You could almost throw Arteta's first 18 months away in terms of judging him as a manager. Once he actually was able to have a proper summer transfer window and start training with his squad, results turned positive very quickly and the squad overhaul was extremely rapid. ETH has done very little by comparison. I thought he would overhaul the squad. He hasn';t.

Back when Arteta took over, Arsenal were still in Wenger mold of being very strict on how much they could spend.
Ten Hag however was able to spend 100 mill on Anthony, buy Martinez, Casemiro...all while having the like of Varane, Ronaldo, Sancho, etc at his disposal
