Absolutely love pillow talk!!! One of my ultimate favorites of all time!!! Love Doris day and rock Hudson!! Perfect together on screen!!! Love the song!!! I grew up watching these classics ❤!!!
OK, let’s just say it out loud for those kids today: “Pillow Talk” is the grandmother of all romantic comedies, and 60 plus years later, it still ranks as one of the very best of all time.
@@Q.Gold30 AGREE! I miss that New York. It glittered like a necklace. So do the zingers parried by Rock Hudson and Doris Day in their first pairing, but by an incredible supporting team of American treasures includingThelma Ritter and the Great Tony Randall! "When are you headed back to the ranch, Tex?"
This movie is so shallow but so wonderfully funny at the same time. I love the following scene, when he is telling his lies to her, faking to be the guy from Texas and the lady at the piano is corresponding to that in singing: you're lying, you hound and you'll be sorry....". (Btw: I love Jonathan, the diner scene with him hitting her...so hillarious)
My cousin, Elsa Doran, wrote this song! She's gone now and I miss her - as a teenager, I used to record demos of some of her songs (not this one) that she would take to record companies. She always had confidence in my singing and gave me the confidence to try and pursue a singing career. I made one record, "I'll Get You Yet" but it didn't go anywhere.
LOVE IT! Thank you for posting! You Are My Inspiration.......Nicole! LOL This song is a treasure, as is this wonderful movie, the first of 3 brilliant Romantic Comedies from Universal pairing Doris Day and Rock Hudson
Uplifttherace Perri Blackwell is your cousin? That's awesome! I thought she added such life to this scene and was disappointed that I couldn't find much information on her. She is beautiful here!
It is with extreme sadness that I'm sharing with you that Ms. Perry Blackwell passed away on January 16, 2024. I confirmed this with 2 of her famiy members. I extend my deepest sympathy to her family and to all of you fans of hers. She's the one playing the organ and is the lead singer in this video. (Chase)
Not at all! I'm way older than 18 but this was made several years before I was born and I love it. A good story is a good story, regardless of when it was filmed.
Can’t get enough of Doris Day! Irrelevant comment: Rock doesn’t seem very musical in this scene, though that is his profession in the movie. Just an observation from a musician :)

No, not just one of the very best Rom-Coms of all time, but *THE VERY BEST* Rom-Com of all time!
Wow! I found it after all these years😊 I used to watch this with my Grandma ❤
This is why Doris Day was so big during the 50s and early 60s. She was terrific and made each movie fun to watch!

RIP Doris and Rock, I'm sure you are having a laugh and a song after all of these years.
Rock was gorgeous and Doris was a treasure. ♥
They were friends for life and had such great chemistry on screen and off screen.
They spent most of the time laughing on set. Great buddies.
This is true
Hey, that's why chicks love having a best gay friend, right? 😉😊
Yes
I'm not sure how good of friends they were. She said she never knew he was gay until he announced he had AIDS.
They were not really friends.

It’s really only shallow if you take it at face value.
They are so beautiful together!
RIP Doris Day...Pillow Talk and Calamity Jane were my favorites.
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), a great movie of her's also.
RIP Doris Day! Love Pillow Talk. Roly Poly is my favorite scene. Thanks for posting DorisDayFanatic!

I think our Doris is at her sexiest in this film, I guess we have to give thanks to Jean Louis....
MerleOberon I give that honor to Young at Heart, sexy as she is here too.

Essa pianista era a Nina Simone
Huh??? It's still out of sync.
I’ve always loved Doris Day. But I have always cringed at this song! 😎
A very racist scene that would never be allowed today.
Day looked way too old to be teamed with Hudson.
