"bone eating snot flower worm" That's amazing 😂
Biologists aren't exactly renowned for our naming conventions...
Listening to scientists get so lovingly and nerdingly excited about cool stuff in the ocean is like 80% of why I love tuning in to this channel! It's a highlight of my day
Same here 🤗♥️
The little octo waving @1:35 omg
1:46 That's the most polite octopus i've ever seen. Bye little guy!
I am literally in the process of painting a whale fall this is such a good video for reference omg
Lucky you :D
do you have an art account?
I love the Octopus waving. so cute.
Thank you all for this wonderful experience ❤️ keep up the incredible work!
This is better than anything I've seen online in a long time. FUN, oh my goodness it's a delight to see all of everything in this video!
I always appreciate these videos and the commentary from these knowledgeable people.
fabulous footage and commentary
좋은 영상 보여주셔서 감사합니다😍
Thanks again friends.
that was super cool. i learned about these in marine vert in college. fun to revisit it a couple years after the class.
I remember working at NowThis News and watching this, then immediately assigning a story on it. Such joy.
Wow. Thank you Monterey for the hi-def version of this.
The crew had a whale of a time with this find. 😉
wait you called lazarus?
amazing
Fascinating
Sharks around 😅
The fuzz worms make the bones look gold . Cool
Thank you.
I like the idea of towing any washed up whales out off the continental shelf and letting them fall.
Imagine the scale of whale fall 500 years ago. Now a days there are so few large sea mammals left the abysmal plains have truly become a desert.
Ohhh!!! :0! Bone eatting worms??
Bone eating snot worms
WoW 👍😁
Aloha hugs 🤗 very interesting 😊 I wanted to watch the Octopus 🐙 More with less chatter .
to the octopus waving, bye octopus
Literally saw a cephalopod fanart before this video in my feed lol.
this job most be so awesome lol
Bone Eating Worms was my Misfits cover band.
😱 o m g 😱
How much depth here?
The incredible edible whale! 🐋
How does one get into this career field?
Wheres the footage when they come back to it and stop ?
Yeah i thought they're going to include the revisit dive in the end.
🐳🐙
how deep it is?
I heard 450 meters or yards (?) - four five zero ?
If i remember correctly, it was 3000+ meters bellow the surface.
idk why but whale skeletons always freak me out o-o
Why don't the lights you guys shine on the fish blind them? Is it like dilation with humans? where things are super bright when the lights are turned on in complete darkness?
Little creepy when numerous octopi turn and wave a tentacle at the camera throughout the video.
i remember a movie with dead whale and then same whale after couple years... is it same one?
no. This is a new find.
@@AwesomeFish12
so no point to look for old ones to compare the difference after time.. thx for answer. gl
I don't know what you meant by "movie" but they did revisit the same site again in 2020 (this is a clip from 2019).
@@dewantoroo
clip, movie same thing for me as non english person, thx for explenation!
How cute does that one girl sound
I thought this said whale fail
You must mention at what depth is this sea floor. Disappointingly sloppy
It was a baby whale??? :(
Some whale species are smaller, so not neccessarily.
A lot of Californians on this crew... Yaaaaah! Yeeess! Nooo waaaay!😂😂
I want my dead body to be fish food too.
I wanna smoke weed with all these people
how bout we talk one at a time?
Yeaahhhh that's why I don't get in the ocean.....bone eating snot flower worm and whatever else is hiding in the deep dark depth of the oceans
Put it on mute for the first few minutes..
this would be better if there wasn't sound quit talking over each other!!!!
Here's an idea: let's all talk at the same time so no one knows what the h*** is going on.
Too cool. Never gets old. Y'all could be more professional? Talk to us ? Reedit?
😢😖😫
I can just mute too tho. Yeah 👍. I can.
...k...
Why does everyone say the same thing? Wow, wow, wow, oooh yeah oooh. There are no other expressions?
What’s great is they consistently talk over each other and have nothing significant to say.
Hey, you're still here. I thought you believe they used CGI for all of their vids. Keep preaching the conspiracy theory bruh 😂
@@dewantoroo thanks i will. Someone needs to scrutinize and put these “scientists” to question. I don’t really care all too much, just calling it phoney cause it is
@@sestey you definitely care. Because you keep commenting on their video about it. And that's okay. You do you. Just keep us updated when you proved these "scientist" wrong. Don't forget to make a podcast or expose video on this scam. No need to release a "scientific" journal either.
@@dewantoroo don’t question anything, it makes me sad. No scientists or politicians will ever lie. No one lies in this world. Everyone just going around telling the truth.
