Agree, for me the best part of this track is Haruna's drumming.
"Liar" is a reerangement of "Just a Liar" from Miyako's former band A Drop Of Joker.

This was an awesome reaction from you, because all the things you said about the Band Members. Especially about Miho. I feel the same they not only need a new good Bass player, they also need a Showman(Woman) like she is. Will be very hard to replace.
Also, I like that you mention Haruna so much here, it's also for me the most stand out thing in this Song.

By the Way Lovebites announce the New Bass Player this Friday.
Haruna's signature is the double kick skill and the bell use. She has a unique gallop that is in quite a few songs and this is one. In the first section she does it and is doing it right at your first pause and near the close. Just put it in time context this was 4+ years ago. Drum Nerd pointed out she does some things that Keith Moon used to do with stabs on the vocals. Like you being a bass player I would love to jam with her. She is climbing way up my list of best rock drummers. There is no live version but Dystopia Symphony is a tour de force of hers. Can't imagine where she is going to go with those skills. Their whole last EP Glory to the World gives a hint at their evolution just freaking amazing.
Miho was an amazing person ....a spectacular bassist ....a phenomenal lyricist......an extraordinary composer and a great leader. Will miss her a lot 😢...

But the show must go on and I wish the new bassist the best and hope she ( fingers crossed 🤞) continues with the legacy that Miho left behind.

Looks like Lovebites are finally coming back this week, I don't know if it's just to announce the new bass player or if they'll straight up show us a new single/music video, or maybe both.
Miho seems to be fine and happy, she's still playing, be it solo or with other bands members in a couple projects, so the passion is still there. But I'll indeed miss her in Lovebites.

Sorry for the two logos but that's the only way this concert can be put in CZcams. I wanted people to know that this show exists and some of the songs performed have their best versions in here. Battle in the East was never sold as a standalone, it came together with the Clockwork Immortality album special edition and you can still buy it.

What an awesome song. To think this song wasnt even voted by the fans into their top 20 songs in their pole they used to create the "Best Of 2017-2021" compilation album. Miho will be missed and I'm sure they chose the right bass player. I'm sure seeing David on stage in a white dress would have been a sight to see

Miho's bass gallop's in this song are phenomenal in my opinion. Clearer than in some other songs. Truly gonna miss her just as you say but, it looks like Friday we'll see who the new bass player will be. I'm hoping for another female to keep their uniqueness. We will see. 🤘 ✌

Miho was a phenomenal bassist and I miss her so very very much 😢. Her bass runs , her head banging, her awesome stage presence and her breathtaking lyrics and her badass compositions....is something I will miss forever

Lovebites has video up now, counting for 3 days to go.... indicating that something new and dramatic will happen 21th day of this month. Mostly likely announcement of the new bass player(since trials finished a while ago already), but it has been a while.... so might even be a new Music Video WITH the new bass player. PS. Nice score for Liar, pretty much what I expected. I like the melody of this one. Maybe you could make some kind of "reaction video" about that new Lovebites announcement in their channel? awesome choice bro. less reaction of this song out there. theres one more song of them that never play live or mv, its Puppets On String (i guess), just audio. but its more to hard rock sound. Asami most relaxing voice, no high tones. This song, Haruna put some chaos combat rolling beat hahaha.. but its impressive. She is really something else...👍👍🤘🤘🔥

@@THEDavidHeretic It's the only way....really its a shame that people don't have access to this concert...the post-production is minimal and you can hear every last detail of each instrument...
Sad thing is that Miho and Haruna founded the band and while Miho's bass playing is great and fits the songs to perfection she, in the eyes of many, was overshadowed by the rest. Then again bass is the glue that holds everything together but may not be noticed.
If you were a fan club member there is a Haruna only camera video of Raise Some Hell and more interesting to appreciate Miho there is an "zoom call" video with everyone, Haruna alone, Miho/Haruna alone, Miyako/Midori alone of When Destinies Align. Listening to M&M I come up with one bass line, listening to Haruna alone, another approach but can see where Miho threaded the needle perfectly.
like the 'minefield' analogy. this is the original stage configuration with miyako and midori on the opposite sides than they occupy later on. don't have any idea why they switched but it sure does not mess with their soaring solos and harmonization. just about perfect in every way. one of their more underrated songs with lower views
I think it has to do with placement of the piano - typically you want the piano on the right side of the stage (as the audience sees it) so the upper keys are towards the audience where the melody line is played.

Miho rules. She was probably the most popular member of Destrose and really that whole scene, so everyone was so excited when she announced that she was going to start a new band with Haruna, which was this masterpiece called Lovebites. But lately I've been hearing some newer fans of Lovebites and Japanese music badmouthing Miho, calling her the "weakest link" and saying that the others are writing more technical songs and Miho's not good enough to play them, so she's "bowing out gracefully" and that sort of ridiculous bullshit. Can I say bullshit? Well, I just did.. I'm looking forward to Lovebites' return and I'm sure the new bassist will be awesome, but I'll always be a Miho fan.
So I don't normally "like" or "subscribe" or even comment much on reaction videos, but I have watched many of yours, and today I'm doing all three of those things because I appreciated your comments. Very refreshing to hear after those other idiots.

Wow, 8.7 is way too low in my opinion. There is nothing negative you can say about this song. Everything was just phenomenal - Haruna's drumming was some of her best, you already pointed out Miho's showmanship, the piano intro was supreme, Asami's vocals were also some of her best, this is my favorite guitar solo by Miyako, and Midori's solo at the end was incredible too, even though it was hard to hear in the mix. I see no reason this shouldn't be a 9.5 or better.

A rare reaction to one of Lovebites earlier songs. Even their live playing and song writing ability in the older shows was already fantastic, let alone the complexity of their later songs and live performances of them.
Midori with her dark hair 😍 In these earlier shows you also witness a more animated Miyako, which I prefer to watch as opposed to her statuesque beauty in Lovebites later shows.
