Anything by Bleed From Within and Orbit Culture. Both bands are absolute MASTERS of the NASTY riff. They have a lot of the nastiest riffs I've ever heard.

I just wrote one of these. It was a rare improv moment that clicked so hard I'm saving it for anytime i need a breakdown. I made a really simple chromatic thrashy riff, 20103020 4 times and then a measure of 4 chugs, and then hit a pinch harmonic, slowed it, meshuggah'd the rhythm, made it power chords, added some extra notes, and got the hardest breakdown ever written lmao. then i hit my drop pedal to go a tritone down and started playing stacked tritones instead of power chords. This is gonna end lives in the pit when I eventually get a band going
Everyone talks about meshuggah’s later stuff but Humilative from their None EP is a heavy stank-face song.
They have a career full of stank

1:45 in to Threat Level No. 3 by The Black Dahlia Murder is one of the nastiest riffs ever in my opinion.
Dying Wish has a ton of sick riffs, one of my favorites is a minute in to Now You'll Rot. I once described it to a friend as "making me want to punt a baby through the windshield".
Wage Slaves by All Shall Perish, another band who needs no introduction.
Old The Acacia Strain always gives me stank face, especially Angry Mob Justice and Skynet.
The breakdown in Pillars of Serpents. It sounds fantastic in the original 03 Trivium version, their rerecording, and the Heaven Shall Burn cover. It's around 2 minutes in the original
Martyrium by Hiroshima Will Burn has an absurdly disgusting breakdown 57 seconds in. I think it's the song that made me realize what a breakdown was
