Well I was excited about Dyson bringing out a robovac, but I gotta say, I’m disappointed… I’ve got a much cheaper robovac which has LiDAR, a rotating brush on the side to guide dirt from edges and corners (I watched yours go around the corner missing a fairly large area), it also has a mopping mode and a tower that hold more dirt. The map it has made of my flat is almost perfect. It doesn’t require a dock with location tabs that need to be clearly visible. Also it can easily navigate around small objects on the floor… all for less than half the price…

@@wetham8667 not mine, I live in a small flat and do not have any large areas that I can have a dock with that much space. Mine is between a large chest and my other half’s gaming set up, less than 10cm form the chest and desk. As I work for a tech company and am myself understandably a “techy”, I can safely say that the Dyson vac is very low tech and honestly not very well designed. Square fronted robo vacs are well documented as being not ideal for their task unless they have the smarts to utilise their shape. For instance in the vid the vac went around the corner, rather that utilising it’s shape to go into the corners first before reversing out and going round.

It sure looks like a Dyson but it functions like a robot vacuum from 2017-not 2023.
No auto-emptying dust bin from a leading brand like Dyson is a shame. The "side brush" for corners and crevices seems like an unnecessary Dysonification of most Robovacs' spinning side brush. It's a shame an unsightly purple dock and vacuum have to be center-stage in your bedroom. The "Vis Nav" seems to use these trackers more like a Hollywood motion tracker instead of today's advanced AI and Li-Dar assisted maps-one of my favorite parts of my old robovac was having it return to the dock behind the side table, out of sight.
I think the soft roller is the right move on the brush, but it'd be nice for them to have some hybrid or dual roller for better carpet cleanup. The dust-particle counter integration into hot spots is appreciated!

I also recently had a sad memory of having to return it to Japan after purchasing it through the Japanese website and not using it for even an hour due to a defect while trying to set it up. The reason is that Dyson does not provide services in Korea except for officially launched products.

Many robots out there have their docks that robot can detect and navigate back to the dock without that fiducials, this means I can put docks in any place like under TV shelf to hide the robot and dock. and also, modern robots have many sensors that can detect small objects so they can avoid bumping into that. And the most important thing is other robots can set up where to clean and to stay away from in their apps.

Emptying stations often use bags which need to be replaced. These can also be bad for the environment and add maintenance costs. The Dyson 360 Vis Nav™ robot has zero maintenance costs over its lifetime. Emptying stations can also limit dock placement options. Instead of using a quick and flawed solution, the MyDyson™ app will tell owners when the robot’s bin is full, and they can empty it when needed. The one-touch ejection mechanism drives dust and debris deep into the bin in one action, ensuring hygienic and easy bin emptying.

@@dyson Sorry Dyson, but this is not what I want as an end user. I disagree with the stations, these are actually making the life easier. The idea is this (Human Maintain -> Stations Maintain -> Robots Maintain -> Home) you can develop the one-touch ejection mechanism directly for the station which has to last as much as possible until it gets full (and maybe trigger a notification). We buy robots to earn time, making our life easier while having the clean space.
By the way, the maintenance costs of that bag is not much at all. You can even provide 2-3 bags with the robot because it's not a cheap one anyway.

It’s a joke for the white and black squares in the dock ? Seriously Dyson 😅
I understand Why do you put them but let them appear in this way it is very « prototype » / « product not finished ».
Coming from you, I don’t think it’s in line with what you’ve accustomed us to.

Damn. Dyson lost its edge. I remember when they made innovative products. But this thing looks like it should've come out back in 2016.
11 minutes of power?... What an absolute joke 😂

Seriously, Dyson? Have any of your R&D team seen the competition? You’re a bit behind the curve with Roborock vacuums. Roborock S8 or S7 are the way to go nowadays!

only improvements are more money mmm... am impresed looks like there coping apple products more money for same old technology. my v12 laser sucks good but this robot with this price and old technology looks like it sucks alot more.

Does it have pet poo detection? Otherwise it would smear poop all over the house!!! Eeeek!

This is a very disappointing 2nd appearance for Dyson robotic vacuums
The setup is atrocious, the dock requirements are a bit extreme in comparison to the competitors easy to use docks, it's app navigation has so many steps to get to one thing, and it's very sad object detection has me overall wondering if Dyson is aware of the competition
Suction power alone won't do anything if the object detections, auto mapping features, user-friendly app, and overall ease of use is 5 years behind the competitors.
And the rumored price is above the roborock S8 max ultra with the docking station... I wouldn't pay $150 for this Dyson 360 Nav. Sticking to their tried and true handheld devices, and hope they go back to the drawing boards for this one

Sadly in the robot category Dyson lacks. In some of the other areas, awesome features with high price. Cannot see paying a penny for this product. Dyson needs to just buy one of the other robot companies, add some better quality and sell with the premium price.

Come on guys. Still using hands to clean daily? At least a full fledge dock with mop, clear and dirty water as well as a dust collector bag please…
So so so disappointed in this. Why still release this without any advantage over the competition…
Seems like Dyson is living in the past? To release the old feature robovacs

The 360 could not navigate and was a real disaster. Dyson seems to learned nothing. Hire some software guys from roborock and finaly admit youre VisNav is a dead end....

The side actuator is made of a pliant rubber-style material, so it flexes and bends when pushed against an object or wall - to avoid scratching or damaging your home.

this is overpriced garbage. you'd be better off with a Roborock S8 ultra at this price (seen @ 2’399AUD). This offer feels like an insult tbh.
