- Our beloved DC Comics, is full of supervillains. Some are scarier than others, some might seem pretty human from the heart at first, but always have a crucial turning point in their lives. There are also those villains who kind of met Batman during the starting point of his life as Batman. Hello everybody and welcome back to a new DC Supervillain video with Marvelous Videos. In today’s video we have a very interesting supervillain for you, from the early days of Batman. You are not ready to hear his story!
Well, you might already be a fan of him if you have been watching the live-action television series Gotham. Yes, this villain is included in that series. Batman’s first recurring villain we have in today’s video the origin story of Professor Hugo Strange. He is also one of the first Batman villains to discover the hero’s secret identity as Bruce Wayne. This supervillain was first introduced to us in Detective Comics #36 back in 1940. - Zábava
Hugo Strange would fit perfectly in Matt Reeves's take on Gotham. I could definitely see them going that route in the sequel.
You're right 👍 I also think it would be a good idea to have Hugo & Mr. Freeze working for the Court of Owls on developing super soldiers to fight Batman; What they should do is make the Court of Owls into 2 volumes while Batman works with the joker all Hannibal like that way they can make 4 films total.
@@andrewjensen1955 That would be pretty cool,maybe the supersoldier project could improvise and give a more realistic backstory to the more fantastical batman villains like Clayface and Poison Ivy with them being super powered mutants
They will use the joker..again..man I’m tired of the joker theres ALOT batman villains and they use the same all the time wouldn’t it be cool to have Hush,Clayface,Hugo Strange,Deathstroke,killer croc,deadshot ??
@@PautinoPR I'd love if Man-Bat was a side villain and everytime he appears the movie would become sort of a horror movie with him occasionally flying after random citizens at night and gliding down on them like a eagle and just ripping them apart

He's also one of the few people who can create Joker Toxin and Fear Toxin perfectly. I think he's also able to create his own version of Venom that's fairly close to the real one.
If they where to make another film they should use Hugo & Mr.freeze working for the Court of Owls; spilt it into 2 volumes & have batman working with the joker like in the movie Silence of the Lambs when Clarice talks with Hannibal. If it was done this way you could have a 4th stand alone with just the joker.

@@kronixgamer6529 I remember reading a panel from a comic during the time when Dick Grayson was Batman, Dick wakes up from a nightmare in the panel, after being given a dose of fear toxin made by Hugo Strange. I can't remember where I read the rest...

I think despite being an estabilished name in the villain roster of Batman, Hugo Strange is really underused and not very flashed out. In fact we could say that his Gotham iteration was the most prominent in 60 years. I believe he should be featured more as a simple human with just big brains is a much better suited villian type for Batman than superhumans
I think they should make the next Batman with Hugo & Mr. Freeze working for the Court of Owls & just split it into 2 volumes. If done like this you could have Batman interrogating the Joker/Riddler for information on Hugo/Owls like they did in Silence of the Lambs with Hannibal; This could set up a fourth installment with just the Joker. Making it like this you could also introduce the fear toxin without needing the scarecrow or you could save it for the Joker for a 4th installment.
@@andrewjensen1955 pretty good! Mr. Freeze is my favourite villain though so if they include him they better not push him to the side. He could really get his own movie, but I won’t complain either way. I actually kinda look like Hugo strange which is funny to me. I’m bald, have a thick black beard and wear round glasses haha

Hugo strange is an old school Batman character he existed even before the joker in comics.
*Strange knows that humanbeings are different and special in there own way but share certain similarities in certain situations and its true....but he likes to play with the paradox, he wants to see if he can play god while in the human body....and since he so smart especially in psychology he can do that to some degree....unlike professor pyg who thinks everybody is not perfect and want to put his own veiw on what human beauty is, hugo thinks everybody is perfect but instead of "fixing" he "improvises" question one's mind and letting the person "fix" themselves, he did it in the dark knight game video tapes with his patients and even in comic books and tv shows....he wants to see what the human mind can do to itself in a persons unique way. But he never wins or loses he just observes which makes him strange....*
Doesn’t make him strange, that’s what a scientist does. They observe, they do not interfere and they document their findings.
But he does it at a more extreme light, he's even kidnapped bruce wayne in the process of one of his schemes and even let the joker kill his employers for fun just to cut a deal with him...

Hugo Strange is DC's OG character that inspired Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2's Yuri.
A master psychologist who is also a guy able to create hulking monsters under his control by genetically altering them... and somehow inducing their genetic mutations to grow them to be their traits without waiting for them to grow up but instead induce that upon their adult bodies. Yep, Yuri from Red Alert 2.
They missed the golden opportunity to tease him in the new Batman film!unless the next film shows him watching the video camera back and forth between Batman and Riddler at Arkham.
Fun fact my dad was a collector of comics and I was brought up with the entire Batman catalog and Dr. HUGO STRANGE is why I ended up seeking and earning my degrees in Bio chemical engineering and pharmaceutical engineering. My mind control formula is almost complete! Lol

There are so many characters who just randomly have phenomenal physiques. Even when Gordon took up the Batman mantle temporarily, I was like “Really? Even Gordon is ripped and muscular?”

@@WolfStreak he's not randomly shredded. A major aspect of his character is that he's obsessed with batman and obsessed with being batman. So he trained to mental and physical peak.
Cause I always call him by his full name, or call him Professor Strange, I never realize Hugo Strange can also be known as Doctor Hugo Strange...Doctor Strange is a villain of Batman...would be a interesting what if fight between Batman and the Sorcerer Supreme.

I was never a comic book fan but obviously knew who batman Was and I played Arkham city first, the open for Arkham city with Hugo strange is on of the most powerful intros into a video game I've scene made me go back and play Arkham asylum first just so I can not miss anything and appreciate the beginning of Arkham city

I feel like Hush was supposed to be the villain originally, but the average person probably isn't aware of Hush so they just put Hush in green and called him Riddler.
