Yeah.Dale steyn taught me that you don't need to hit fours and sixes to entertain fans, you just need a good bowling action.
Philander had taken 51 wickets in his first 7 matches. In his initial years he was the most destructive test bowler in cricket.
Tarini Acharya Best seam bowler of this generation and it’s not close. His the fast bowling version of R Ashwin. Give Ashwin a dry turner and he is probably the best spinner in the world. Give Philander a green deck and he is as good and James Anderson

Vernon Philander is a great fast bowler. With a perfect repeating action, he had the ability to swing the ball out and cut in in and together with impeccable line and lenght, he was a very difficult proposition for the batsmen, particularly on the seaming wickets of South Africa

Special thing about that team is that sa won away from home except india and they nearly won in india in 2010 sa lost kolkata test match on late day 5 and they drew test series and in a era where teams dont win away from home in test cricket
