You did mention abt old Vrnm composers & HMB / MV / TRS / Lalgudi J / BMK .sir....but just wanted to mention even GNB sir hs composed in rakti ragas like.....Ranjani / Kathanakutuhalam/ Aandolika / YKK.....( Of course you did mention raga names ) GNB went on to compose in Gavati too/ Ata talam !.... Bt it ws an overall refreshing experience......Godbless You wl defntly reach great heights in the Carnatic music world..... Reetigowla is one of the Rakthraga. Rakthi can be be achieved both Ragam & layam. We will get melody and rhythm Via Rakthi.There are good number of Rakthi,which was well explained by Smt Santhanagopalan. Good lecDem.
While the lecdem was very good, one does expect the expert committees members to add value. What Sudha Raghunathan offered was just praise and no critique. Sowmya was a shade better. Only Ritha Rajan seemed to speak from the role of an expert. Good show by Sriranjani, with all her research!
Tears come to our eyes when she speaks of the varnam in Kalanidhi ...composed by her aptly this year!!
