Lyrics:
Resplendence, as servants we are hidden in distress
In silence we glare, in light, ablaze
Embraced, aligned in pitch-black mass we rot
And drown into time and space
And we are crawling from abyss, In a sudden flash widespread
Through time and space, as a stream of grace
When we have fallen, down into the void
Esteem the fading, our inner mourning flame
In obedience, in damnation we are damned to obsess
In reticence we shine, in glitter, sparkling bright
Sustained, forgotten, as shivered souls we spoil
And drown into time and space
In a moment of disguise, we descry sombrous rebirth
In a stream of grace descend, as clandestine stars
When we have fallen, dawn beyond all grief
Withstand the burden, we promise our last farewell
Solo: L. Klausenitzer / R. Trujillo
Embraced, aligned in pitch-black mass widespread
Extolled our remains, as clandestine stars we rot
Music by Rafael Trujillo, Sebastian Lanser & Linus Klausenitzer
Lyrics by Steffen Kummerer - Hudba
Germany’s progressive death metal masters OBSCURA complete their long-running, four-album conceptual circle with the release of Diluvium (defined as a great oceanic flood), their most evocative, diverse and vibrant release to date. Recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany, Diluvium is a stunning achievement for the illustrious quartet and a landmark release for progressive metal as a whole. Complete with all the band's signature elements plus groundbreaking polyrhythms, dramatic songwriting, and jaw-dropping virtuosity, OBSCURA raise the bar once again with an album that will go down in the annals of metal history as one of the most astonishing performances the genre has to offer.
I discovered Obscura thanks to the book "Metal Never Dies" of French CZcamsr Hubert (Metalliquoi? channel). I listened and fell in love immediately. I bought 3 albums. Once I "digest" them I'll buy the others. This is the kind of band I love to support. Awesome music, extraordinary work. Long life to Obscura!
This is technical death metal
the voice during the chorus sends me to a different galaxy. can't get enough of it!
you should check out Cynic - Focus. it has similar vocal style. try the song Veil of Maya
i really love that chorus !
Any Cynic tbh - Traced in Air had a lot of vocoder too, but just the level between his own voice and vocoder is a bit closer to a 50/50 mark. Traced in Air was the best album of 2008 - amazing production and song writing, nothing else really stood a chance that year! If you have access to a ridiculously good sound system put that album on from either the Flac or Vinyl, and be blown away!
The first time i heard that 1st Chorus with the Drums in the Background it really melted my face off, such epicness
I think it cheapens it. Cheesy and unnecessary.
What a batshit insane way to kickstart an album! Loving it!
Favorite track on the album. I mean we already know the guitar work is totally insane but that fretless goddamn and the drums holy shit and the vocals are perfect for the track. That vocoder they use in the chorus is so trippy.
That bass
Death metal fretless bass sounds like an oxymoron but it fits so we'll. Beyond Creation is the only other band I've ever heard that from. They are pretty dope too.
@@mikesbadopinions9671 Death also used a fretless bass in death metal.
The whole song is genius, but duuude 2:50 onwards is just damn smooth
That tempo change though.
that tempo change is goosebumps
Best technical death metal band...
Technical indeed! I'm used to playing things like Atheist and Cynic... just picked up the tab book to this album and it's a whole 'nutha level of insanity. Some of the most insane rhythm guitaring I've ever seen in tab.
1 faceless 2 beyond 3 obscura S2
Ulcerate my man
I don't pick favorites but they are one of the best. Archspire is right up there too.
Well i love Obscura really much but, Necrophagist is Necrophagist.
Hard to compare each album to eachother - But technically, this album excels. And that's exactly what I look to obscura for.
Well said
It's not too hard to imo. And who cares if the music takes a lot of chops to play if it's not good music. Why would you actively seek that element when it's literally not connected enough to quality composition itself to make it something you seek out. If Obscura wrote a fucking SICK funeral doom album I'd be stoked on that tbh hahahaha
@@jamespeterson4275 people look to Obscura for writing something so technically profound but also amazing. that's what they are.
Those Solos
👌🏻💯
These Bass-Solos!
Excelente banda.
Una de mis favoritas.
Obscura se va a presentar en Oakland ca a unos 20 minutos de San Francisco en septiembre.
I just do not have words !!! Unbelievable team !!!
Letra, instrumental, qualidade, originalidade, impecável!!
Yup, this is my favourite song from this album, not sure about others, would like to know
Andrej Vujin Luccassin it’s a toss up between this and Ethereal Skies for me
Ethereal Skies and Ekpyrosis tho
This, ethereal skies, and mortification of the vulgar sun
i love the dissonance in the title track
0:35 *T R I P L E T S*
It's a crime that there's no live version of this song available on youtube.
2:55 ALLAHIM SANA GELIYORUM YARABBI
Esta bien vergas la cancion se aventaron conmadre
I love this band! They’ve got a old school vibe to them and it’s sick af!
that chorus , INSANE !!
This song is definitely in my top 10 favorite obscura songs
Classic Obscura style!
Amazing track!
Dude the polyrhythms at 3:23 are sick
Wow We want this album
2:23 This fretless bass ♥♥
0:13 me when I step on a Lego
The best !
Awesome
that Obscura!
absolutely insane, what an absolute force of a song, especially that main verse riff (from 0:21) is just a thing of pure musical beauty and genius!
I can see the heaven or something in this song !
Brrrutal! 🤘🏻:D
It's great :D
Nice
I can feel the bass in my throat and it feels weird
Dat bass
🤘💥
wooow dat intro!!
¿a cuantos BPM va la canción?
Ich räume das Haus auf at 200 bpm when this is on.
Mind blowing fucking awesome
Obscura is very cool
Uuuugh
Steffen Kummerer is the new David Vincent
James Franco has the best band
dat beis is fuckin awesome
Qué rico bajo cuando se suelta peditos.......wow !!
The vocabulary puts high school English to shame lmao
Correct the song name. It's "Clandestine Stars", not "Clandestine Star".
Big black dahlia murder vibes on this one !
This band always reminds me of Necrophagist and the beast they would be if they were still around. I pretend this is them sometimes lol 😂 they are legendary!
except Obscura is way better
@@mikepshena Blasphemer !
The riff of the second 0:04 remember me Suicidal Angels - Torment Payback riff
SECURE AND CONTAIN TIME EMIT
BASS FUCKING SOLO
*oof*
thin guitars are ruining the whole thing
astrumt come again?
Thin Guitars or the tone in production? If it's the latter I kind of get what you mean.
Vocoder in Tech Death in 2018 is ultra Meh!
Why, because 3 bands use it? Growls are used in almost every tech death band so are they meh as well?
