Thanks For Watching - Zábava
I have been returning 2 weeks ago to "Le bourget museum" to see the 2 Concordes.
Walking under the white fuselage, watching the 4 engines and the landing gear, i finished my trip by the passengers cabin, i stopped closed to the cockpit, whose access is closed by a glass window.
There are a lots of details of the technology used at this time.
I was asking to myself: "how was is it possible for 2 french and english R&D teams to create a so sensual and beautifull plane by the years 60 and flying at mach 2?".
Is it passion, transcended by the challenge?
They didn't had the same power of computing like now.
The legacy of Concorde is huge.
congratulationq for ever.
A former french air force.
Concorde was my first love. Just before my 8th birthday. My dad took me to Heathrow. At first I had no interest until 20 minutes later when Concorde appears. I didn't even cover my ears It was almost like she hypnotised me. That was my dream. To be a pilot and fly Concorde. Then 8 years later. I had the pleasure of a Grand stand seat to watch the final 3 landings at Heathrow. A unique but a very sad day. My dream was never going to be. Nothing will ever replace her. I owe my passion to aviation thanks to Concorde. She still is greatly missed 20 years on.
Concorde : un nom de paix , d'un travail en commun où chacun a donné le meilleur pour créer un avion d'une élégance folle . Une merveille volante digne de Léonard de Vinci.
The only time I ever saw Concorde in a non airshow environment, I was laid on a beach in Dorset on a hot sunny day. I heard a "BOOM-BOOM" and thought it was thunder. I looked up, there was not a single cloud in the sky. Then out the corner of my eye I spotted a vapour trail rapidly approaching from the west heading in the direction of London. Right at the tip of this trail was a sleek white arrow, it was CONCORDE! I would guess she was at maybe 20,000ft. I discovered that when arriving from New York, they would have to start their landing profile while over Cornwall! I will never forget seeing or hearing Concorde that day.
The single most beautiful airliner ever built.
This tears me up evertime I watch this tribute, it really does.
The Concorde was one of the worlds most magnificent machines ever created by mankind and now she is nothing but a distant memory.
Truly heart breaking....
🙏❤️✈️🥲

I can absolutely relate. As someone who watched G-BOAF land for the last time at Filton, see her bowing to her admiring crowds then turn away and become dormant for all time, (shutting down with some emotive music played) it was a very emotional moment for everyone, even the announcer on the tannoy cracked up... riding back to Southampton after on the train more tears flowed. It was sort of like the end of an inspiring part of my childhood, but much more, a symbol of British pride.
"tears you up" "heartbreaking"???? People really need to expand their vocabularies because if this true, you need meds, grow up.
@Pullisto Thank you for sharing that, and this shows that you have a genuine appreciation for The Concorde.
Never have I been emotional about an aircraft, but Concorde always took my breath away. Legends never die!!
Same, she was beautiful.
That is the the most true sentence I’ve ever heard 😊
I could not have said it better. What a machine!!!!😊
Yes
Same here ❤
"The whole airport at Heathrow has come to a halt for these 3 Concordes". Total respect for an aircraft that changed the aviation world. There will never be another commercial masterpiece like the glorious Concorde. It was beauty on another level, majestic in flight and frankly jaw dropping. So sad that elegant swan is no longer flying the skies where she belongs. Enjoy your retirement, Queen Concorde. Best Tribute I've seen of this remarkable aircraft.

What a great piece of engineering. I have to say that 1960-2000 where great time for engineering, for human beings, for hope and dreams. People with ther wisdom, hope, dreams changed a word completely.
During those 40 years humans made such a things as: Sputnik, Soyuz, Saturn V, Apollo Lunar Module, ISS, Space shuttle, SR-71, Concorde, XB-70, F117, B2, RAH-66, aircraft carriers, McLaren F1, Lamborghini Diablo, Ferrari F40, a whole bunch of scyscrapers where built. From 2000-2020 we invented mainly communications an IT in general. We live in such a boring days now: We just proposed Amazon, CZcams, Tiktok, Instagram. People do not meet each other anymore, they do not visit the family, cars are getting the engines from lawn movers, smartphones took over our lifes, shortly sex will be provided by robots...what a sad times :(
Back in a days machines were more powerful, louder, faster and dangerous...now not only aircrafts have to be quite, more fuel eficient, more enviormental friendly, and cheap. Pushing the limits, dreaming big, making immposible is replaced by being safe and... sad :(
Bit like the song 2525 by zaegar and evans
The most graceful, beautiful and truly classy lady of the skies, ever. Easily 30-40 years ahead of her time, what a tribute to English and French engineering. Imagine, if one strip of metal hadn't fallen from another aircraft at CDG, would we still be seeing her Grace flying to this day? I don't see why not.
Goosebumps all over the body. She symbolized so much. Pride, Beauty, Power - Queen of the sky!
King? Because the boeing 747 is the queen of the skys
@@CSXrailfanAndNS lets just class them as both kings and queens concorde is the queen of speed and the 747 is king of size
the ACE of the skies..the Queen is the Boeing 747
The most powerful elegant "flamingo" in the sky....Love Concorde....🙏👍👍👍😍😍😍
She was like a white swan. She was the most beautiful TIME-MACHINE we will ever known ,, transporting people with 2179km/h or 660 metres per sec , planned and built in EUROPE !! She was like an european spaceship :) If the B_MODEL had been materialized in 1979 ( Olymp Mk 610+25% ,, droop wing leading edge,, no reheat,, add compress-stage and turbine,, add-noise shielding) ,, she might would fly still today , supersonic travel might be complete different , and all slightly faster than a '308 bullet !! cutting edge ! Thank you for sharing
The most beautiful object mankind has ever made.
The best definition I ever saw for Concorde

I agree
you very obvously haven'nt seen the plans tot he Boing 2707....it is ridiciulously beautiful

The most beautiful and amazing plane.
To me, Concorde is the closest that man made engineering has ever come to purest poetry.
your words of truth almost made me cry
@@contemporaryspectrumoperat9080qqqqqqqqqqqqQQ🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩
Whole heartedly agree... one of the only times where technology equates to sheer beauty. The new supersonic aircraft manufacturers can make contenders, but they won’t beat this.
My Grandmother travels in the Air France Concord from Mexico City to France and they give her a Certificade of flight that I proudly have, on it said that she traspass the sound barrier :)
Engineered to be the best. Flew above the rest.
Concorde. The most beautiful bird I’ve ever seen. LEGEND
@Zephaniah Cutler Aerion has just decided to pull the plug on the project. I guess that leaves us with only Boom Supersonic.
@Zephaniah Cutler that’s what it looks like. They won’t be coming back.
Just mount missile and gun machines it will screw bunch of hornet and mig
What a personality only craft with an spot on attitude
I saw this spectacular aircraft fly between 1977 and 1980, here in Brazil. It was mesmerizing to see the Concord in the skies. It marked my childhood.
I have been crying all the way through this video. My father worked for BA at Heathrow. I was very young and he used to tell me, excitedly, how truly amazing it was to break the sound barrier. Now I just learned there are hypersonic aircraft ! I had to look it up! Thought about what dad would think...
And the tears were also in awe of the sheer grace of Concord, like a Swan.
🙏❤️✈️
Concorde has such a special place in my heart. If i had a girlfriend i would love her more but as it stands, Concorde is the closest thing to love in my heart. There is just something about how it moves in the sky and how gracefully it lifts off and lands and flies, and what makes me cry quite often when i watch these videos, including now, is seeing the last touch down, knowing it will never fly again and knowing i will never have seen it move or fly in real life. A beautiful bird locked away. In french its nickname was "le bel oiseau blanc" translated, that means the beautiful white bird. I believe in english it was either something with a swan, and the queen of the skies. To me Concorde is the real queen of the skies, not the 747.
Magnificent tribute to the optimism of the 1960s. 1969 first flight of Concorde and Moon Landing.
First flight across the Atlantic 1973, First Commercial flight 1976.
In July 1979 a month after my 26th birthday I was privileged to fly higher than many fighter jets at 58,000 ft and Mach 2.02 sipping champagne, London to New York in 3 hrs 23 mins. Left London at 11 am arrived New York 9.30 am.
If you flew westerly after sunset you could experience sunrise in the west as you are flying faster than the rotation of the earth.
At the time it was a bargain at 15% above First Class. In 1980 it was 50% above and by 1982 it was double..
I paid half and my company paid half.
If i could ever go back in time....a flight on this magnificent aircraft would definitely be on my bucket list.
Concorde you will always be in our hearts😔
She never dies 😔
She wos the queen of the skies i shall never for get grace and beauty she's a legend.
I am in tears every time I see her no one can beat her ❤❤❤
إنها طائرة رائعة . . سلام على كل من أسهم في صنع هذه الجوهرة . . ستبقى في الذاكرة أبدا . .
Crazy that a piece of metal left on the runway could finish this magnificent machine's life. One crash in 27 years not of it's making.
Absolutely!
++Roger Shirley++ We took a 100 year backward step when, thanks to the yanks envy, deliberate sabotage and obstructionism we did not go on developing this aircraft.
It wasn’t just the crash of one concorde that ended this aircraft. The economy along with airbus and Boeing companies is what ended this aircraft. It’s too expensive to operate.
Your right it was from a DC-10 that should have been grounded for non compliance with maintenance
@@riickyworld1 B.A STATED ,THAT THEIR CONCORDE SERVICE , CREATED 25% NET, OF ALL THEIR PROFFITS. AIR FRANCE, WERE LOSING MONEY, AND COULDN'T AFFORD ALL THE NEW UPDATES AND SERVICING PROCEDURES. THEY HAD BOTH, SIGNED A CONTRACT, YEARS BEFORE, AGREEING, THAT SHOULD ONE AIRLINE CEASE THEIR CONCORDE SERVICE, THE OTHER WOULD TOO.
Concorde was a masterpiece that will never be forgotten in the history of aviation. At least not for the near future.
Yes Sir!
never be fogotten..thats a done deal
The rest is silence
I miss seeing her fly. I have friends and family there in NY that use to always talk about see her take off and land.
Flew on Concorde twice back from NYC. Spectacular
It was a sad time when Concorde stopped flying. A time when mankind took a step backwards. Such a beautiful aeroplane, its like will never be seen again.
Environmentalists… that and noise complaints.
with nowadays advancements in tech , this should be possible and even better
we went back to the dark ages...they put the lights out
This was and still is the absolute pinnacle of commercial flight. Above everything else, in a league of its own. An utterly perfect symphony of engineering and design, and a true testament of what can be achieved when nations put their minds together for one common purpose - an aircraft that cruised faster than Earth spins.
Long Live The Concorde.
Concorde the most beautiful and majestic air liner to ever take to the skies, It's a crying shame that we will never see it fly again.
Miss you Concorde 😥
Most beautiful plane ever!
.. YEP ..
La création volante la plus belle que l'homme ait faite... Le Concorde une prodigieuse créature... Merveilleuse collaboration franco britannique! Comment ne pas regretter la passion de cette époque?
She s an old lovley lady !!!She s so elegant !!! I ll miss u .....bye❤️❤️🖤🖤💔
True queen of sky!!!!
The must beautifull airplan that ever been in the World
I have memories of commuting home along the A41 corridor and watching Concorde in all her glory, landing bogies deployed, in that nose up tail down final approach configuration, 4 x Rolls Royce Olympus engines screaming blue murder as they powered her to her daily late afternoon landing at Heathrow airport.
You always heard her long before you saw her. On weekends with the wind blowing in the right direction, you could hear her going to full thrust all the way from distant Wembley, West London, as she roared down the runway miles away at Heathrow, climbed into the skies and gracefully banked onto the appropriate heading for New York with her afterburners lit up.
I miss that aircraft.
Que hermoso aparato, no hay nada igual en la aviación comercial. El sueño del hombre de volar.... hecho realidad.
humanity will forever remember the concorde
I wish this beautiful timeline comes back. The future is pathetic. 😭😭
The most graceful airplane I've ever seen
What a wonderful bird...
Today we had a family experience at Brooklands Museum in London as a Birthday treat for my 9 years old son. I can tell you the words of this song made me feel a little part of the greatness of them people, passion, work and love that they put in their dreams! I will never look the same at a Concorde! All thanks to the brightness and curiosity of my son! ❤
Human being will miss you Concorde
This beauty was the real queen of the skies!
The queen of the sky is the 747. Concorde is the goddess of the sky.
absolutly....Beauty Queen of the skies!
What a BEAUTIFUL machine! Never forgotten.
So incredibly grateful to have flown on Concorde. An experience I shall never forget 😍🥂
You lucky ba.... 😉

@@supersonic1246 very much so 😬
@Christopher Pires ... sadly, it’s a little too late 😕
I flew twice on an Air France Concord with my father. The memory is as fresh as the day. A stunning a/c that should be still flying. Flying supersonic at 60,000ft was one of my life’s highlights. Closest to space I will probably get.
I'm not crying, a Concorde got stuck in my eye.....
Alan Cogan not funny, that’s kinda disrespectful to the dead of that flight.
Suprême privilège d'être pilote de CONCORDE !.
Has anyone here ever had the honour of flying in one of these incredible planes? I wish I could have had the honour but I have flown in a 747 2 times. That was an experience all on its own. I love flying. I think I should come back in another life as a pilot. lol lol Thank you for posting this tribute..
Crazy to think seeing this in the skies was a normal childhood memory, now there’s future generations who won’t know her grace and magnificence. What a miss she is, the Queen of the skies.
Its the most beautiful , elegant Bird , made ever.
Why am I shedding tears 😟😣😭
I did too
concord shows what this country was once capable of and how the world looked on in awe, dignity, beauty and power, how did and could we loose so much.
A great prodigy of human intelligence! .......... A great tragedy! ............... In this earthly life everything will one day fail, ..... ....... even the heart that beats inside your chest!
Depuis tout petit j'aime beaucoup Le Concorde parce que moi j'aime trop
Looks like an eagle coming from outer space... Unique in every way! They built it 50 years ago and still unbeatable!
Masterful craftmanship Way ahead of its time. What a beautiful aircraft.
What a beautiful sight to behold!! Brings tears to my eyes everytime!! Spectacular!! 😪♥️♥️♥️
Technology and Style ...never ending ...The Great Concorde
Seeing her coming into land she looked like a graceful swan, i remember hearing this almighty sound many years ago, and i said to myself i bet that's Concorde, and she was still miles away, a few minutes later she flew over me and very low. God what a sight, I'll never forget that.
Wow, I realy love ❤️ this song 🎵 that they put for this beautiful human machine made, such perfect song. Concorde lives for ever !!!
I never had the opportunity to fly in her, but the stories I hear about her makes me emotional. Hopefully we will see you return to the skies in the future 😢
I remember walking back to my brother’s house near Clapham Common and I looked up to see Concorde overhead, so close I felt I could touch her. That magnificent sight will be forever imprinted on my memory and this creation was when mankind rivalled the beauty of nature.
Ilovedyousomuch🇲🇨🇸🇬🕋🏎️💋🤝
Boeing 747 is the queen of the skies. Concorde was of a whole different level! I'd call Concorde the empress of the skies! Elegant, sleek, fast, beautiful design, and the roar of those engines was unique.
I saw the Concorde starting in London,my dream was always to fly with her 😊😢what a Beauty.

The Plane - l'Avion, so beautiful, thanks for share from Toulouse 🇫🇷
I remember seeing the first Concorde parked at Orly a few weeks after her maiden flight in 1969. Still have the photo I took.
Since that day, Air travel was not as safe.
This plane was the safest and will always be the safest & Fastest.
Dedication from the developers and manufacturers.
Most Elegant & Beautiful Plane to ever been on this world
Im so sad that it will never fly again. and that i couldnt fly it becouse i was too young.
We love this plane like no other!
What a Legendary Plane !! Should have never stopped it !!
Your right but because of the accident with one of a concorde they decide to stop
Absolutely
@@josiannebernard4809 The plane wasn't making any profit so when that accident happened, that was the excuse they needed to shut it down.
That's true .. ! Time-Machine and Speed-Liner in Union ... :) She brought cities together , brought folks closer . She's like a white swan . She's just .... A DREAM
There would be many reasons.... We are common people and would never know enterprise decision making
I never knew I could be so emotional for a plane, but deeply saddened by it's retirement and the fact I'll never ride in her...the Concorde should be flying today, still looks like she's not aged a day.so disappointing and sad.😢💗♌
@Scott Wakefield TRUE ENOUGH...she was emotions in the highest regards for a manmade device that was ahead of her time, and greatly missed by past generations and the future generations..😢♌
I know how you feel. Being present to see the last ever Concorde landing at Filton had everyone in tears, self included.
I hope they bring it back, with today's technology, this beatiful air plane, is way ahead of our time, it would bring more jobs, and more avietion career opportunities, it would a dream come true all over again.Concorde realy Rocks, nothing like it !!!
It would actually remove a few jobs. Knowing it can fly at supersonic speeds, it reduces flight time and thus staff needed. It's still a dream to have it back though
Majestic, come lovely bird.

Super sad to see living legends go! Some time ago, the legendary Concorde (still my favourite plane), the only passenger airline to reach 60,000ft whilst travelling at 2X the speed of sound and now the legendary A380, the largest passenger aircraft to ever take to the skies. Hope to see them or another, better version of them come alive in the near future. RIP legends.
Chithmina Weliamuna defiantly man such a shame !! feels like we went backwards in time when they took away supersonic flight from the public , like you said I hope they create the new Concorde soon !! If you get the chance and your in Uk def go to Bristol Filton Concorde museum was amazing to see it !! All the best ✈️👍
that would be fantastic ...
Boom overture is coming so we have hope!!!
I feel so damn lucky to have worked on the Concorde - as a young engineer at BAe Fulton, Bristol, UK ! There won't be another for a LONG time !
You should be very proud of that...

An amazing piece of engineering for its time. No computer aided design, all build calculations done old school and yet what a fantastic machine. I do miss seeing this fantastic bird in the skies. I don’t think we will ever experience similar again.
Sounds good , but not complete right . Was the first aircraft with FADEC ( computer aided flying ) , specially the ramp-inlet-control at supersonic cycles ... :)
