@pierceliu9914 actually Brandon is taking the most shots per game. It appears that CJ has tired legs so having the luxury of playing fewer minutes against bad teams may help. Let's hope for some blowouts wins against the likes of the Spurs, Trailblazers, Pistons, etc. They are going to need his 3 points shooting in the playoffs. Oh, and the Pels lead the Association in wins of 20 points or more with 15.

I personally believe that they started decided not to cover us when we traded Anthony Davis and acquired Zion Williamson. They have been flat out ignoring us and if they not ignoring us,, they giving us negative coverage about Zion. They make no mention to Herb Jones or Brandon Ingram
The thing is they were hyping Zion during the end of his first season, and his second season. When he started missing games is when they stopped the Zion/pelicans push. Ingram is great and McCollum is solid, but respectfully, that’s not enough for the NBA to push the pelicans. Zion is getting back to himself and playing well, if he snaps again next year they’ll start pushing him again. It’s just how media works. 🤷🏿♂️
As a Pels fan, our main concerns are staying consistent and to not blow leads. Too many times this season the team flops under pressure. I understand a few times, but not winning a single close game is horrible. I’m happy with our depth and our players. Willie needs to be better though, there are times where his lineups completely ruin momentum or completely ruin the confidence in the players. I don’t understand why he isn’t good in the clutch, granted our players aren’t really either, if we can get a Trea Young or a player that is clutch, it would immediately improve our team. Zion and BI have the potential to be that, but to many times they begin to be passive. Overall, so happy with the team and hopefully we make a deep playoff run. If they can fix those annoying issues, we will be contenders.

This team has one of the best net ratings because they have the ability to demolish any team but as you say they cannot handle pressure to not blow leads and win clutch games. It is a big crime that Lakers AD was selected to this year NBA All Star instead of big men like Zion, Ingram and Sabonis even though Lakers was 9th and the other teams are 5th or 6th. Jamal Murray should have been there as well. All the best to Pelicans, Kings in the playoffs.
I’m just starting to follow the NBA and I was searching for a franchise to support and I decided it will be the New Orleans Pelicans since the game against the pacers. Our team is young and talented it was the best choice I could make

I'm a Dallas fan, but I agree that the Pelicans are an extremely dangerous team. Like Dallas might have the two best players between them and the Pelicans, but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th best players for the Pelicans are much better than what Dallas has in those roles. I don't understand why New Orleans isn't more consistent, but when they play up to their capabilities they have the potential to win against any opponent.

Pels have identified and developed young talent beautifully. Fred Vincent isnt getting the headlines he did with Lonzo but he's still in the building folks.
The Pelicans' recent defensive improvement also came from Zion and BI buying in on that end. Zion especially has started making weakside blocks routinely along with getting in passing lanes for steals. He had 5 stocks in his last game to show for his better effort
You can also thank Fred Vinson with that herb improvement. Guy fixes Lonzo's broken shotform and now doing it with herb, hoping that they are paying him enough to stay.

Jonas Valencunias being weak at rim protection and not very athletic is this team’s weakness. He can’t run to the rim off pick and rolls and catch allys from Zion when he gets a quick size mismatch. He’s the weak link of this team.
I watched every game played by the Pels this season & 2 things concern me. 1. The team occasionally goes through periods of a game (usually in crunch time) where they can't score in their half court offense. This is especially through against physical defensive teams. 2. When his lack of foot speed & agility, teams will put Jonas V. in pick & role hell.
Herb is definitely our third best player. An improved shooter with the ability of being a connected passer, handling the ball, and getting to the rack. And I’ve never seen a player that dominant and exiting to watch on defense. He’s literally everywhere!

BI dribbles, dribbles and dribbles. He is a great tough shots maker but he was a difficult teammate at times because he needs the ball. It was obvious during last Summer USA team, he was a starter but his style of playing did not work with other starters. Eventually Steve Kerr put BI to the bench and let him having the ball.
I still wanna move CJ to 6th man and run herb, BI, Trey, Zion, JV to start. Let CJ get his shots up with the bench and stabilize that group/run the offense. Z and BI can run the point just fine. This isn't our year but next 2-3 we have a real window
