretty good places for truck drivers to fuel up, pee and tea stops and grab a bite to eat.
No wonder why so many American truck drivers fall asleep while driving.
8 hours driving with no break..

13 hours drive in Canada. Rest stops? You mean a highway exit for us?
A wide spot in the road in western Canada.
DOT rules. You have to have 10 hours off minimum.
It's called hours of service and there is a problem with parking.
This narrator is wrong. 14 hours on duty with 11 hours driving allowed within the 14 hours. After a 10 hour break, the 14 hours start again
Gives Western Express drivers a place to steal something !
Can you made video about all type of truck tires?
Made an planned 👍 Will come in a couple of weeks
✨
Indonesia hadir

Why is the sky blue?
No one knows
What annoys me about driving hour restrictions is that the driver is at fault if they go over their time due to traffic jams. I understand how it is their fault if the rest stop they planned to use is full, that would be a convenient excuse. But when they are stuck in traffic, the data on the tachograph can prove it
I get what you're saying, but that's isn't considered a valid reason.
If there's an accident, you can justify a fault by printing that journey, writing the motive (accident on road XX, at XX:XX).
The cops have common sense with such reasons. If not, fight the ticket. There are accepted exceptions for a fault.
By contrast, (most times) traffic can be avoided, as they follow a repetitive pattern of happening at the same hours. (not always)
Google maps helps with traffic, knowing which detour to take or if it's better to take an earlier break just to avoid a ticket.
to rest. duh
#1 reason... Lot Lizards!
Why do you enter your home
You forgot to mention the parasites that will steal your fuel while you are asleep. A bit safer in a truck stop.
Locking fuel caps work nicely.
@@lakesnake2005 Believe me they don’t work in the uk. I’ve had them and then woke up to find all my diesel gone.
@@lakesnake2005They don't. The thief will just drill your fuel tank.
Exit 300 on interstate 65 in Alabama is a dangerous one. People steal fuel there everyday
Good luck with finding parking space in germany after 6 pm
Or in the Netherlands after 4 p.m.
The task is impossible.
Or The UK
I tried to run at night and sleep and shower, etc during the day when there is less congestion at fuel stops. Less traffic at night as well.@@katokagome4670
its about eu rules and sleeptimes,. nothing else...
