If Adam Silver could push to have Donald Sterling removed as the owner of the Clippers at the very beginning of his commish tenure in the NBA, I find it very hard to believe Rajah can't get this clown outta there even if just by applying public pressure.
He didn't have him removed as owner.
He banned Donald sterling from attending any future NBA events. A lifetime ban. But he still owned the team.
It was Donald sterling's wife who sold the team. She had a contract with her husband that allowed her to take control of the team if two independent doctors could show he was mentally unfit to run the team. Two doctors testified, the wife took over the team, and she sold it to Microsoft ceo Steve Balmer.
So, that's not actually a good example. But the nfl could ban him from attending events.

My first memory of football was watching Doug Williams lifting the Superbowl MVP trophy after the Skins won that Superbowl in 87. I remember the 80's being a turbulent time in DC when I was young, but nothing and I mean nothing brought the DMV together like the Skins, especially on Dallas week. Ever since that team left the District it's been all downhill. The manner in which this is playing out, especially since it's to a fanbase who is kind of educated about government hearings and white privilege, is the biggest disgrace possible for a Commies fan. We understand the level of absurdity better than anyone. There was no getting a ticket at RFK for a visiting fan, and if you did, you better bring a skins fan with you to vouch. I haven't spent a single penny on anything from that franchise in 15 years. I watch the games, and root hard for the team and the players (they're still my boys), but I can't spend a penny on them. With Snyder as the owner, I never will.

Owning a sports team, especially an NFL team, is one of the few businesses where you can just completely fail year after year, for decades, and still get richer every year. Of COURSE there's going to be some shenanigans going on. The owners are damn near untouchable, and they know it. They can write their own rules and ignore them anyway.
The only thing that surprises me about any of this is that some people honestly seem surprised by it.
That’s cause there is a little precedent for removing owners, for example Jerry Richardson selling the Panthers and (from the nba) Donald Sterling selling the Clippers. I think the only reason Snyder isn’t out is because he has a ton of blackmail on the other owners and Goodell

Unless his behavior materially impacts the bottom line of the league or is so bad that it causes a mutiny from his players, thus impacting the bottom line of the league, the other owners don't care. The sexual assault allegations will only matter if they result in a criminal conviction with jail time. I would bet money that a "Don't do what Dan Snyder Did" clause would automatically kick out half of current ownership if implemented. Dan Snyder is just the one who's misdeeds we know about. That's why the embezzlement allegations are far more likely to result in action than everything else in that 450+ page report combined.
