The answer is probably Jose Mourinho and Roman Abramovic. They do not have patience for world class potential, they deal in immediate results. It’s worked out alright for them, but if they had more patience with these players, they could have been even more successful and better off. Don’t forget Lukaku too, who they then bought back for nearly £100million

Exactly. The position was packed with players. The competition was really high for it. In my opinion, Salah and De Bruyne came in at the wrong time. And who knows, they won't be who they are if they had stayed at Chelsea. There are instances where a player just don't fit a club not because they are bad or terrible, but just not meant to be. They just can't perform at their best at a club. That could even happened to Salah and KDB. I'm just glad as a Chelsea fan, leaving the club worked out for them.

  • @heshamabdelaziz96

he was never a bad player
he lacked confidence maybe as the switch to premier league from swiss is huge but the potential was always there
chelsea weren't patient at all even though he did well when loaned to fiorentina for 6 months scoring 9 goals, assisting 4 and producing 2 MOTM performances against spurs in the europe league's last 16 which is supposedly a game that's being watched closely in the UK then loaned him to rome for a year, scoring 15 goals and assisting 7 others
it felt like they didn't even think about calling him after his first season at rome which made him go into seria a best 11 of the season and earned him the rome player of the season and were glad that rome decided to activate that buying option for 15 millions after the first year loan cost them 5
had they called him to return in antonio conte's first season, he would've done so and refused to activate his option to buy for rome just as he refused to activate his buying option for fiorentina but they didn't and thought 20 millions was a bargain for him and now his value is over 100

@@RTX-yv7hj I thnik you can blame mourinho for not summoning him back for the preseason of season 15/16 after that successful loan spell at fiorentina and loaned him again to rome
however, during that season mourinho was sacked by chelsea and guus hiddink took an interim job till the end of the season and antonio conte was appointed at the start of 16/17 season
salah's option to buy was activated before the start of 16/17 season so I don't think the blame fall either for conte or hiddink as conte was just getting to know the players and hiddink almost had no real authority
the blame for sure lies in the sporting director of the club at that time who thought 20 million for salah was bargain and didn't even think about discussing with the new manager the possibility of bringing him back
therefore the decision to sell him is not mourinho's at all it's the club's and its sporting director at that time!

@@sambog2635 you can be impatient when it comes to managers and their ideas because as a club that used to win a lot in recent years you might not have the luxury to wait for the coach and players to click on together and that's understandable even if I disagree with this idea but it's something that you can accept as a club ideology
However, you must be patient with players and their potential
I mean that's literally why there is a loan option available for clubs
to give players who are not ready to force their way in the starting 11 currently a chance to develop outside while keeping an eye on their development and at the same time, you can benefit from their loan fees financially
it's a win win if you used it perfectly

He lacked confidence at Chelsea. and confidence comes with play time and goals. As soon as he started playing consistently at Fiorentina he started scoring and therefore his confidence grew. This is why it's always better for players to become stars at smaller teams before moving to big contender teams. In teams like chelsea they don't have time to give you to win your confidence, you have to be ready. I believe that if he moved directly from Basle to Liverpool it would have been the same as Chelsea, because he would have been the 'young talent from Basle' so he would be benched. But coming from Roma with a high transfer fee and salary and with the status of 'Roma no 1 star' no team can bench him, he would start every match and would have the confidence of any manager ...

The biggest difference between Basel, Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma vs Liverpool is his all round game was better pre-Liverpool but his stats were average. He was previously involved in build up play, dribbling was crisp and wanted to make things happen, whereas Liverpool he has bulked up maybe a stone heavier, is a goal and assist machine where he could not have a sniff all game and score the crucial goal. Also unlike before, he heavily relies on others to create chances for him but is also capable of scoring worldies. He now honed his qualities to ensure he is constantly devastating n effective never wasting energy. Great development
