Thank you for sharing this and I definitely agree that timing and direction are very important. Plane facing is so cool literally and didnt realize what it was until you explained it in this video. Tics tacs definitely have to practice them in different planes but have it down in wheal plane. Zero points are definitely very useful and have been playing around with how to add and subtract energy with the poi.

Maybe not "beginner" per say, but personally I LOVED orbitals when I got started. Learning those moves taught me so much about the 5 fundamentals you covered here. So, I would humbly add "String manipulation" as a consideration. Both Isolations and tangles would fall under this category, but perhaps not under absolute beginner... It was a beginner "trick" for me, anyways.

Hand Independence - I am working on that and it can be maddening at times.

This is super helpful! I’m just getting started in my poi journey and it’s overwhelming on the amount of things to learn. I have been using your previous videos but this gives me a list of things to really focus on.

Would you consider making a full glossary of tricks in poi? I’m picking up tricks here and there but I’m feeling like they’re incomplete and there’s so much I’m not even aware of.
There are other lists of poi tricks but they seem incomplete, and you’re incredibly active.
Thank you for all of the work that you do!

    Awesome stuff, thank you.
I compiled a sort of routine for myself based on your previous videos and it ended up consisting from exactly those point you mentioned here.
Thank you for confirming I guess 😅

Do you recommend us making our own sock poi?

Making your own poi is a rite of passage, I would say. You should absolutely try if that sounds like something you want to do!
