Your face will get stuck that way and the cold chills will never fade. The chunks and Austin Carlisles vocals are second to none.
Another band to consider for these videos would be Dystopia. Almost anything by Dystopia is very mean sounding but to name a few songs: Sanctity, Ruptured Silence, Hands that Mold, Slaved Chains

I think two riffs that sound meaner than hell would probably be the main/chorus riff of Prison Song by System Of A Down, and the first 3 verse riffs of Flattening Of Emotions by Death personally, would love to see it.
We Hate You - Electric Wizard has got some seriously gnarly riffs! I think the intro to The Face Of Oblivion - High On Fire is maybe the nastiest riff ever concocted though.

I believe it may have been me that suggested "In the Wilderness" and damn even I forgot how hard that goes, especially when the intro switches into the full brutality of 2:25 the riff.

Also really surprised to see Soundgarden on the list! There's a reason why that song is one of my favorites from the Superunknown album... now I know why haha.
For me:
- *Converge - Under Duress* (the intro / main riff) - hits even harder with the bass intro before the riff!
- *Gojira - Blow Me Away You(Niverse)* (the breakdown riff in the middle) - the sliding octave chords with the inverted power chords, with each repeat of the riff slightly different than the previous repeat timing wise - simple but mean.
- *Revocation - That Which Consumes All Things* (the outro riff) - Just when you think it's over, it pummels you once again with this mean and sludgy riff.
So true about the gojira song, idk a single riff on Terra incognita that doesn’t deserve to be on this list😂

Hard to nail down the meanest Gojira riff. Main Silvera riff, intro/chorus riff to Explosia, that slow, ending riff on Flying Whales - the list goes on.
My dying fetus pick is panic amongst the herd. And for gojira it would be heaviest matter of the universe. You can’t go wrong with any Kublai Khan but same with Knocked Loose, Xibalba, and No Zodiac! I love the riffs off of All Hope is Gone but you can’t go wrong with anything off of Iowa. Awesome video! You need the hoody/ wind breaker to go with the hardcore cap haha

They’re not from bands, but rather some of the works of Mick Gordon and Andrew Hulshut are really really heavy. My favorites currently are BFG 10K and Beneath the Altair. Basically most of the stuff from DOOM 2016 or Eternal would fit pretty good in a heavy list.

You should check out some of Inter Arma's stuff if you haven't. Citadel has some filthy riffs. Same with An Archer in the Emptiness. Full of some real knuckle-dragger bullshit. It's great.
