You are right! Eating crabs in front of a person says a lot. ‘I must really like you, or I don’t care because I am eating crabs most likely for free…’one or the other is the scenario . The romance worked on me but I love these kind of stories, I even liked the awkward shoulder rub. ‘When I watch that scene it brought such a smile to my face’. To be fair I have massive bias, I like the looks of zhousheng chen ……I am forgiving a lot…gawd them lips, his armor, his baring! Be still my heart. So yeah totally blinded was picking up what he was throwing down, not even going deny if another actor played this role that I would have a different opinion. As for the side characters. I do wish we got more of them, they seems so much fun. Like the only one who lived did he have a crush feng qiao? The mom, I loved!! She was great such a beautiful character, family, duty, tradition, but also regret and pain. She had to give up her husband , and she didn’t want to. Loving her daughter and trying to allow her daughter more freedoms than she got. The villains are typical hunger for power bs we get, so I’d not expect much for them, but that prince, he put all his hopes and dreams on shiyi. She definitely became idealized and idolized. He doesn’t love her but loves the idea of her. I don’t think we need to go further this isn’t the great gatsby. Long videos are great! Never apologize! If you make 5 second video however I might have some words.

I think the disciple who lives only thinks of Feng Qiao as a sister🤔, it's pretty platonic between all of them.

It would have been nice if one of the ships were seaworthy. Which is more taboo? Shifu & Disciple or Monk & General?
I’m voting shifu and disciple. The teacher is to guide the student, not take advantage.
Probably equally taboo. Though, with Shifu-Discipe, there's a higher chance of a power imbalance that -- unless is handled well -- always stands in the way of the relationship.
(In this drama, though, I wouldn't say the taboos even apply, since the characters are forced into these roles by others. They hardly act like Shifu/disciple at all😂)
I could really watch an entire drama spin off with the monk and warrior. Like him coming back to the world and taking revenge and then confronting what he lifer behind before he became and monk and merging the two conflicts. His conflict from the past and and revenging his friend as he said when he threatened the sickly Prince
That would be a great spinoff!

You mean Forever and Ever? I haven't had the chance to see that one yet. Still debating it since I believe this ending is already good enough :D
@@quippequest It reads like a completely different drama so you wont be too attached to One and Only. That said, I dnf Forever and Ever because ZSC became an absolute bore with no chemistry with bailu's character

I must not have a straight moral compass because I would also let her go. The emperor is obsessive and removing her makes it easier to send someone to him. Oh yes, I see it now. I'm not a good person.
Nahh, really? I think we just feel right to let her go cause we're looking at this as outsiders. But personally faced with the situation? Hard to say🤔
