The Washington Redskins need no introduction. They are one of the most reviled organizations in professional sports, and for good reason. The team is a tire fire, not just on the field, but off it in many aspects. It is usually the situation where the men in charge feel nothing is wrong and their way is perfect. Wouldn't you guess it, this is how the Redskins brass feel. Bruce Allen told reporters after firing Jay Gruden that "the culture is actually damn good."

I live in MD and the tickets for my high school football game were more than tickets for the Redskins
I don't know about last year but for decades (even when losing) you could not get Redskins season tickets unless you knew someone. Now once the season started and it was a bad one yes you could buy tickets from many places. But that wait list had people on for years and they were never called. They were also one of the most profitable merchandise teams for years even though their last Super Bowl win was in the 80's.
I work in d.c and the boss puts free redskins tickets in the common area for anyone that wants them ...no one ever wants them

I lived outside DC for a couple years in the late '80s and the Redskins were THE thing in DC. No Nationals, and the Bullets/Wizards and Capitals were consistently mediocre. But on Sundays, you knew where everybody was going to be, and that was in front of the TV (if you weren't one of the lucky ones at RFK) either rooting for the Skins or cussing them out. God, those days when the NFC East was the best division in football and a Redskins-Giants or Redskins-Cowboys game was more than just a Urinating Tree meme.
