Pets are precious souls. They love us, they teach us, they learn from us and they help us in so many ways. The lessons are sometimes negative and sometimes positive but they are all gifts. Enjoy her while you can. When she's gone you may not find the "selfishness" you referred to quite as fulfilling as her unconditional love. Thanks for all the videos. I appreciate learning from the two of you.
Home is where happiness is, no matter whether in a house or a van
we couldn't agree more!
van life is very challenging as it is...having a pet just adds to the workload. i'd say have a pet if you're alone but not so much if you're a couple...it's a cute dog though!
I will agree with that! It does add to the workload! She is a cutie pie!!
Nice to see a "real" day in a van for a change. Thanks for this. It gives a feel of reality. One can easily feel tiny space, cold, dirt from the pet and generally "lack of comfort".
Thank you! We try to keep things as accurate as possible. It can definitely be small, dirty, and wet, but those are small trade offs for us! Take care!
Can't imagine life without a pet in or out of a van. We have begun out van build. Have insulation and walls, and flooring left to do. Won't be full time for a while but my wife has wanted this for so long and she will be starting a business with the use of the van to travel. Gotta love a rainy day!
That’s awesome!! Yeah we can’t either. Ours is 13 and can’t imagine it without her. Vanlife with a pet is a little different but they bring so much joy that it’s well worth it! Good luck with your build!
@@NomadicVisuals Thank you! Our dog is a big girl and it's gonna be an effort to keep our floors clean, but that's okay with us. We're used to that and it's not a house to clean, just a van, right? Haha!Your dog is as cute as can be and I hope you have many more years with her or him? Take good care!
@@ceeceety2320 haha yeah it will be a task for sure! It will be like having another person in there. We can at least pick ours up and throw her on the bed to get her out of the way. Cleaning a van is way easier than a house for sure!! Ours is a her, thank you! You take care too!
If I ever moved to vanlife, which I’m planning to do in the future, I’m to young currently I’m definitely bring a pet, my cat or her soon to be kittens who will be older by then!
sounds like a good time!
i like your van build...somewhat stealthy, fixed bed, pull out table for two, restroom behind the driver's seat, swivel seat etc. happy journey...from India!!
Thanks we really appreciate it! ALOT of time went into our build haha!
I would want to do this but only if I have a buddy with me I would be really scared about the safety aspect! I wouldn't be able to sleep by myself either. But your dog is adorable! I just found your channel and I subscribed! ❤
Thanks Lauren! welcome to the channel!
We just did 82 days on the road.. we measured the floor space that is actually available - 23.7 square feet. you know not the space under the counter, under the toilet, under the bed (only accessible from the back).
I wouldn't trade it in.
Haha agreed! We haven’t actually measure the usable/walkable square footage but that sounds about right.
As a Korean, it's so surprising and funny to see so many van lifers who eat kimchi. lol.
Haha why??
I’m like u. I’ll take my Lacy everywhere I go until her time with me is up. I don’t think I’ll get another. I’ve had her for 17 years so I know it will b like losing a limb when I lose her.
Totally understand that! Gabby will be 13 in September and last year we had to put our other dog down and he was 14. I’ve had both of them since they were puppies. It is definitely like loosing a limb!! 😭😭
@@NomadicVisuals so sorry. I dread the day. My Lacy is so healthy-eyes and hearing fading-and sounds like yours is too. Good luck for many more loving years!
@@Laura1221 thanks! Same to you too!!
Does your power last you long ?
Probabaly about a week and a half if we aren’t using things that draw a lot of power (espresso machine or running both fans wide open), but it’s usually not cloudy for that long so we can charge up quick w our solar, or by driving. The only time it’s been an issue is when we were stuck in a heatwave for a week and were parked in the shade. Our refrigerator and fans were constantly running and we would have to move the van into the sun to use the espresso machine haha. Can’t go w out the coffee!
No pets in van
No shedding pets in van lol
