Hey Jem, yeah I'm getting better with the names you'll see in the next vid dropping today :) Agree 100% that travellers often see more of a country than the locals, that's just the way it is sometimes. But Madagascar is soo diverse there is a good reason to travel more domestically and connect with others areas.
Loving this adventure to Madagascar, a country I've always dreamed of but not really seen much about, can I ask if you might be going to see the Grand Tsingy as I saw that on Trover, if your time permits also digging the musical score. 👍

looking at some of that food out in the open air, I was wondering how you cope with eating in the stranger places you visit without getting ill? do you have to be particular about what and where you eat? or have you developed a really strong constitution with all your travelling?
Good question!! I like to think I’ve developed an iron stomach, but really it’s just being cautious and attentive when eating. Go on your ‘gut’ feeling before hand, and read other travelers reviews for destination restaurants, that tends to help a lot.
Can you tell me the name of the hotel that you stayed at in the capital. I could not find it on Mora's website, but I really like the choice of earthy colours whilst you enjoy your morning coffee. Reminds me of Spanish/Portuguese colonial architecture. Have fun out there!
It s relatively safe compared to south america or south africa. You just need to have common sense like not going alone in dark remote place and be aware of pickpocket in tight overcrowed place.
At least learn how to say the name correctly,, It's NOT MadagasKAR,, it's Madagaska. It's NOT Antananarivoo,, It's Tana or as spelt with oh oat the end. You butcher all the names.

Did your driver had any problems with filling up the gas tank, and were the gas stations spread out many miles away from the cities?

Yeah do is the Canadian. It’s well rusty and been replaced with Spanish overtime.

What's wrong if he said antananarivo. Even i come from madagascar i always say antananarivo and not madagasika as you said but madagascar.
