No matter how un-eco friendly she would appear now, losing her from the skies is a travesty. Concorde was beautiful and everybody knew it by sight & sound - I miss seeing her over my home daily plying the routes across the pond! A true Anglo-French miracle
Concorde was the only plane that could stir such memories and feelings. Such an awesome beautiful flying bird. It flew overhead once when I was travelling near London Heathrow. The sound and power shook the car. Such a tragedy they put this plane out of service. Years ahead of its time . Even now 2022 I still marvel at this beautiful and majestic plane...
During the construction of the M25 (yes there was a time when that traffic was somewhere else) our site offices were near the end of the Heathrow runway. We used to pause the meeting to watch it head off to New York. Noise wasn’t an issue, it seemed no louder than the other jet aircraft. It was just the sheer grace and beauty that stopped our work for a few seconds before we returned to discussing mud and concrete. Concorde is sadly missed.
Respect to all those who designed and built this thrillingly beautiful and powerful flying machine. You can sense the power as it is awaiting clearance for take off. Moving footage.
I remember when that thing came in. We were shopping in Stevenage with Mum and Dad and suddenly the whole town came to a standstill. This beautiful sleek noisy m.f. flew over. Fantastic.
Wow. It's so elegant and beautiful, then it unleashes such awesome power, like a fine race horse. It's a shame that we didn't keep at least one of these magnificent machines flying.
GREAT finding this brilliant video, especially as I was one of the passengers! Landed in LHR after a quick flight up around the Outer Hebrides. Coached back to Luton. This was my first Concorde flight (of four) and a treasured memory. I believe we did a slow fly past after take-off for the benefit of the gathered supersonic fans.
In my mind this was the sadest thing happening in flight history. Would have loved to see it flying in our skies for ever, a great honour for England/France developement.
The most beautiful aircraft in the world, gives you shivers watching her race along the runway and then soar high into the heavens like an Angel going home.
As a girl it was my dream when I grow up once in my life to fly with the majestic and beautiful Concorde. Unfortunately it was to late. At least I had the chance to visit and get inside the Concorde at the Technology Museum Sinsheim. I was fascinated , overwhelmed and sad at the same time. What a feeling.
Had one fly over our old house once when it was in service, it wasn’t particularly high either and it made the entire house shake! Now it was still high enough, we aren’t talking tree top skimming here! Awesome power... I’ll never forget that. Shame it was scrapped.
The speed at which it gets up to take off speed is obviously faster than a regular jet. You can almost see the speed surges happening every few seconds. What a fascinating piece of machinery!

The most beautiful plane ever build. Thanks for posting. :-)

I saw Concorde perform at an airshow and it was far and away the loudest thing I ever heard in my life.

As an Aussie only saw the Concorde once. Driving into Heathrow, and it took off directly ahead of and over us. A truly memorable sight.

Beautiful footage, thank you! What a gorgeous bird she was ❤️
I was so fortunate to make the trip for New York and London and back. What a wonderful experience and one I’ll never forget.
The most beautiful plane in the fleet and a plane truly missed. R.I.P. Concorde
