Dude.. Different characters played by the same actors. Also season 2 took place in 1964, 12 years after the events of freak show. Pepper was committed to briarcliff in the early 60's.
I can understand why people would dislike this season it wasn't you're typical horror junkie cheese film like some of the past seasons. It was a genuine gut wrenching gritty drama with some of the most imperfect yet identifiable characters I have seen in any show. Sure there were probably too many arcs to follow and many probable drew on for far too long but it gave us an deep insight into the characters and there transformations throughout the show. I think this is why it was such a hard and sometimes uncomfortable watch. The emotional roller coaster it took you on felt like you were with them the whole way .... especially that Pepper scene !!!

(When you watch that episode, you'll get why it's soo touching). The freaks get revenge after discovering Elsa Mars' partnership with the scientists who kept killing them to sell their deformities. Elsa runs away to fulfil her dream of becoming famous again. And oh man ... as if they've not suffered enough, they all get murdered by Dandy, that rich ass psycho... only three of the freaks survive tho. And I hope this isn't spoiling too much but.. Dandy dies in the end too... (as well as Elsa omg I'm so sorry)

As sad as this season was, everybody got their happy ending... except for Pepper. She was unjustly locked up in Briarcliff to live out the rest of her days... It's so unfair, and when I think about it I just have to keep telling myself that it's just a show...
+Jared Steege Still, I really loved how Pepper had a lot of her back story in episode 10. Even though she didn't have a good ending like the others, she still had friends even made new ones at Briarcliff before she passed away. So with her ending, I guess you can say it was very bitter sweet.

Far and away the most well written season. Particularly the first half. Possibly the best season premier of any show ever. And this haunting version of life on mars just went so perfectly with the theme of the season.

One of the most brilliant and beautiful displays of the human condition, Frailty, and darkness since murder house and Asylum those three seasons are absolutely brilliant and will probably never be duplicated again thank you for the darkness and beauty more people should explore those more often and gain a greater understanding of who and what we are. Hotel deserves an honorable mention for its brilliant storylines and individual characters.

Best season for me is definitely Asylum. Unlike almost everybody i liked everything about that season. But Freakshow really comes close. Then probably Murder House would be my next favorite. I hope Jessica Lange comes back and future seasons are just as awesome and chilling and badass as before. 🎃

As sad as this season was, everybody got their happy ending... except for Pepper. She was unjustly locked up in Briarcliff to live out the rest of her days... It's so unfair, and when I think about it I just have to keep telling myself that it's just a show...
+Jared Steege Still, I really loved how Pepper had a lot of her back story in episode 10. Even though she didn't have a good ending like the others, she still had friends even made new ones at Briarcliff before she passed away. So with her ending, I guess you can say it was very bitter sweet.

Far and away the most well written season. Particularly the first half. Possibly the best season premier of any show ever. And this haunting version of life on mars just went so perfectly with the theme of the season.
Aaron Roberts not the best season premiere. AHS is good, but way above great shows such as Mr Robot, Breaking Bad, The Leftovers, etc.

One of the most brilliant and beautiful displays of the human condition, Frailty, and darkness since murder house and Asylum those three seasons are absolutely brilliant and will probably never be duplicated again thank you for the darkness and beauty more people should explore those more often and gain a greater understanding of who and what we are. Hotel deserves an honorable mention for its brilliant storylines and individual characters.

Best season for me is definitely Asylum. Unlike almost everybody i liked everything about that season. But Freakshow really comes close. Then probably Murder House would be my next favorite. I hope Jessica Lange comes back and future seasons are just as awesome and chilling and badass as before. 🎃
