I still use mine.
It's a great value, and much better than shooting with a phone or point and shoot. The only downside now is that Canon isn't making EF or EF-s lenses anymore. New 3rd party lens makers aren't doing it either...

Rowin’ and BBQ Park is what I call it. I still shoot the T3i when I am concerned with damage in an extreme ish environment. Still very capable

I still have my Rebel XT and it works just fine.The biggest problem is that the screen is the size of that found on an Apple Watch, lol.

I would really like to get a xt but it does not record video and im trying to dig out of digicams

I wouldn't even consider a camera that old. Look for something used or refurbished that is more modern.

That should handle most anything, after all it's the lenses you use that matter the most. That and your abilities.
