I waited a bit to long and missed picking up this one in carbon fiber from BHQ. Missing that particular opportunity soon left me still wanting a nice (somewhat premium) Vox designed knife. Something in cf that would nicely complement my other BHQ exclusive, the CRKT (cf) Pilar in s35vn. I looked closely at Giant Mouse. But eventually picked up the MKM (cf) Timavo - also by Voxnaes. My ideal edc size is right around a Benchmade Bugout size knife. The Timavo comes in real close to that ideal dimension. Also liked the slim, sweeping lines of the Timavo vs the wider blade shape on the GM that you used as a comparison knife in your video. Nevertheless very detailed and well done review. Also nice to get a number of different and honest CZcams review perspectives. Thanks for posting!

Thank you Ben. I appreciate your input. 🙏. I follow you on insta I’ll look for the MKM, I have yet to handle one but would love to know your thoughts.

Ordinary Average Guy. Thanks! Unfortunately I did end up selling the knife after more then a week. The biggest con to the MKM Timavo was (surprisingly) the poor ergos. The CF scales themselves had a very hard angle across the entire edge of the handle. Worst of all was at the back end of the handle itself, where the scales came to a somewhat sharp angle vs rounded off (for example like the Pilar). Creating a hot spot each time I swung the blade closed. Jimping on the edge of the liner lock was also a bit too corse. Seemed unnecessary. However, the blade itself and the overall design was quite striking. No doubt about it. But in the end it just needed one more pass through the QA/QC department to refine the overall feel in the hand.
