As someone who's starting to study how to cook, this is really helpful. Thanks sir!
Thank you for this very informative video Erwan. More of these please🙏🏻
Thank you very much. Been really confused about which are the healthy oils besides olive oil. Keep up the good work! ❤
Very informative! One of my faves from your channel!
Thank you for this. Very informative for someone like me who has shifted to a better way of eating.
so informative! thanks Erwan! i love watching u ☺️
thanks erwan this video helped/informed me tremendously as im trying to live a healthier lifestyleand diet.. thanks heaps and God bless
My god! good thing I get to watch this video. I've been trying to figure out which one should I use between pomace and regular olive oil. Thanks for introducing the Avocado oil Erwan! This is really helpful. :)
Glad I stumbled upon this informative video. I’m learning now to cook and this is very useful!
These oil can be use for other purposes like.. first, take your shirt off and rub the oil all over your body for moisturized smooth skin. Please do it and upload it on YT. It works!
trucomtipi the boy love his oil.
Misua Beach oh bigotry. 😁
This is helpful for me as a Culinary student. Thanks Erwan!
Very informative. Love this episode!
thank you this Erwan just another helpful vid. I appreciate this so muchh
The beginning was like a lowkey summarized BioChemistry lesson.
Wooah! been thinking about this, this is very informative! Please upload other videos relative to healthful tips like this. More power! :)
Thanks for the info buddy. I'm definitely going to change the types of oils I use
This is a great video Erwan! Hope to see more videos like these that talk about food/ingredients that are commonly overlooked especially on its effect on one's body 👍
this vid's incredibly informative. great content.
I enjoyed learning while watching!
I learned sometimes new today. Yay thank you!
Thank you for the vid. I had done wrong with the extra virgin olive oil, thought it's the best and use for all types of cooking.
I don't understand why some people would give a thumbs-down on this very informative video.
These are the people that are ignorant to change... and are still going by old outdated guidelines. If it wasn't for scientific quacks like Ancel Keys, the western diet wouldn't be in the mess it is today due to flawed research. Its a slow process to get people to wake up and realise low fat and carbs are bad.. but we are getting there
thank you so much for this video. so much info and great tips :)
Thanks for this. Great info! 👍
I needed this! Thanks!
Very informative, bruh! Awesome stuff! 🤙🏻
awww...I like this informative vid of yours Erwan!
This is such a helpful video. Thanks! :)
I like that you didn't just advertise popular products or scream 'chemicals', though maybe a little more there would have been nice. 3 surprises:
1. biggest surprise: sesame oil wasn't included in the list
2. Didn't bring up how easily/quickly they spoil/go rancid (shelf stability). Rancid oils make you just feel bad after eating them, but for some reason people ignore/are not taught about that.
*nut and sesame oils go bad really fast compared to olive
3. Olive oils: you brought up health concerns and noted 3 common types of olive oils, but didn't call out the pomace as being leached out vs pressed.
*While there can definitely be cause for concern there, even if you don't care about that, the agents used to leach pomace out are very noticeable on the flavor. I've helped several people out who were frustrated with sometimes getting a good tasting olive oil and sometimes a chemical-tasting oil. Skip the pomace or un-labelled and go for a 1st-cold-pressed or as close to that as possible and no more worries.
final sidenote: Although typically more expensive, oils in glass bottles last longer -vs- plastic that tends to let the oil go rancid sooner.
Plastic slowly lets moisture in, which is even an issue for containers of automotive sitting for years.
Buying a huge bottle can be an issue for that too, but I balance the cost vs risk of it going bad. Buy your oils from a place that sells a lot, so it isn't old oil about to turn.
Great content. Very useful for consumers .
This is really informative thank you for this!!!:)
Excellent information Erwan!! Thank you, I learned something new especially about avocado oil 😊
thanks for watching!
thanks for your knowledge mr erwan...now I know what I will used in dressings...😘😊😊
Thanks very informative. Been using canola or vegetable oil all my life in pretty much anything we cook at home. Tried to eat and cook healthy and bought extra virgin oil as a substitute for cooking. But turns out I'm doing it wrong. Will definitely get some coconut avocado and pomace olive oils. Thanks
Same here!
Quit that shit and use tallow and clarified butter grass fed

Thanks for this, Erwan :)
this is sooo helpful. thank you for sharing. :)
A 2016 study found that 72% of people thought that coconut oil was healthful, but only 37% of nutritionists agreed. Coconut oil also tends to solidify at less than room temperatures. If you keep a cool house you may find it difficult getting coconut oil out of the bottle.
A lot of "Nutritionists" are still going by old guidelines.. as that is what they were taught and people are resistant to change. It's amazing how many I have had to correct in the past when I have a diabetes review. Thankfully now I have a nutritionist that advocates Keto/LowCarb/High Fat. With Coconut oil storage, most now come in wide neck jars, due to that very issue, however it does tend to come to room temp and liquify quite quickly when open to the air. A warmed tablespoon is also handy to use, as it cuts through the solidified oil like butter
I rather have difficult taking oil out of the bottle, than cancer out of my body
Learned a lot. Thanks.
very informative video, thanks!
can u do a video about the kinds of rice? brown, red, white etc. 😀
I love this video 👍 Thank you
Great video man!
Thanks for this very informative video. I am guilty of using EVOO for frying, atleast now I know that I should also buy ROO and try avocado oil. Keep it up! And just a question, where can I use grapeseed oil? I actually searched about it, but it turned out that the oil cant be used for cooking, I am kinda skeptic about it.
Great content Erwan!
So informative, from palm, canola and vegetable oil planning to switch to coconut oil, now I know why I got Gerd. Hehehe

Good video. thank you.
Thank you, it was helpful. Can you tell us about sunflower oil?
thanks for sharing!!
Hey Erwan, thanks for this video. I am unsure about one thing you said about avocado oil. So if the bottle says its cold pressed, it means its not suitable for high heat cooking or are all avocado oil the same?
very informative...
thanks for this info! :D
Very informative 👍
I cook a lot in a wok and olive oil is really not a choice because it has a low smoke point and has a strong taste. I usually use canola and peanut.
Great info.
Great idea for a vid, man!
thanks Jer

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks Erwan!
hi Erwan! great video, very informative! I didn't know that canola oil is very bad for our health. yes I do have acid reflux 🙁. and I thought that Extra Virgin Olive Oil is much better for sauteing or frying eggs than pure olive oil and pomace.
I mean what do you expect hes Filipino don't really use Olive oil Not like how they do in Korea or Japan they use Olive oil a lot and now a lot of them are even Olive oil experts
respect for this guy, he has been preaching against seed oils for 4 years@

Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻 I'm not fan of cooking oil. And not always using them...
I tend to fry with grapeseed oil. Nice high smokepoint. I don't do deep frying , like ever though.
