??um what who
Outside Xtra are we not going to talk about nude gekoside
YOu finish playable Trailer, and what you get is a promise of Silent Hills. It's called a teaser, because Konomi is just teasing you!
BTW, FFXI is still alive and kicking. (Edit > On PC that is.)
(Though Squeenix would most definitely have prefered if all us had moved to XIV instead. XD )
The slapstick humor is great and the girls are cute. Glad I'm subbed to this channel; awesome content that always delivers a good laugh or seven.
I mean the Jeff Goldblum one just hurts. My ego can take a lot of things, but being mocked by Jeff ain't one of them.
I've never played Spiderman 2 but this one was actually hilarious. Why have I never heard of this before? XDXDXD
If you imagine him as the Grandmaster, then it kind of fits lol
@@JameSeraphim Jeff Goldblum didn't play the Grandmaster. The Grandmaster is secretly Jeff Goldblum.

“If at first you don’t succeed, destroy all evidence you ever tried.” -quote from someone-I-don’t-remember-the-name-of.
That first one's a missed opportunity. "You spent so much time thinking you could, you didn't stop to think if you should." Or something to that effect.
You mean this quote? czcams.com/video/KI3Bij1hTS0/video.html
I know it's not quite the same, but Assassin's Creed II felt like it mocked me for getting those damn feathers.
"Oh, you found ALL ONE HUNDRED feathers scattered around Italy? Here's a useless cape that makes everybody hate you..."
Ugh, sorry. It's been on my mind since going back to it after finally playing the original.
That is mentioned in a video as a reward that wasn’t worth it
yes
Gameplay-wise, no the hell it was not worth it. Story-wise... well, let's see. You collected feathers through ass-impossible places to fulfill your family's wish, and you get in reward the honor of your family's cape to adorn versus the world.
Sounds like a worthy reward when he wanted people to know who he was.
Caleb Waters agreed, but it is fun gameplay-wise cause you can go cause all kinds of mayhem then take it off and you’ll be fine. Gray Fox style
That’s better than AC one. Find all the flags and what do you get? Nothing
"there's only one spiderman"
why does that make me laugh?
I mean we've had 8 different actors portray him in live action, 7 different people portray him in cartoons, and in his own reality there are 3 versions of him as clones... oh and the multiverse.
There is also Spider-woman and Silk
Well damn. You sure as fuck know your Spider-Man. Quite profound.

How about Monopoly, where you finally get all the properties and then it ruins Christmas.
Lol
Yeah. God do we hate grandma.
Ghosts ‘n Goblins. You go though hell and back just to complete the game only to be mocked by the villain and forced to play the game all the way through again but on a higher difficulty, if that was even possible.
And having to beat the last stage and final boss with the worst weapon in the game!
Am I only who remembers sly 2s ending credits
"Congratulations you beat the game......now go outside"
I remember.
They do that in Minecraft to
@@elijahkempski2660 no, in minecraft it is wierdo gods talking
Jokes on you game. I was playing this outside all along!
Yeah but that's not the same as making you feel dumb for completing a pointless side mission. You buy games to beat them. Some endings are rewarding others are not. Some ending stories are exciting others tell you to go get a life. So that's not the same as having you collect a million roses just to have the king tell you you did it for nothing but a rose timer.

Omg, I actually remember completing the Spider Man 2 'Hint Marker Search'. I was super excited to actually find them all again to hear what they said. Then when I heard 'Something different...' I kinda just sat there for a few seconds before snickering a bit, finding a few more to be sure, having a bit of a laugh, and then moving on to actually beat the game with my time...
Bruce: "Look I'll have to get back to you later, this might be a while."

Luke: " Weird."
I feel like Bruce Campbell came up with the "Something Different" gag himself and that putting it in the game was a condition in his contract.
He is now in *Dead By Daylight* as Ash! :D

*"Something different."*
😂🤣
Ultimate dad joke.
to quote the immortal words of Homer Simpson, "You tried your best, and you failed miserably. The lesson here is, never try"
It's true. I've watched every video on Outside Xtra and all I have to show for it is a T-shirt that says "Don't Be A Dob"
Honestly, that sounds like the greatest prize of them all.
Classic Dob.
Liar! I see that little purple icon next to your name.
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth/Afterbirth/Afterbirth +
After getting all 402 other achievements you get the last one called 1000000% that is just a picture of a stop sign with the description "Just Stop!"
time for 3,000,000%! lol
I honestly love the Gta one since not only does it give you genuine rewards but it decides to joke around in a way I don't really find too insulting
And the Spider Man 2 one is hilarious too
“Why is Jeff Goldblum on a beach picking on me” I ask myself that every day
Scientists are still working that one out.
Kinda like Until Dawn... if you replay the prologue Dr Hill yells "I TOLD YOU! YOU CAN'T CHANGE WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR"
Who said i was trying to change it! Maybe i wanted to see my sisters die again... oh god I'm a monster.
I love that Ellen is wearing a RoosterTeeth shirt throughout. Like "I just wear this but isn't it a great joke too?!" I'm just sad there was no "reward" for finishing this video...except watching the next one. Much love guys!
Wait another human being actually played and enjoyed "Cool Spot" respect level over 9000
I’m surprised the “click on door 430 five times” achievement in the Stanley parable game isn’t on here.
It's in a different list for top 10 achievements that you wouldn't want or something like that
That one actually felt pretty satisfying to me. The Narrator exalts your efforts and says that the achievement had value specifically because we worked so hard for it. ☺️
@@myrrhfortheroad Are you stupid? You wasted minutes, maybe hours doing this. And a narrator saying "Your a real good puppet", makes you happy?!!
"If at first you don't succeed, give up and do something else."
Works for Capcom
“Something Different.”
And the corollary: "If at first you don't succeed, plagiarize from someone who did!"
My version is "If at first you don't succeed, give up and watch someone else do it... then proceed to tell everyone else you did it..."
The main problem is that this list is about how these games mock you for succeeding so thoroughly. So a more accurate expression would be "If you try too hard to succeed and are mocked for it, rethink your choices in life or games."
"Twee F**king hee!"
I lost it. XD
"Go get a life"

“I tried so hard...and got so far...but in the end...it doesn’t even matter.”
Here's a secret about life
nothing matters, when the sun goes supernova or the universe implodes in on itself, everything you or anybody has ever done will be gone forever, so you might as well have fun however your sense morality allows you to.
*Whispers back* I've put my trust in you pushed as far as i could go for all this theres only one thing you should know....
Also, the Bruce Campbell thing in Spiderman 2 was brilliant. It's the only one I actually completed on this list, and it was fantastic.
Every time I finish a game that shows active contempt for my having played it, it makes me want to track down the developers and "convince" them to find a new career.
i woudlnt go that far, but tbh when i finish a game that does that i normally check if there is an official comment why they did it,.. if its just because they are "being funny".. i normally boycot the company for a while... why should i pay someone to mock me,... my mirror doest that everyday.. for free...
@@Brainreaver79 you Kno that you paid for the mirror right?
@@BappadityaNath yeah but i paid for it 1time 20odd years ago,... so i dont count it as me having to pay for it anymore....
And then you learn that was the company's plan all along. They needed more"volunteers" to experiment on for ideas for the next game.
I remember "Something different" when I first played the game back in the day. Still completely worth it
What about the game of life. That ones always mocking me for trying.
It mocks everyone
I hate that game, with it's pay to win mechanics, bad RNG, and the social integration really urks me. At least it's free to play... I hope, anyway.

One of the COD games did something similar, with a "go outside" achievement for reaching Prestige Level 10.
I'm very happy FFXI was included on this list, and deservedly, however that fishing rod is the best in the game and "unbreakable".... also you can buy the required fish, which are easy to catch even for starting fishermen, from other players.
Dragon Age Inquisition introduced one of the most difficult scavenger hunts in gaming history, in part due to no markers are indications within the game itself. The online community still hasn't fully figured it out. But the reward is finding treasure... Not an item of any kind, a normal enemy that is named Treasure.
