Couple of quick tips; portable solar panel suitcase works wonders, especially for PNW. Also small cheap orange cones are a nice way to let fellow campers know a site is occupied. Vanlife has it’s own sets of challenges, but so worth the effort! Enjoy!!
Good tips! Thank you! It is definitely worth the effort!!
I watched another van build where they added AC. That would be a priority for me.
Yeah an AC would definitely be nice!!! We recently saw that they’ve come out with one that mounts underneath the van which would be nice too!
Ac is wonderful I watched the video cheap rv living done were he ran a 5000 but air conditioner with a sportsman 1000 generator which ran a long time pretty durable for the bucks $200 dollar generator $250 soft start 5000 btu air conditione that's the most inexpensive way to go it takes at least 2500 dollars worth of solar and batteries to operate that same 5000 btu air conditioner at night but it is quiet (which is what you want when boon docking are if you are around others ) and then run generator in daytime while your solar recharges your batteries..
@@rickeydenler2385 I’ll have to look into that!!

Nice ! If you have to stay put......you found a nice spot for afternoon swims.
Yes we did!!! We do enjoy those swims once we get used to that COLD water haha!
that's one of our favorite spots! @LindseyandDannyVanlife
I don’t recall where you hail from, but I’m in NC. I have already run 4 AWG wire to the rear fan area in case I need to add a 12V roof AC unit in the future. I have the double MaxxAir fans too. I began my experience with them 12 years ago in travel trailer, and I have never been anything but impressed with them, including their customer service!! When I’ve called, someone who speaks English as their primary language who knows the product line answered the phone. There are very few companies I can say that about.
We are from NC too. Pretty sure we were in Washington for this video though. We’ve really love our maxxair fans too. Life savers!
You guys need to get a little trailer hitch, a lock box, and a small generator to recharge your batteries when solar isn't cutting it.
Yeah that would be ideal!
Kansas has been going thru a horrible heat wave, all summer has been 105° with 10° heat index
OMG that sounds awful! I don’t know how you do it
Keep up your good work guys!!!
Thank you! We really appreciate the encouragement!
We had similar temps here for the first time ever and we were melting. I feel for you guys. Still, you got your coffee hit and no lost wallet this week ….. which is a bonus 😂
Haha yeah glad temps are going down!! There’s always next week Judd 🤣
Great episode. Is your fridge keeping up with the high temps? Ben dunking his face in the river was very funny. Great camera placement.
Thanks! Yeah it is keeping up. It has settings from 0-7 and usually we keep it on 3 and we did turn it up to 5 while here and everything is still cold and frozen! Fridge is definitely an investment we do not regret!
..no generator to top off the battery? Seems awful important...I NEED my coffee!!
No we don’t have a generator. This was the only time we’ve got close to running out of power and the amount of stuff and storage with a generator we don’t think it’s worth it when storage is a precious item in a van
H means Hell. I like the hair BTW!
Hahaha definitely means hell. Thanks buddy!
Funny way to fish
Hahahaha
Would adding a fine mesh across the windows help stop dust etc coming through? Won't help with noise but at least keeps the breeze coming through.
Not sure! We weren’t really close to anywhere to purchase. The grocery store was about 30 mins away. We will have to keep that in mind the next. Hopefully there won’t be a next time though haha
Duel ceiling fans not helping? Are they maxxair fans?
Oh yeah they definitely helped keep the van cooled off because they create a nice breeze. Yes they are both maxxair fans
Ben , you got to rename Jelaine on your phone to wifey , honey , baby or something cute man. lol . other than that great watching your adventures
Lol you should see what she has me in her phone
Removable solar pannels
Removable stove
Yeah both of those would have definitely come in handy!!
Spray bottle of plain water.
Yeah that would have been nice, didn’t even think about it!
