He passed away in his sleep, the most peaceful type of death. Heroes are remembered but legends like him will never die.
In our hearts he lives forever.
Why are you here?!?!?!?
@noponwisdom t you sound angry, and kinda like a anti Sean fan. He was explaining how death by sleep is the most peaceful way to go. Which is a fact because your not awake to know your dying. It's not rocket science let alone any form of disrespect towards the late great Sir Sean Connery. Maybe try not to be so offended by people's opinions instead either pay your respects or buzz off. No one needs drama to make them selves feel better to take away from this tragic loss of life. Grow up.

A humble man who loved his country, took nothing for granted, portrayed sex-appeal without really trying. We’ve seen others play the Bond role, but no one as yet, has surpassed him. YOURE THE MAN NOW DOG
@JONES Really? Did you even watch the movie? Mr. Forrester did not save Jamal; Jamal saved him. (SPOILER ALERT!) Because of Jamal, he ventured into a world that he had turned his back on. Because of Jamal, he found a new desire to start living again (and had you watched the entire movie, you would understand why this matters).
A white savior movie?
Glory? Yes.
Mississippi Burning? Yes.
Forrest Gump? Definitely.
The Long Walk Home? Debatable.
But Finding Forrester? Nope.
It is a great movie, and I think I will watch it this weekend to honor this iconic actor.
R.I.P., Mr. Connery. 😪
@JONES I actually think that Dangerous Minds is a white savior movie. For sure. But I do not think that Hidden Figures is a white savior movie.
The most prominent characteristic of a white savior movie is that the experiences of black people is told through the lens of a white character. The vast majority of Hidden Figures delves into the lives and experiences of the three "human computers," not their white counterparts. After having watched the movie, how much do we really know about the black characters versus the white characters? The answer to this singular question will help you determine whether the movie is a "white savior" movie or not.
If you are referring to the moment many people cite as the most glaring "white savior" moment - (SPOILER ALERT) when Kevin Costner's character knocks down the sign over the bathroom - then you may not understand poetic license. This event did not really happen (and, by the way, Mr. Costner's character was a composite of several real people), but it did represent multiple events that took place over several years which resulted in more (not total, mind you) equality for the black human calculators. Smaller moments encapsulated in one dramatic event.
Besides, just because white people are somewhat prominent in a "black story" does not make it a white savior movie. Just because white people help black people in a movie does not make it a white savior movie. Try watching movies with black and white actors through a lens other than race. Some movies are - explicitly and implicitly - about race. However, other movies are about people who happen to have different skin colors. Discerning the difference between the two will help us to become better film critics instead of people who are looking for race and racism where it doesn't exist.
(Sorry that this post is so long.)
Happy movie watching (and critiquing), all! 😊
@JONES A white savior moment is a moment, not a movie.
By the way, if someone believes that a character has to have the same skin color, gender, or sexual orientation in order for the audience to relate to the character, then that person should examine his or her motives in their storytelling (and their hearts for prejudicial beliefs).
