The first time you hear this song, you are struck by the shear beauty and greatness. Here just 5 days after the launch of this channel. Can't be more happy. Trains is not just a song.. it's a whole genre of music.. a way of life. Welcome, my fellow PT fans.. here we unite again. In our secret little universe.
It was so nice to see Steven Wilson being a human being rather than a robot. Not that he doesn't express himself on stage, but anyone that laser-focused on creating perfect music simply isn't human.
The synchronized audience clapping at 4:12 sounds like the one that can be heard almost throughout in the song (the sound of a running train) which is something I absolutely love about this masterpiece of a song. Just gives me chills.
The warm melancholy I feel in my whole body while listening to this song is the closest I'll come to how much I can love music. I started with PT 5 years ago and I haven't found any other band who know how to control my muscles and organs and my heart and my blood like PT does. Pure Magic this song and the whole band.

At 5:26 a fan yells "Yea" and it supercharged me (and the crowd). But, if you know Steve, you know that he doesn't like spontaneous vocalizations from the audience (at 5:26 I also cringed with this knowledge). I was once at a show in NYC when someone yelled out like that. Steve halted the music and admonished the guy. After that moment, you could hear a pin drop (we had all been roundly chastised like a bunch of little kids). He then started the song from the beginning and on went the night into glorious, ecstatic PT oblivion.
@Ebbhead Those were fans enjoying themselves. If you want too see noisy fans watch an Aaron Lewis accoustic concert. When the artist has to stop his own show and tell a few of his own fans too STFU that's when you say the crowd is noisy.
