I am SO glad you embedded the pet hair in the carpet *really* good. I'm so tired of seeing the qvc style "we sprinkled some blobs of hair on the floor oh WWOOOOWW look how great it picks it up!!!" tests
😂
LOOK OMG the small bloB of hair we just sprinkled on hardwood floors got picked up 🤩
It's satisfying to watch if the ad is background noise but when you're actually looking for a vacuum, you want reality
Ikr get tired of seeing those commercials where the hair looks like it’s gently resting on the surface and gets vacuumed up with ease.
Me too
I’ve suffered severely from allergies and was never able to truly clean my floor from fine dust and cat hairs. This changed the day I bought the Shark Apex. Truly one of the best vacuums I’ve ever had.
Wonderful!
Don’t buy a bagless if you have allergies. Especially a shark.
We love ours. Really no complaints except for the hose- it’s not long enough and it is too stiff.
We love the power, attachments, cord length, floor type selector, light on the handle, floor lights, swivel, brush rolls, etc.
I had to stop by this video months and months later to say Thank You for the thorough reviews you do!! I got the Shark Zero M largely because of your review, and I couldn't be more pleased. My roommate and I love this vacuum so damn much, we named her Phyllis, and we regularly say she's our favorite roommate. She's the best thing to ever happen to my allergies and my house!!
Thank you so much!
Right?! I LOVE my Shark Zero M. We have shedding dogs and a long hair cat. I vacuum EVERY DAY. We have tiled floors and rugs. My sister has the Dyson V8 and thing is useless. Her battery only lasts for doing one or two rooms and things get stuck/clogged constantly and the canister is too small and the battery takes forever to charge.
We named her Phyllis 😂
Did you get the Navigator Zero M or the Apex Zero M?
Do you happen to know how much the shark zero M weighs?
Thank you for mentioning your consulting work with Shark. It is important that consumers are aware of any potential conflicts of interest.
its a complete conflict of interest. he will never mention how shark is absolute crap made out the cheapest chinasium money can buy
@@andrewdonohue1853I would have to strongly disagree with you on this subject. I’ve owned several different brands, including Dyson, and I after owning a shark I will never go back to any other brand until they significantly improve beyond what shark has produced. If you’re going to purchase one, you should definitely spend the extra money for a top tier model though
Your channel is literally a life saver! It’s hard to find honest and impartial reviews 🙏🏻
Pretty cool to see it slowly cleaning the hair off the roller!
Very satisfying
I have been using my bigger Shark with the zero m head for cleaning houses, and I watched the hair slowly get taken off of the brush roll the other day 😂 it was very satisfying to watch
"I need a bunch of pet hair for a thing."
"I know a guy."
I laughed when he said this is a ridiculous amount of pet hair. I thought dude have you ever been around a shedding husky or German Shepherd?
You are so detailed absolutely straight-forward and extremely helpful! Such an Under-rated channel in my opinion (and I literally just finished watching this video, the first video I've watched of yours... So far)! Needless to say, ya got another subscriber. Thank you so much for your well-planned out test and overall suggestions!
I recently purchased a Shark Rotator Powered lift away with Zero M. I absolutely love it! I have long hair down to my waist & 2 cats (one maincoon that sheds more hair than I do). I was astonished at how well this vacuum works!! It picked up twice as much as my old cheap vacuum & the room smells clean afterwards! I'm in love & I appreciate your videos! Thank you 😊
I’m jealous with the cat.
Purchased Shark Apex Zero M based on your recommendations almost a year ago. The vacuum is amazing. I don’t see enough of a difference in the vertex to upgrade at this point.
my shark rotator professional (white and red) is a beast. it’s held up against 2 German Shepherds, one is a long hair shepherd. and i live in a farmhouse with 3 boys. it’s a great vacuum!
I got a Dyson ad right as you showed it failing! Gotta love it!
Gotta love that duoclean on the shark. I have very long hair and I never see it wrapped on it. It seriously saves me so much time.
As someone with long hair who has a SO with long hair and a cat I really appreciate this video.
I bought my Shark apex Duo clean based on its performance in vacuum wars testing and I was so excited to see it do well in this round, especially since hair and hardwood is my biggest battle.
This is the housewife content I need 🤣
The best vacuum channel hands down!! You inspired me to get the Shark Apex. It works great throughout our hardwood floors! Gotta love the fuzzy roller.
Thanks so much!
I love the fluffy head on my Dyson V10
Did the same for me! I bought an apex and I have a husky and I love my vacuum! I’ll never buy another brand!
Yes this vacuum is worth the investment try to get every attachment for it if its in your budget there's a few new attachments available on website and they have added to my cleaning power. Hands down best vacuum I've owned it leaves my hardwood shinny like its been buffed.. Its an upright/ canister all in one perfect for a full house cleaning vs a bulky over hyped Dyson I once owned.. 🙄 That thing was just uncessarly bulky and I couldn't even get under the highest coffee tables with that thing. 😡
I've been waiting for this video for a WHILE now ❤❤ thank you! Awesome channel
Glad you enjoy it!
Thank you for this great comparison! My bissel pet hair eraser broke a few days ago after about 5 years of use and I'm now in the market for a new vacuum! I was surprised to see the Bissel still on this list all these years later but I guess it's overall a good vacuum. That blind spot due to the belt is extremely annoying though so I do think I will be trying a Shark this time around!
My dog has 1 to 1 1/2in stiffer short hair that seems to weave itself in the rugs and a couch. Have a Shark and it cannot get these hairs especially on the couch. Their hoses are like using exercise bands, you have to hold the unit with one hand and pull the attachment to the floor or furniture its quite the workout and makes using it even more a chore.
Exactly, I'm sweating bullets by the time I get done vacuuming area rug and front of loveseat with this shark rotator. Makes me question WHY I got this dog...(jk, keeping him, looking for better vacuum. 🙄)
I love your videos and your channel! I watch every single one and don’t even really need a new vacuum! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Will do!
Appreciate the amount of effort put into this video. Good work guys
Thanks so much.
You are the project farm CZcamsr of vacuums specifically, I am receiving so much extreme valuable information from you regarding these vacuums, it's what we all use in our homes on a daily basis at least for myself. Having four pets and plenty of hair that needs cleaning up after the end of the day this is valuable information. Currently watching your videos to find the best option regarding pet hair, I have 90% hard floors and the rest is carpeted, but can't really afford anything over $500, so you are my go to vacuum guy! Thank you for your product information
Thanks so much! We hope the videos help you out!
Thank you for this video! Super helpful. The factors considered was everything I was looking for and into a less than 10 min video.
Glad it was helpful!
My mother had the purple shark. Honestly, I'd recommend this vacuum based purely on its performance after how my mother treats it. She's had it I'd guess for over five years and it's been emptied maybe five times, mostly by me. She never cleans it's, never de hairs the rollar. But the machine is just as powerful as when it came out the box. I'm really impressed with how long and well the vacuum has worked and if my lazy cow mother actually cleaned it once a year it'd be even more powerful
"lazy cow mother" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Username checks out....lol

You have no idea how much you have helped me in my decision making. I've purchased a Shark Vertex solely due to your video. Great purchase decision. The only regret is I wished I could have purchased it allowing you to receive a commission. HEPA vacuums are mandatory for me. Do you have any recommendations for a HEPA wet/dry vac and HEPA carpet shampoo vacs?
Hi Vacuum Wars! Great Videos! What are your thoughts about which CORDLESS is best for pet hair (and long human hair) and tangles around the brush? Are the v11 Animal and Torque 100% equivalent in this regard and the only differences the attachment selection and the countdown screen? Needed for both carpet and hard flooring! Thanks :)
Haha too funny yet soooo true! “Adulting” can be pretty lame; we gotta find something to get excited about!
I have a quick question.. Bissell recommends the besr way to vacime is side to side.. can u run ur testes side to side because idk if this really matters
I just bought my shark vertex and am so excited I had to watch videos like this😂😂😅😂
This video was exactly what I needed and looking for to make my decision on a new vacuum!! Thank you very much 🙌
Glad it was helpful!
I just bought the vertex because my dyson animal was not getting my Shiite dig hair out of rugs after multiple passes. While I was totally shocked and impressed by the vertex my arm is now killing me from vacuuming on rugs.
I just bought the shark rotator ZU620 after my 11 year old Hoover suction valve broke. I’m a dog groomer and I’m impressed and obsessed with vacuuming now! I use to get out a broom for the hardwood but now it’s easier and cleaner with the vacuum!
Great to hear you are happy with it!
The world needs you around Vacuum Wars
Thanks so much for these videos! Im trying to figure out what vacuum I should buy and I have found lots of information from you. Lifesaver!
Glad it was helpful!
the best and thorough vacuum analytic video I have ever seen! you are amazing
Glad you think so!
Thank you for your honest review!! Very helpful!
I never comment on these kinds of videos but your video deserves it! Thanks for the great video, ordering the navigator on Friday.
Thanks!
With all my Shark and Dyson vacuums I've always had a problem with hair jamming up the two front wheels by the brush roller.
Thank you so much sir I bought the shark vertex and I couldn't be happier with them in my hardwood floor home.
Great info! The scientific style is appreciated! Given the Shark Navigator Zero M cleared long hair on its own here, it might be nice to add a “hair self clearing” opportunity for all vacuums. Believe I’ve seen some videos that illustrate some of the newer brush heads doing this self clearing. Thanks!
Thank you for the time and effort you put in this video 🙏
Thanks so much!
I love love love my Shark Apex Duoclean! I'm glad you mentioned needing to clean between the rollers, though; in a heavy pet hair environment, it gets trapped in there and actually felts.
I really appreciate these tests and reviews. The thoroughness and consistency is trust-worthy and results in useful informaton that’s applicable to real-world issues! So glad I found this channel before buying my next vacuum.
Thank you!
Bravo!!! Now that is amazing, detailed reviews!! Thank you! Great job!
Thank you kindly!
After binge watching some of your videos this morning, I have mixed emotions. I’m 1. Glad that I somehow managed to own your number one “cheap” recommendation, but 2. I now want to include a vacuum on my list for our new house because some of these are really just impressive, specifically for the aspect of them making the amount of dust in my home so much better
With 3 long-haired dogs the pet hair is out of control around here and our 16 year old Dyson Animal wasn’t cuttin it anymore. Based on your excellent demonstration and thorough review we ordered the Shark Vertex. Fantastic on pet hair on hardwood, tile, and marble floors. Exceptional.
Great to hear this! Thanks!
The real test is will hair get stuck in the brush roll caps or in the bearings. Does hair clog up the shroud, cyclone or filters. Or does hair get stuck in the bin and require reaching up and pulling it out. Hair on the brush is the least of your worries and easy to remove. I have had more than one vacuum that did great on hair but I later found hair clogging up the brush roll caps and bearings. Or a filter and cyclone clogged up with pet hair. Plus how well the machine does on surface hair is insignificant compared to how it does on deep down hair embedded in carpet fibers.
I love watching this man validate the fact that I bought a great vacuum (because he told me to)
Lol true
Shark navigator zero is really good. I have 3 cats and live in dusty Texas. The Navigator and the Bissel revolution pet work really well together. I withheld my upvote until I had some uses with the navigator and just came back to show my approval. Good stuff my man.
Thank you for taking the time to do this! Much appreciated!
My pleasure!
Wow just found you today and really appreciate all these videos!!
So glad! Thanks!
Your videos are amazing and very informative!👌🏼Thank you so much!! 👍🏻🤗🙏🏼
You are so welcome!
I own a Bissell Clearview vacuum that I purchased at Sam’s Club on sale for $80. It is currently the highest rated affordable vacuum ($100 and under) on Amazon and elsewhere. The first one I purchased broke within the first month of ownership. The bristles/brush abruptly quit spinning. Not at all surprising considering I used it to vacuum a restaurant floor five nights a week. A floor which often wet, damp, and/or often littered with little pieces of food (corn, green beans, etc)
I had my second one now about six months and believe I found the problem. I believe I was vacuuming too low on the first one. I returned and replaced the first one after it broke and raised the vacuum height to 3/4 from the 1/2 I used on the first vacuum and it seems to have solved the problem.
Super informative, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I've had multiple vacuums over the years including my trusty old 1983 Rainbow D3C and I'm back to only using the Rainbow. It's the last one standing and it works the best. We have multiple cats and clean carpet. Edit: If your long human hair is falling out in clumps, you have a bigger problem than finding a good vacuum cleaner.
Thanks, this was very helpful
Glad it helped!
Thanks this helped a lot with my decision
Purchased a shark vertex thanks to your excellent testing and content. I’m disappointed to say after 11 months of use in a home with 2 dogs and kids the front roller stopped working and Shark has informed me that this part isn’t covered under warranty and would cost over $125 with shipping to replace. While your testing and review are spot on I felt you should know that this happened to round out your knowledge. Keep up the great content.
I appreciate that. Thanks for sharing here.
Brother thank you and I appreciate the embedded p
Hair tests because anyone can pick shit up that was just dropped. Kudos
Hi again thanks to your hard work and reviews I've recommended to people to get vacuum you've tested and shown thanks again keep up the good work
Awesome! Thanks!
Wow! Very insightful video! Made my vacuum shopping so much easier!
Glad it helped!
A hell of a test. Thank you very much.
Your videos are so helpful! Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this!! Very helpful!
Glad to hear that! thanks!
Genius! The least van be said about this video. This detailed scientific approach is fabulous
Impressive. Well done mate!
Thank you! Cheers!
You can’t beat a good vacuum for picking up the dreaded dog hair it gets everywhere 👍👍
...the one that’s best WITH a completely “sealed system” is most important 👍👍👍
and is usable by people with weak hands too, I have run into way to many vacuums that require a man in peak condition to use one part or another.
Thank youuuuu so much !!! Excellent video 👍 very helpful,
You are welcome!
I'm so happy someone took the time to do this hahaha. My corgi/Australian shepherd mix sheds 24/7.
Added to my watch list for when I have to come back and decided which one to buy lol. Thanks for the video.
Absolutely excellent review, thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching!
Between the three Shark models that you recommend, which do you feel does the best overall job for a near even mix of hard floor vs carpet? We are planning on removing all carpet but that is about another 1-2 years out. Right now, we need pet fuzz and super long human hair angst control.
Can you do an updated video on this? If you feel the results are the same or if some of the new ones work better
Great review my guy. Keep up the good work for us
Thanks! Will do!
Amazing Job congratulations and thanks!
Thanks so much!
Nice video! Thank you! Helps.
Glad it helped!
Thank you!!! This is extremely helpful!!
Great to hear! Thanks!
Forget pet hair, we need a women hair test!
That’s urgent I know
I bought my used Apex for ALL hair. My wife's and cats'. Over 18" long human hair and ultra fine long cat hair. You don't realize how much is in the carpet until you empty the bin. The top part of the bin separates larger heavy objects like screws. Yes, I was curious if it would pick up some concrete screws I dropped on the floor.
Lol
@@JakkiPi shark Apex?
Lmao I think my hair exists more than my shedding critters's fur. ( I've got hair down to middle of back) I'm always cutting mine out of the brushes. At my boyfriend's we use sticky backed labels as a pre sweep for my hair lol.
Great tests thanks
Thank you!
Great video! Will we be seeing a review of the Riccar R25 soon? Noticed it when you were talking about hair tangling!
Good eye, I keep meaning to but stuff just keeps coming up.
Thank you my 2014 dyson vacuum just went out so this will be very helpful
Great!
Yo - Bravo. Always appreciative of you CZcams heroes getting to the truth of things
I got a vertex and its legit good af. I had a rug in my house that never got completely "clean" with my regular shark power lift. But with my new vertex the rug is spotless
That's great!
This was so helpful! Can you also test the best cordless upright vacuums?
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm noting that now.
Excellent video! Good to know about the Bissell but the exhaust blowing everything all over is something I didn't think of!
Thanks! 👍
The Shark ZU62 is the latest Navigator Pet with Zero-M.
A cheaper option is the ZU60, a Walmart-only model. It's nearly identical but comes with 2 instead of 3 tools, and the tools look of lesser quality. BUT, if you only care about the performance, the 3X dust cup, and the zero-m tech it can be had for a 229 every-day price.
A-mazing, A-mazing review!!!! Thank you!
My pleasure!
Thank you for your expertise! I was at wits end with cat and dog hair in my Persian Rug!
thank you for this video, my hair is over 27 inches long so definitely need a great vacuum that won't get the hairs stuck on the bristle. thank you for your video.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much!!! I was about to buy the turbo bissell and I’m using it for furniture and laminate flooring. This video saved me a bad purchase!!!!! THANK YOU
You are so welcome!
Just so you know as a pet owner I am a fan of Shark. However when I bought the zero M duo the one with orange roller and yellow center roller it will bind up in dog hair eventually. That duo roller in front is awful on carpet. Yes you have to remove it and clean the fur from the mount areas but I have now had a problem with center roller. I'm guessing I will have to completely take it apart to get to the center one but it is now binded in hair and I know it's around where it mounts to side of vacuum. I like my Shark rotator better for carpet and pet hair. Same with my Shark robot but still works great.
Using longer fibers allows those lime me with super long hair get a better idea of how much our hair would tangle in these
Thanks for helping make my vacuum decision!
you're welcome!
Wonderfull. This is very amazing products. Love it’s. Thanks you so much.
Glad you like it!
I love your vacuum cleaners testing videos and versus videos.
Thank you!
Bought the Vertex, simply amazing. Cheers
Great to hear!
Your channel is a blessing
Thank you.
Could you do a comparison of the Shark Vertex upright and the Shark Apex upright vacuums?
Vacuum Wars, curious as to how your favorites did on hardwood or tile?? Thanks so much for the informative vid & I hope to hear back!! 😉👍🏻👍🏻
Which bagged vacuum that has a
Cord for carpet would you recommend ??
I just wanted to say something nice because you did a great job 😀😊
Thank you so much 😀
Right before I watched this video- I got a vacuum Ad- xD
Great video by the way!! ^^
Thank you!
