      Stephen A. Smith here is some reason of why Jesus (AS) is not God. 1:He was borned (God can’t be born) 2. He was in his mom stomach for 9 months (that means God didnt exist for 9 months how is that Even possible? God not existing?) 3: he used to drink, eat and pray (God does neither of them) why would God pray to someone beacuse he isnt the god he praying to someone higher than him. 4; when ppl asked him about the hour he said God knows. Which means he isnt the god and Islam is true and that he was only a messenger sent by god. (:

    The track is all about putting power to the ground. The Vaporflys just can’t transmit the kind of power you are putting out on the track especially in the shorter distances.
    I am curious about the new Nike VIPERFLY shoes. A track shoe with cushion sounds too good to be true.

      Exactly! Really want to get my hands on a pair of Viperflys

    • @Anon.G

      Cushion will never return more energy than it absorbs. No matter what the cushion takes out some energy

    • @LearningFast
      @LearningFast Před 4 lety +27

      Anon yes you can never get 100% efficiency or probably even 90%+ efficiency. However, typical track spikes are probably much less efficient at returning energy. Now they also allow you apply more force so it is a give and take.
      It will be really interesting to see if these Viperfly shoes do work well. It could be a game changer if you can get a significant energy return and still put your full power to the ground. This could even put Bolt’s records at jeopardy if it is for real.

    • @Anon.G
      @Anon.G Před 4 lety +9

      @@LearningFast track spikes don't lose any energy though. A pebax or boost cushioned shoe is at about 65 percent energy return, and a cushionless spike is closer to 90%

    • @LearningFast
      @LearningFast Před 4 lety +7

      Anon the shoe with the cushion can store downward energy that would otherwise be wasted. The rigid spike shoe doesn’t store any of that energy.
      I am not saying the Viperflys will automatically be the better shoe. However, it is possible that the Viperfly shoes store a significant portion of the downward energy and release it in combination with the energy generated by the runners legs. In that case the Viperflys could be less efficient in transmitting the power from the runners legs but still return more total energy because of the stored downward energy that would otherwise be wasted.

    Nick, I’ve been waiting for this video for a while because I have been wanting to test this out myself. I’m a decent high school runner with some vic 3s and 4%s wanting to go sub 9 in the two mile. And even after the video I’m still unsure about what you were saying. It seems like yes you want to be running on your toes more but I feel like it’s going to hurt you when you run out of energy and form starts to falter. Your 400, yes a little slower in the next%s, looked a lot smoother and you can tell you weren’t as tired. With that in mind don’t you feel like it would be easier to maintain a 67 second pace with the added heel support throughout the race? I’m not looking for big sprinting moves I’m looking for a smooth comfortable pace.

    Hey Nick! great video! It's pretty hard to get a hold of the vaporfly's right now bc its virtually sold out everywhere in my size! Wondering if you know when Nike will start sending out new shipments to retailers? I figured they were waiting on the ruling by the running governing bodies. Anyway, thanks in advance! E

    I own the proto blue Vaporfly 2’s, and they perform very well in mid-distance track events, after using spikes and not seeing a ton of improvement in the 800, I started using vapors, and they got my time down by 10 seconds in only a few days. Sometimes it is the person who uses it, not the shoe itself.

    Nike have already made a "response" to this video with their new Viperfly spikes, who would consider running a track race in road shoes anyway. It would be more interesting to see a 5k road run in the Vaporflys. This video seemed like preaching to the choir.

    Hey Nick, you didn’t put your two cents in for how the vaporfly’s would hold up on the track for a 10k or 5k. What do you think?

    • @fortyoneshades
      @fortyoneshades Před 4 lety +3

      If you wear spikes in the 5K or 10K on a track you are just asking for an injury. Vaperflys all the way. For the 1500 down, of course spikes. 3000 it's personal preference. I'm an endurance runner. I have no kick so kicking isn't important to me. I put enough distance between myself and the competition early so I don't have to rely on a kick.
