Their colors are so beautiful, simply stunning! 😍
Could you keep a smaller species of severum with geophagus red head tapajo’s?
yes they do well as long as the tank is large enough (125 gallon or larger) and there are several of each species!
This is the reason I like you Malik. You make sure we're educated on the proper care of the fish that you bring to us! Congratulations to William for getting these amazing fish! Thank you for sharing! God bless and I hope you have a wonderful day!🙏🌿🐟🌱
😊🧡
thanks Mary! have a wonderful day! God Bless You!
Very nice video, everything very well explained, beautiful colors of your Geophargus Tapajos. Thanks!!
thank you so much Eues!
Great video bro! I have 5 red heads in my 180 with my oscars, severums, bala shark, and green terror (tank boss) ...one of the calmest community tanks ive ever kept! Outside of my 2 oscars constantly bickering with eachother , everyone gets along perfectly and no one bothers my geos. Absolutely LOVE watching my geo's thrive they are so awesome and fun to watch!
You are very well spoken! Im getting a group of 5 for my 120 gallon along with a smaller species of angels and maybe some cory cats, im very excited! Thanks brother!
That is awesome! looking forward to updates! cheers!
Thanks Malik I'm very excited about getting these fish
hey William, looking forward to updates and spawns ! cheers!
God bless you
Thanks for the very in-depth information. I love your videos for the very thorough and beneficial explanations that you give. Bigups to you bruh, you are a bright spot in this hobbyist community 💯
Jesus ! 3 for £30 in the UK lol
Beautiful fish. Great information. Thanks
Thank you so much! cheers!
Very nice fish...I have just one and he lives with a frontosa...they do great together.
I was actually thinking of cohabiting geophagus with bolivian rams, but I dont know about tapajos because I think they like it quite a bit hotter than the rams
What about a planted tank with neons , will they eat everything including the fish and plants?
Clean cool looking tanks
Much appreciated
I love those geophagus!!!!! I’ve wanted some for a long time... will have to get some one day... my 55g has discus and my 125 has Altum angels.
Or maybe just get another 125G 😁🤩
well I always say yes to more tanks! lol but they can actully live with both altums and discus and get pushed around by both altums and discus ! in that regard these guys are peaceful!
the only thing i would say is a single male will be aggressive towards the discus and angles and even other fish, but in a group they get pushed around by the discus and angels! the group really reduces aggression and makes them super chill!
Great profile video Malik. 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍 Mark! cheers mate!
Great job..
thanks Terrence!!
Good informative video.
Thank you 🍻
They look pretty cool😍.. and good info😊
thank you ! glad you enjoyed it! cheers mate!
Nice video brother... as always;)
Thanks Bro! God Bless!
Very informative.
well done video
They’re so colourful! I got mine when they were about a year and they still had no colour. Now after 6 months they have a little colour but still not much
give them good colour enhancing food to improve the health and vigor of the fish! also the more comfortable and happy the fish are the brighter the coloures! these guys are always spawning so its a big factor to seeing good colour too! if they aren't spawning the fish aren't as turned on!
Try frozen fish food or replashy.
Will plecos breed with geos being on top of them? I am planning to put some geos in my group of zebras
But....my 3.5 inch Chinese crown pearlscale goldfish starts at 70 US dollars. So fancy goldfish must be quite expensive. A Thai oranda is more than 150 each and so are the ranchus. I didn’t realize until I compare them to tropical.
yes there are some really expensive gold fish as well! I'll make a goldfish care guide soon! cheers!
Where did you get that hollow hide out ?
Can you tell which is this sand type?
nice fish.how long did it take to grow these out/thxs
about 18 months give or take!
Could you keep a single one of these fish with other types of chiclid like a acara or jack Dempsey, fire mouth. So basically a chiclid community but just one of its own kind?
yes should be fine as long as the tank is big enough for the fish
I have a 90g. Pool filter sand substrate. FX6 and Eheim Pro 3 g160 filtration. I’ve been with African Cichlids for many years, I’m looking to switch with South Americans. Looking at 6-7 Geo. Tapajos, 3 Severums, a pair of Acaras, and some tetras and barbs. Also my water in my house runs of a water softener. What water parameters are best, ph, kh, gh, temp? And is my number of fish good or is too much or can I add more geo’s?
maybe a few larger fish might be better imo.. as for water anywhere below 7.5 ph shold be good and 7ph ideally.. kh of about 2 to4 kh and temprature around80F
@@AquaMalik I thought about getting a solo Oscar. But the wife likes a fuller more active tank.
Hey would they leave giant vallis plants alone, my tank has giant vallis but are they likely to dig them up?
it depends .. if the pnats are already established it works ok like in my tank here but they are diggers by nature!
what type food you feed
a verity of foods ! please refer to my feeding videos on the channel! cheers!
My red head tapajos loves to school with my adolphoi cories…….
Awesome 💯
Do you know where I can get female geophagus
