- Taking you from Mumbai to Lonavala in a Vistadome coach. This is my first ever vistadome train journey and also the first time im travelling to Lonavala by train. So I wanted to share this vistadome train experience in Mumbai with you guys. Im also exploring some old, legendary and my favorite food places in Lonavala. All details below:

Loved the video, it brought back fond memories. I grew up in Lonavla in the 80s and 90s - the best years of my life. So glad that you covered Rupam chikki, as that was the one and only chikki shop we always bought chikki. Though not famous I second you that it's the best chikki and glad to know it's still consistent with the quality, as it's been over 15 or more years since I've been to Lonavla. And ofcourse, mouth waters when I hear of Cooper's fudges!

Honestly I am soo happy to see this Train now in Mumbai for us to enjoy this travelling experience I really wanted to see such trains in India 💖

There are Vistadome trains in the Arakku Valley (Vizag) and also between Mangalore & Bengaluru.
LonVala made me nostalgic. Out picnics from school each year ended here. We enjoyed the Bhushi dam, the waterfalls and chikkis. I too prefer this small shop for chikkis the staff is so friendly.
We used to stay at the sadhu vaswani ashram's place. Thanks for the wonderful journey.
Pls note the vistadome coach is in the end of train while going to Pune and in front while returning to Mumbai. Advisable to opt only for going as you can't enjoy the tunnel while returning.

Yes absolutely correct. Even I stand next to the door while I travel despite of travelling with a reserved railway ticket.
Somehow I used to go to bushi dam , Lonavla lake and market area.i never visited these places for misal and chikki....great video...please keep adding more about places around mumbai

Hi Shweta, We used to come to Lonavla in our college days in the 70s. Then there were nothing but Vada Pao (₹2/-) & Maganlal Chikki was available.There was on Irani Hotel outside Lonavala station. where we had Omlette, Bun and superb Irani Chai..
First time visitor as your video popped up , but very impressed, me to a pakka mumbaikar but now only 2 weeks visit each year !!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I had been to Goa by Vistadome (Jan Shatabdi express) during the monsoon back in 2018 and have been a fan of this seating class ever since! I completely agree that train food is indeed underrated. Cutlets are awesome. Being from Karjat, I feel apart from Vadapav the misal you get at Karjat is also excellent and is highly underrated and although Buvachi misal is good, you get better misal pav at Karjat with dried green peas rassa rather than moth beans. Suggest you do a full food vlog at Karjat - it'll be fun. No two opinions that Cooper's is the best, it dents your pockets big time but there's no parallel. Thrilled to know that they are finally opening a new outlet cum casual dining setup. On your next trip, please do a video at Rama Krishna at Lonavala. Am sure you'd have some memories about that place as well. I have been a fan of A1 Chikki at Lonavala but would try Rupam on your recommendation! Would love to see a full Vistadome experience to Pune and a Pune food tour too! The vibe of that city is superb. Thanks for the mention about our hometown (Karjat) once again 😀

Great vlog ...Lonavla and Pune are my heart beats ...in rainy season one must go to lonavla especially in Fariyas Hotels and resorts....Yup i used to hang on the door while gging to Del by Rajdhani express .... Fudges and chikkis are the best in lonavla .... beautiful nail polish u put on ... Please put more vlogs ..Regards. 👍👍

It's a dam coz when I went there it didn't look like dam from anywhere....but there was police announcement suddenly to vacate the dam...and yes that pond reminds me too of that pond with big swan/flamingos statues🤔...and I loved there sandwiches ....and yes I missed on the fudge..it was a well organized vlog every step..love from gunjan.
