The way i learn to play was saving a perfect play and saving it till completing a clean match on a.i and it helps u alot saving each improvement and always try something better to improve your time aging up and making sure each villager is efficient with the right upgrades

If you don't have your own siege, cavalry is the best and arguably better option. Cavalry you will need to get up close, so if the enemy trebs are under a castle or well defended by enemy Pikemen, siege is a lot safer.

Just double or triple castle elite ballista elephants, with battle elephants for backup, Khmer civilisation
Get market, trade with 10+ carts to get awesome cash flow buy 3000 stone build 8 or 9 castles, walls, guard towers counter units archers with pikeman.
