You have an interesting V-shape cut-out at the top of the card. The original cut-out on Bicycle Playing Cards is U-shaped. 😉

Is this your trick to reveal?

What about changing it around: Integrating the real door into the pack and covering it up with the erasable door? That way you wouldn't need to force a card, because the door would always show the actual upper card inside? Just a thought.

Its another take on the wand with 4 pom pom balls on it. I love that trick. It works exactly the same but has an eyelet on each rope attached to a magnet that connects the eyelets in the center. I have seen that one many times but this is a unique take on the same trick

You do realise the more you ummm PROVE that something is solid the more people are realising that is where the gimmick is

It seems it could be made so that the glass is inserted/removed from the long edge but still slides vertically. I'm not sure if that would be more or less convincing.

If you remember the original, 2 playing cards were put on the glass behind some trim and a pencil would be pushed through the 2 playing cards and the glass. While you were removing the cards you would slide the glass back into position.

Great, I had that trick, over 50 years ago. pencil or silk through glass.

I reckon that instead of the BBQ stick, you could place a piece of metal in the frame and, in the base have two magnets, one on each side and placed one above the other. As you slide the frame down to the bottom, the bottom magnet pulls the metal pin out. When you pull the frame up, the other magnet pulls the pin back into position to lock the glass.
