I think he was just like me, expecting BW3. Also because Jotho has a Japanese theme, that city in the trailer make us think, “its more western so its Unova”. Nobody predicted Gen 6, I even saw the tower, heard the retro french music in the beginning and yet did not expected that until they mention Lumionose city. I’m actually excited. This is a welcome game but I’m very confuse. Jotho and Unova stocks were so high, I did not expected this. I will order this game as soon as it on the market but…yeah I’m still confused, I was expecting Jotho or Unova, especially with all the Jotho hinting through the whole presents!
In hindsight, all the Kalos Pokemon being shown as well as the people sitting outside of a cafe should’ve made it pretty obvious, but at the same time, no one was expecting generation 6 to be revisited in any way

Just because they didn't announce it yet, doesn't mean they're skipping the whole year. Remember back in the day, sometimes they would announce the games later in the year like in May. This could very well be a move to keep us speculating and guessing, raising the hype level.

I’ve seen people saying this looks more futuristic. But, I think the game is still in the past since the signs mentioning a redevelopment plan are in a more legends arceus format. So, the futuristic look I think is what the towns people of lumiose town are envisioning what lumiose city will looks like. As the sign states they envision a place of coexistence between people and Pokémon, the exact thing we see in the more futuristic portion of the trailer. Which is why at the end we see lumiose on a sign as it shows their plan to make this big city. But, who knows we’ll have to see in 2025!
Exactly, it’s literally the blueprint for the city as we know it in XY. People just see it go 3D and say futuristic without looking at the actual context of what’s happening in the trailer. It starts and ends with the sketch of the city.

I think I understand the concept of the name and what to expect. 'Z - A', correct me if I'm wrong but the Z seems to be more futuristically designed while the A more from the past. Maybe the game has to do with creating 2 different story lines that involve the past and the present (being the future) & Zygarde is probably the pokemon that can make you go to both timelines. Mega evolutions were my favorite new mechanic in my teens and I'm super excited to finally see them back, in the style of the most innovative Pokemon game series to date! I have a theory that since mega evolution might be returning we may also see battle bond greninja but also battle bonds for the other starters as well because in the anime prof sycamore had found an ancient text about the bond phenomenon and I’m assuming that the text was written during this time
My theory: “Z-A” refers to last to first, or in this case, future to the past. We’re gonna start in modern day (future) Lumiose City which will act as the central hub for the game (like Jubilife Village was in PLA). From there we will be given the ability to time travel back to the past (probably by a professor) to possibly learn about the events leading up to the War and dive deep into AZ’s backstory.

I teared up when I saw the trailer for Pokemon Legends Z. Pokemon X and Y are two of my favorite Pokemon games. And that fact that Mega Evolution is coming back...God give me strength to wait until next year. Kalos is finally getting the attention it deserves.
This legends gave a me city planning urbanization plan? It could be either: 1. A few years in the future to redevelop Kalos 2. A small Lumionose city trying to make the current Lumionose city a few decades back 3. A plot of land where you help make the first establishment of Luminose city and make it into a small city and later a pre-current Lumionose city, where you actually age (The least possible). Point been it feels like you may help with the building of something?
There's literally so much to look into for the future of Kalos, like what old starters will they have or will it have completely new ones, will the original starters have their own mega evolutions (which I'm a bit concerned because I've seen some cool fanart of Mega Starters and have some of my own in my head, just can't draw at all), who's still around after growing up, etc. It's just a whole can of worms that I can't fit here all at once.
I saw like 7 kalos mons before any other mon (other than pikachu) that screamed kalos to me, aegislash and sylveon, 2 fan favorites of kalos. then PRISM FREAKING TOWER! that sealed kalos. I started gasping when I realized there was a very good chance it was kalos, then just screaming when prism tower. I LOVE kalos, the games were fun and the anime was the best the series has ever been and there's so many unanswered questions like what's in south kalos? why is zygarde chilling in a cave even after you catch the legendary, stop flare, and everything's good again? what's behind the other power plant doors? what's the deal with diancie, hoopa, volcanion, and the mega latis that never came out? pick any 1 or 2 of those, a little more kalos, a few more megas, and you got a game right there.

The first time they skip a pokemon game for a year. They did it because they want it to premiere on the new Switch that will be announced in 2025.

I know that the Ultimate Weapon wasn't in Lumiose City, but they layout of the city in the picture with the tower in the middle reads FMAB craziness.

My theory: “Z-A” refers to last to first, or in this case, future to the past. We’re gonna start in modern day (future) Lumiose City which will act as the central hub for the game (like Jubilife Village was in PLA). From there we will be given the ability to time travel back to the past (probably by a professor) to possibly learn about the events leading up to the War and dive deep into AZ’s backstory.
😂 I don’t know how to explain it but we should’ve seen GameFreak throw something like this at us (considering all the curveballs they’ve thrown at us before) but at the same time, no one of us could have predicted this lol

Its 10 years later than we expected but we're finally getting Pokemon Z!!!!

There is totally main series content this year, I feel like a game would've been announced today, so a second S/V DLC could totally be on the way, but I wouldn't rule out ILCA Johto/Unova.

I know when it starts, it's right after the kalos war when AZ ended the war with his weapon thing, the story with the floette, it's right after the war ended, hence why it says lumiose city redevelopment plan, it needs to be rebuilt because of the war

I teared up when I saw the trailer for Pokemon Legends Z. Pokemon X and Y are two of my favorite Pokemon games. And that fact that Mega Evolution is coming back...God give me strength to wait until next year. Kalos is finally getting the attention it deserves.
This legends gave a me city planning urbanization plan?
It could be either:
1. A few years in the future to redevelop Kalos
2. A small Lumionose city trying to make the current Lumionose city a few decades back
3. A plot of land where you help make the first establishment of Luminose city and make it into a small city and later a pre-current Lumionose city, where you actually age (The least possible).
Point been it feels like you may help with the building of something?
Currently running with the theory it is a post-war Lumiose city that both needs to physically rebuild and rebuild the relationship with Pokémon

We’ve waited 10 years for Pokémon Z, and now it’s finally happening!
There's literally so much to look into for the future of Kalos, like what old starters will they have or will it have completely new ones, will the original starters have their own mega evolutions (which I'm a bit concerned because I've seen some cool fanart of Mega Starters and have some of my own in my head, just can't draw at all), who's still around after growing up, etc. It's just a whole can of worms that I can't fit here all at once.
I saw like 7 kalos mons before any other mon (other than pikachu) that screamed kalos to me, aegislash and sylveon, 2 fan favorites of kalos. then PRISM FREAKING TOWER! that sealed kalos.
I started gasping when I realized there was a very good chance it was kalos, then just screaming when prism tower.
I LOVE kalos, the games were fun and the anime was the best the series has ever been
and there's so many unanswered questions like what's in south kalos? why is zygarde chilling in a cave even after you catch the legendary, stop flare, and everything's good again? what's behind the other power plant doors? what's the deal with diancie, hoopa, volcanion, and the mega latis that never came out? pick any 1 or 2 of those, a little more kalos, a few more megas, and you got a game right there.
