Should be easy enough, you just need a Reservoir of sorts on one edge behind the frame foe the sand to fall into and just enough space between the glass and the backer board for the sand to fill into.

I'm sure you could adapt a picture frame the same as I have done. I'd happily sell you one but the cost of postage and export duty plus the glass breaking it would make better sense to make your own.

I would think the 'chosen' card is forced using whatever method you're proficient with.
