- We count small numbers (up to 4 or so) differently than we do large ones: one we can do accurately and near-instantly ("subitizing"), while the other involves some estimation. But are they different processes inside our brain? Or is counting simply inefficient at larger scales?

We owe so much brain science to generous epileptic patients.
Seriously. I can't imagine how stressful that kind of procedure must be, so it's incredible that patients going through it are willing to help scientists along the way
I'm always shocked when I'm reminded of your sub count. You truly have interesting content.
Oh jeez, thanks! Maybe that means you've gotten in on the ground floor!
