Before his performance on April 4, 2010 in Antwerp (Belgium), Leonard learned that the Belgian singer Yasmine, who had recently made an album with translated Cohen songs had committed suicide after several set-backs. Yasmine was openly and outspoken of the Lesbian persuasion which cost her a lucrative sponsorshipdeal with a large shoeconglomerate. She then began working for the Flemish TV and was known for doing things her own way - to the chagrin of many upper level bosses. But still, she was a beautiful and charismatic young woman - Chris Isaak once composed a song live in her presence describing her, so enthralled was he by her personality. But still, her romantic life suffered some heavy blows and she decided to end it all in the week Leanard came to Antwerp. Leonard sang a tribute to her with "Bird on a Wire" and "There Ain't No Cure for Love," thereby perfectly capturing what Yasmine stood for. I was there that night and was moved to tears. A beautiful, heart-rendering tribute from the master of words. Yasmine can rest easy now...
Yasmine will be thrown into a lake of fire someday for the sin of unabashed sexual immorality.

@@rudolftrost3534 The Bible is very clear that those who are sexually immoral will be cast into the lake of fire. Jesus even goes so far as to say that if a man lusts after a woman, then he has committed sexual immorality in his heart. Surely homosexuality is worse than that. Jesus spoke very highly of the law, and the law condemns homosexuality as a sin worthy of death.

Cohen means "priest" from old hebrew, and he, Leonard, was really the greatest priest of that old religion called love.
