Every year we watch this movie and never have I once got tired of it. XD Sad that no one knows what this movie is anymore. This has to be one of the best Christmas movies of all time.
I watched it last summer. I just loved the ending so much. Also when it finally started to snow. I mostly prefer movies from the 50s over today. Love them more when Marylin is in it. Her shy roles are so spectacular. Loved her in that movie with the two guys dressing up as gals. I don't think it was Gentlemen prefer it Blonde. Maybe it was Some like it Hot?
“White Christmas” is a great movie, and this ending is wonderful. This one, along with “A Christmas Carol” with George C. Scott are watched every year at Christmas time.
When I saw this movie for the first time I didn't know who Vera-Ellen was. Now I watch all her various performances through the 40's and 50's here on CZcams and marvel at her dancing ability. Over-the-top talented lady.
@@AnthonyStJames VistaVision was when the film moves horizontally across the projector lens--just like Imax, putting a large image on screen without it being compressed. It was clearer this way.
A Wonderful Life, White Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street(1947) are my favorite Christmas movies of all time. I love the older movies. They all had a wonderful story, great actors and awesome music. I don’t think we will ever have a better time like it was back then.
My mom told me that this was her moms favourite Christmas movie and her mom died April 21 1994 exactly 6 months after I was born so every year she and I would watch it it makes me feel closer to my mom and my grandma Wilken
I forced My kids to watch this years ago, and now every Christmas they ask to watch it together. They are now 17 and 20 and it is a part of our traditions. Such a beautiful movie.
My dad is not a big movie guy, but this is one movie he likes to watch at least once a year. Once I got old enough to understand the story it became one of my favorite Christmas movies and I've always liked Danny Kaye.
Love the ending feels good sounds good touches your heart makes you tear up Every Christmas I have to have this movie One of the best Christmas Movie Ever Is only one other movie touches my heart like this one and It is Mickey Rooney Movie "It came Upon a Midnight Clear " Movies are made but there are those Like this one that touches so many
I love watching this movie and I served in the Army in 1974-1978 and I also served in the Army National Guard and also served in the Air National Guard
This is JMO the most beautiful and happy ending to any Christmas movie I've ever seen. I started watching this movie when I was young, then it continued on with my children. We would always put up the Christmas tree while watching it. They were tots then and now their in their middle 40's. And now they watch it with my grand children. This classic will live on forever.
Yes Ursula, I too love this wonderful 1954 White Christmas movie, My #1 favorite!! #2 Favorite is: The black and white Verson,1947 original "Miracle on 34th Street" is my second favorite; John Payne, Maureen O'Hara, and Natalie Wood, as a child in this movie!!❤❤
It is, no doubt, my very favorite Christmas movie, which I have been watching with my loved ones for the past 20 something years on Christmas Eve. I own the DVD and the ending is different than the one shown here by means that it SNOWS when the back doors open and Bing says "Merry Christmas". That's why people are saying "ahhh" when those doors open, because people were hoping for snow for Christmas. I don't understand why there are 2 different endings, one with snow (on DVD) and another one without snow...
Thank you for this beautiful video of white Christmas lve watched this movie every year for the last 40 plus years and it never gets old every year there is something new I find in it thank you Bing Crosby rosemary Danny and Vera God bless you all
I remember being a kid and feeling wonder every time I watched this. And frustration that hearing this particular song was only once a year before I found this here and my frustrations disappeared. The wonder is still there - especially thanks to the amazing outfits in this scene. The red-and-white Santa-like outfits with the shiny red snowflakes on them, the red and white dresses of the four ballerina-type children in the number... they all work together well. Always loved this... especially 'Wait a minute, I'll join ya.'
This Is One Of The Christmas Tradition Movies My Family Watches Every Christmas, We Love This Movie, It Never Gets Old, I Always Love The Ending, It's Just Beautiful, Such A Great Classic 🤶🎅🎄🦌⛄
I adore White Christmas. It's among the definitive holiday staples at our house. But I prefer Holiday Inn to it. A more intimate movie musical on the whole. Others in our line-up, the original Miracle on 34th Street, the British version of A Christmas Carol, The Bells of St. Mary's, Meet Me In St. Louis, It's a Wonderful Life, Auntie Mame, While You Were Sleeping, Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation. Somewhere in that roster, we usually find time to squeeze in some other 'feel goods' like Moonstruck, The Holly and the Ivy, Christmas in Connecticut, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Old Acquaintance, and, on Christmas Day we usually watch the TV concert, A Carnegie Hall Christmas with Frederica Von Stade and Kathleen Battle. Ho-ho-ho, and Merry Christmas to all!
I've always considered The Sound of Music more of a 'summer movie' because of its lush Austrian settings. I know it gets played during the Christmas holidays, but I tend to screen it on my home theater somewhere around July and August, along with movies like Summer Holiday, Summer Stock, The Long Hot Summer, Oklahoma!, Hello Dolly!, and, to cap everything off, a screening of Picnic on Labor Day.
@@nickzegarac429 I’ve watched it twice around the summer time myself. I do get where you’re coming from with it. From theatergoing experience, I say Hello Dolly and Oklahoma can be seen any time of the year too.
Looks like you just made it political by suggesting that this movie doesn't involve politics. Feels to me as though you're flaunting your privilege by making that suggestion. Sounds like you spend a lot of time offending people, though. I wish you a better 2021.
@@LynneSanchezFries What separates good art from political propaganda is that one tries to be thoughtful and unique whereas the other is just presenting an agenda to the masses that never asked for it and only weirdos on Twitter care about that shit.
I've always thought that this dining room would've gotten pretty darn cold as soon as the backstage doors were pulled open to show off the falling snow.
It's about time somebody put a copy of this wonderful finale in english on youtube, I got tired of seeing this every year in another language. Merry Christmas 🎄
2:04 LOL I love how Bing Crosby tosses his gift into the tree. You can hear something break! Whether it was the gift or a tree decoration, we'll never know.
The men were a lot older than the women. Bing was the oldest at 51, Danny was 43, Vera was 33 & Rosemary was 26. Bing is Rosemary's love interest & he was 25 yrs older than her. Danny was 10 yrs older than Vera. Of course it's just a movie so age doesn't matter.
By far the best Christmas movie, but those girls at the end clearly have little to no ballet training. They don’t spot their turns, their arms are very bent, and their feet are dangerously pulled back in their pointe shoes. That is very dangerous, and the shoes look very narrow for them. That can cause injuries
There's no snow to speak of in London Ontario! I sincerely hope my friend "Sue" is watching this movie, for around this time of the year (and when she watches it), we get SNOW! Having the white stuff around, makes it feel more like the festive season. Yes, this is a classic and for some, it brings in the holiday cheer (in a special way). May each and everyone of you, have a splendid Christmas or what ever holiday you celebrate, around this time of the year!
I've never understood how anyone sitting at the General's table- especially his side of the table- could see around that cake! You'd think they would have moved it for the show at least.
@Nina Hagen I hate to inform you of this, but Santa Claus is heavily based off of St. Nicholas, a Christian saint and bishop. Please forgive me for bursting your bubble.
Those are still some of the most beautiful Christmas costumes I’ve ever seen.
I want Vera’s dress so bad!!
The final scene of this movie makes me have tears streaming down my eyes. We need to bring these time back. Greatest movie ever made.
I have the same reaction when I watch the finale! It is definitely bittersweet.
Yes, it is so heartbreaking what society has become.
Makes me cry too...and also at the beginning where Bing is singing White Christmas for the soldiers. That really gets my tears flowing.
"Whie Christmas" is a timeless classic. Danny Kaye is one of my favorite comedians. He could do it all. Such fun watching this movie.
Every year we watch this movie and never have I once got tired of it. XD Sad that no one knows what this movie is anymore. This has to be one of the best Christmas movies of all time.
Same here, I watch it every year and never get tired of it. For me, it is the best Christmas movie of all times.
Thoughtspector it’s never Christmas without this legendary movie
The best Christmas movie ever. I have not seen this on TV in years, have it on DVD.
I watched it last summer. I just loved the ending so much. Also when it finally started to snow.

This movie has made it to my Top 3 Christmas films ever. It holds up better than even some Christmas movies made many years later.
I watched it every year with my WW2 Dad. Now he is gone I listen to this in his memory.
im sorry:(
Those were the golden years. Period. Nothing like those memories
Rip 🙏🏾 🪦 😌
Rip to your dad.
Sorry for your loss; but nice movie memories...
The best scene from any Christmas movie ever ...
Truly one of the best musicals ever made
rw:i agree.
Especially for the holidays.
I grow up watching that movie it has a good massage there telling about what is Christmas is all about.
“White Christmas” is a great movie, and this ending is wonderful. This one, along with “A Christmas Carol” with George C. Scott are watched every year at Christmas time.
Yes! I totally agree.
What a fabulous ENDING TO ONE OF THE GREATEST MOVIES EVER MADE !!
THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE !!!!!
Beautiful ending but I always laugh at
“”I’m going to be very busy”
“Wait a minute I’ll join ya”
When I saw this movie for the first time I didn't know who Vera-Ellen was. Now I watch all her various performances through the 40's and 50's here on CZcams and marvel at her dancing ability. Over-the-top talented lady.
Best Christmas movie ever!!! The cast is great!!! Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen are the best!!!!
So beautiful...breath taking...now that's Christmas...good memories...
This actually looks high quality especially for 1954
Says at very beginning of the movie that they used a process called "Vista Vision."
@@AnthonyStJames VistaVision was when the film moves horizontally across the projector lens--just like Imax, putting a large image on screen without it being compressed. It was clearer this way.

Вы совершенно правы ! Я тоже так думаю .
Jimmy Stewart reminds me a lot of my grandpa. Along with James Cromwell. 😃
Every Christmas my parents, my brothers and I would sing along to the finale White Christmas! Great memories of a time gone by!
I love watching this movie
This ending and It’s a Wonderful Life’s ending both made me cry happy tears

A beautiful ending to an equally wonderful classic. Merry early Christmas to one and all
This is the most beautifully epic Christmas movie scene ever!
C’mon Bing. You can’t hold that figurine and kiss Rosemary at the same time? You really have to fling it into the tree? LOL
RIP Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen and Rosemary Clooney.
Every time I watch this movie I think of my mom and dad
Literally the only Christmas-y part of the movie 😂 love it though

Sappy, sentimental nonsense - and I LOVE every moment of it!

Notice the fade cut. It's very likely either or because of that. If not they wouldn't have done that.
Family Tradition to watch this movie every Christmas. We live in Florida.
I love at 2:05 when he drops the present she gave him in the tree. Lol
Hollywood at its glamorous best.🎉❤😊
One of the best classic Christmas movies ever

Their voices are just so perfect. Wonderful actors and singers
Takes me back to a WONDERFUL time in the U.S., when life seemed normal and good... :o)
Joanne A As much as I am proud to have been born in the 90's, I sometimes wish to see what the 50's were like before my parents were born.
You mean when women's place were always in the kitchen?
Beautiful Christmas movie-- Sparkling ✨️✨️

Bing Crosby is so handsome!!!
Lulu Martin Do u think Danny Kaye was handsome too? They both weren't bad looking. They both were good singers.
I wonder if the little girls were classically trained, they were good at getting over the box but their shoes needed to be broken in
Don't think there were, one of the girls was all over the place no balance

Such a beautiful scene. When we still Believed in GOD and in America.
GOD Bless us all.
jwmcmac the hell does this scene have to do with God?
Blessed be from someone who follows a much older path.. but it's about a white Christmas, about home, about celebrating togetherness in adversity.
