What were the Porthcawl Carnivals like in the 1970s?

Gail's mum, Mrs Sylvia Graham, had the Sweet Shop in John Street then, where Boots the Chemist is now. I am sure some of you had some sweet treats from there!

Excellent video! I can get quite emotional watching things like this. I'm from Swansea and have fond memories of going to Porthcawl many times with my parents during my childhood in the 1970s.
